okay, as nitro_2005 pointed out, he took all the cars for a quick lap around Le Mans II with RS5-Tires and came up with an 3'08.something for the Pug 905.

If you stick the the third gear when having to shift up, you'll save a huge amount of time and prevent a lot of wheelspin. I think it's actually possible to clock a 3'01 or better with the pug, but since you'll eventually will get a bit wheelspin in the third gear with RS2,3,4-tires, there might be an average time of 3'03 to 3'04.

I think if you end braking before turning into the corner and already accelerating out of the corner when starting to turn, the laptimes might improve. I think it's a bit hard to understand ... but it's not easy to describe.
I could try to capture a short video-clip explaining better what i wanted to say.
Hey dude, i've been doing a bit of testing with the Peugeot 905 myself, at Sarthe 2 on RSS tires I did a 2'56.568, a 2'55.xxx shouldnt be too difficult to achieve here, and I did a 3'03.046 on RH tires, could probably get another 2 or so seconds out of it.

Dont go any lower than 4th gear through the entire lap and carry as much speed through the corners as you possibly can and you should find these times quite easy to achieve 👍

I haven't driven the 905 since then and have to try my luck again (didn't think about never dropping below 4th gear) - but there is something that i don't like about Le Mans, though ...

Since you can "cut" corners on that track quite easy, I don't know what "is allowed" and herefore stay away from the corners where you could actually cut and improve laptimes drastically. Now, I don't know if it's just me driving like a granny with the 905 or if I'm braking too hard into the first chicane/the Ford-chicanes at the very end (you can cut there quite easy, thus i'll only hit the curbs with my tires at most)

Is there an avi around what is actually considered to be "on track" and "off track"?

In the WRS when they're racing on LaSarthe, they consider ANY concrete area to be part of the track, with only sand and grass being illegal. That seems to be pretty much the standard for the LaSarthe tracks... So all tarmac, concrete, rumble-strips, etc. would be legal; and all sand, grass, etc. would be illegal. So keep two wheels on the tarmac, concrete, rumble-strips, etc., at all times and you should be good.

PD should start to include bollards ... they keep the Le Mans-contestants on the road and are there for a reason.
Even if it means I'm slower, i'll stick to the racing line the real cars choose ...

Anyway, Grand Valley and Deep Forest got some new concrete areas, too - and in "Deep Forest I" they make the cornering after Corner 1 , going up the hill and into the following S-curves quite easier since it's possible to cut the track there easily - which I'm not really fond of, too.
Do you guys use them or do you stick to the "real" track there, too?

p.s.
Grand Valleys new infield-layout needs the new concrete-areas to be installed, otherwise there is no real need for them ....

RACECAR
to add to the authenicity, why not have the Participants pictures of the car they are running and themselves?(optional). A Leaderboard and a qualifiying list would be cool too.

I like this idea, however there are those that are a bit shy to let their true identities be known online.

Hey Vio I gave it another try, this time doing my best not to go near the rumble strips. I did a 2'57.445. I didnt even touch the rumbles on the first chicane or on the lead in to the long straight, on the final chicane I did actually, but unintentionally, put (only) two wheels beyond the inside rumble strip of the first part of the chicane, this probably saved me a little time but i'd still be in the 2'57s if I didnt (accidently) do this.

I'm aware of that, which is why I said the picture of themselves can be optional. its up to them if they want to put up their picture.

AGAIN
Is there any sort of timeline for this. IE-when qualifying is, timetrials, ect. We already have the TRACK schedule

okay, i'll take that time as a benchmark for my runs, thanks alot buddy!

aside from that, ... yeah, when will this thing get started?

nitro 2005 (hope thats right), my PS2 is working with GT4 so I'm be part of the series if its not too late.

im sorry many of my times are late but i have been in exams and the like so i have been unable to post them.

do i post from current events or post the ones that have expired?

I know I'm late. Is it possible for me to enter this late into the series?

Dude, to my knowledge, this series is dead. It's been floating around for around three months now, and the farthest it has gotten is Round 1 Quals.

So to answer your question, you can if you want. But you might be wasting your time.

Hey guys, I was looking alot forward to doing this Championship, like im sure a few of you were too, it was a great idea, so I was thinking about making a new Championship that will be more or less the same as this one was, and im thinking of adding a few more cars, like the Audi R8 among others, and also a couple different tracks aswell.

So what are you guys opinions, would you be interested in running the new Championship if I were to create it or not? I for one would like to.
