Alright now this picture is odd. Screen tearing affects the entire horizontal line of the screen, as screens are refreshed vertically one line at a time. Screen tearing as blatant as the one on this wiper would noticeably change the side of the car and the background on the track too... but it doesn't. This leads me to believe one of two things. 1. The wipers have an odd animation glitch, or 2. The camera recording the video simply couldn't keep up with the fast speed of the wipers causing inconsistencies in the video. Either way, it's not your regular screen tearing.

Its the camera recording it + uploading on youtube

Maybe is the camera
i saw many fifa 11 videos before game comes out and it was that the frames is less than 60 but it was from the camera

It just seems like possible configurations of a created track...not really a track listing because there is no discription or pictures beside it...

I think the top track on the left page is possibly Sugo in Japan. Just a guess...could be wrong but it looks suspiciously familiar.

~I think this is kind odd... but real. You can´t walk in a alfa romeo dealer and ask for a classic giulietta. I´m pretty confident there´s a lot of cars that are out of production or outdated ... ok ok, a lot of them could be purchased in the dealers, i agree... The possibility of buying all the 800 standard cars only from the used lists gives the game an extra flavor of "lucky". I mean... rare cars are probably hard to find, you need to be lucky.. to walk by a person selling a rare or classic car. So, what i am talking here is "Everyday you play gt5...a surprise will be waiting for u... just go there an check".

I like it.

Agreed. I like it too. There are certainly cars that will be in the used car dealerships all the time *cough* Skylines *cough* and then there will be those you'll have to look out for.

Makes it interesting.

I was under the impression he has it or am I wrong ?
I get the impression he has a standard retail copy or review copy, but the assumption being made was that he had a CE or Signature edition as he posted that picture of it next to the SLS :)

mine does that all the time on prologue, and it doesn't always affect the whole screen, sometimes it's just the car infront of me, or when I pass a car in prologue, also does it in uncharted and assassins creed, but those are alot worse, those are like half screen, still fixes itself quickly, but annoying all the samee. sometimes it just quickly tears, not like its the graphics card, it's like its the TV or how the PS3 is sending the games image. The tear looks the same as to what I get on cars in prologue, (top and bottom of an object lagging to catch up with one another) It's either the TV's refresh rate, or the way the game was made.

@Amar: could you tell what is this page of the Apex book about (sorry I don't know the exact page) ?

They don't seem to be tracks included in the game, but they don't appear to be real tracks either. What are those?
Are there more tracks than we currently know listed in the Apex book?

Sorry guys, havn't quite learnt how to quote, reply and generally use a computer :-/ Lol.

But yeah top track on the left...Sugo in Japan I think.

Like I said in my previous post. I could be wrong.

Didn't you hear the Zonda R has a special Transformer-wiper? Very high tech and cutting edge (basically consisting of small independantly working robotic parts clearing each part of the windscreen) and looking at this picture truthfully replicated too.;)

Sugo is different ...

That's really strange then, sounds like something specific to GT's engine. Normal screen tearing affects the whole screen, like this:

http://images.eurogamer.net/assets/articles//a/7/3/6/9/0/1/Dirt_Tear_2.jpg.jpg

If it only affects one aspect of it then it sounds more like a rendering bug than a performance issue... or a rendering bug caused by a performance issue that does the same thing as screen tearing but isn't really screen tearing :P

Although hopefully less random than the PSP version of the game.

That's kinda what I suspected, I'm really glad that if there is any tearing, it's probably not that drastic.

I hear ya

I know there was a site, i believe gamersyde? that had videos in a higher resolution with wipers...no tearing, so on your tv expect it to be perfect, you know the GT team isnt gona let tearing like that slip by:tup:

@amar IS there a way to free roam in the top gear test track like the Maserati did in the E3 trailer

They aren't random at all, there are set days, check out the GT PSP forum for the schedule.

Are there super rare cars, that only appear once a year, like there were in GT2?

That would be interesting if they had something like that for GT5.

Amar if you have time I bumped https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=4138269#post4138269 I was curious if you could test to see if you could copy your PS3 save from one console to another (if there's any kind of copy protection or what not)

Thanks again for the review!

There is, it's been stated, and I'm glad they did it this way, that way people can't get people's signature editions or CE and people can't cheat their way to a game save.

That's why they implemented the "gift" feature, you spend your own credits to gift something to someone. I like that idea much better.

spoiler alert
:dopey:

I know it's a joke, but instead of using , why don't you try using ? in that way it's really invisible. Like this (highlight to read): [invisible text].

This is a suggestion for Amar too!
Text in white is still quite readable.

Thanks for the info amar. Nice to see someone get the game early who deserves it. Really like the good old demio as a price car for the gold license:)

can we save our own game as a backup for ourselves? What if my PS3 dies and I need a new one? It wouldn't be the first time I've lost a PS3.
