AMF isn't here. He can post now or forever hold his silence. WHere is he on holiday? Spain?

He never said. But when he gets back he sure won't be too happy. Not only has he lost the wheel tester poll, he lost his Audi too! I dunno how cars are going to be decided but the Audi seems the only problem at the moment.

You guys need to make up your mind. At first it was GT-One, then you wanted the 905, and now you want the Audi.

I've said since the start I wanted the Audi. Just golfer who keeps changing his mind. He went GT-one, 905, Bentley, now Audi.

Anyway this discussion is now over. I finally have BF3 :sly:

Well then golfer, make up your mind, or else i'll just join Jam in the Audi :P

Adam's had dibs for the Audi longer than any of you hommes.
And he lost the wheel testing poll by a pretty large margin. I think they were suspicious about him making a new account to get an extra vote too?? AMS97F1 I think it was called.. hmmm.

And golfer, you don't want the Audi, you just want Jamman as your team mate again :P

I want the Audi!

Oh and Jamman, this is good news that you have BF3. I will send you an invite and we will play immediately.

I tested the Audi at Laguna Seca and managed a 1:12.4 at 650hp. Now tell me that's not worth having a look at. That's faster than anything the GT-One could manage there.

The GT-One isn't faster everywhere, my own tests, and bk's tests do show that. It struggles at Nurb GP/F and Laguna, because of how twitchy it is and the lack of grip at low speed relative to the Audi. It's got it good at high speed though, in terms of straightline speed, as well as cornering speed.

I really did like how the Audi handled though, and that was without even tuning it as yet. I'd use it, but I don't want any form of success in S5 to be pinned on the car rather than the driver.

My test proved it had the worst top speed (the Audi) in a simple drag strip and as far as I know, the GT-ONE held over a whole second advantage at places like Monza and La Sarthe. Its way to fast at some tracks and slightly slower at others. Your also testing Laguna Seca which is bias towards mechanical grip which the Audi has.

No, that's a guy in my F1 league. They just happen to have similar names. He's been publishing the urge to vote for him everywhere :P

This is true :P

The advantage seesaws depending on racetrack. A long track full of straights like La Sarthe, and 1 second isn't actually that bad. High speed tracks=GT-One, while Low Speed=Audi. I think that over a season, it's pretty even between the cars.

I don't. GT-ONE hasn't got bad handling.

It would be true about the MINOLTA, Sauber, and probably some of the other GC cars, but the GT-ONE stands out.

I don't care all that much anyway atm, I'm sure if the advantage is too big we'll fix it after round 1 or 2.

But I see that Jamman is beating the c*** outta me with it everywhere.

Just to chip in, I remember saying I wanted a certain car because after the SSR5 league race, I tested it out. That car was indeed the Audi. :D

It hasn't got bad handling, but it does lack mechanical grip compared to the Audi. At Nurb GP/F, amf's best of a 1:44.6 was faster than my best time by 2 tenths, and I thought I put up a huge mountain to climb with that time. The GT-One was relatively a pain to get round that track as fast as I could, and I put quite a lot of stress on the tyres to be doing laptimes like that.

I also struggled in testing at Laguna to break the 1:12s in it, because of how twitchy it is at low speed. Instantly took out the Audi and was a lot faster there.

Bombe, take the GT-One to Laguna Seca, then take the Audi. See the difference. Maybe then you will see that the Toyota doesn't have such an advantage as you have it out to. And I mean, if Jam has a GT, and you are using the useless Pesky, of course you will be slaughtered!

If your going about using the Audi's strongest track which is also the GT-Ones weakest track for an (unfair) comparison, we might as well then use La Sarthe too or Monza!

You don't really think I'm basing any of my statements on my Pesky's performance?

And to be fair to the Pesky, I beat you with it :P

Jamman is beating the C*** outta me with the Audi, that's what I'm saying.

I took the Audi and GT-ONE to Suzuka, no need to go to Seca too.

GT-ONE and Bentley were fastest
Audi and 787B approx +1.1 sec behind them.
Idk about the others, becaue BK hired a Stick-man to do the job and I quit.

EDIT: But as I've been saying, I don't like the Audi. Anyway, my GT-ONE has won the laptimes tests at both tracks and adding up the two laptimes it's a pretty good amount ahead of the Audi...

Well, you're the first person to do an unfair comparison by giving me results at the GT's strongest tracks, which were also the Audi's weakest, without showing how much faster the Audi is at other tracks. I just took the courtesy of doing that for you, just to help prove my point that it will balance out over the season between the cars.

If the GT-One gets ballast, then that Audi better get some as well.

Also bombe, you wouldn't have beaten me if amf didn't decide to use me as a barrier.

At which track did he use you as a barrier? I beat you both times we were present at the same time. Hahah ;)

Anyway, I'm suspecting BK to just start out with the regs as last season, but with 700 bhp. If one of the cars is much faster than the others, it'll get fixed. But as it is now, it's impossible to say precisely which cars are faster. Hopefully, our 1 pre-season race will give an indication if people decide to show up in the cars they are using in S5.

But you'll have to ask BK though, I'm just guessing. This discussion is tiresome and everybody's biased one way or the other...

The BMW isn't slow at all, the 908 have proved to be quite competitive as well before, so I don't think there are too much of a difference. Although I am fearing for the 908 that its setup is no longer as good as it used to be.

I know that Jake at Nurb was faster with the BMW than with his Bentley yesterday.

Alright. If the 908 is slow we always have the 787. I'm gonna take the Bentley most likely...maybe GT-ONE

On a side note: BF3 is the most epic game I have ever played

Which track did I do that was an unfair comparison?? All I can remember is the TTGT testing which showed that the GT-ONE has a huge advantage over top speed. I remember that at the TTGT, the GT-ONE clawed back 3 tenths in the final sector because of those straights. The other sectors are more mechanical grip.

jakegirard
I still haven't made up my mind as to car choice. Could be Bentley, GTOne or BMW. Leaning BMW with Tiss though.

Edit: Tiss, sorry if my man crush on you is embarrassing, but, alas, you're my hero LOL

Hahaha!
bermudakid
tiss , bk & jake........................ hmmm

Sounds like a winning team.

Not sure if I still want to do this. It'll require much time and effort, and quite frankly I can't see myself having that nor do I think I'd do well. :(

Nice googled, lol. Mine is self-made :P

Jamman, you got gifts in your inbox.

No lol, I already knew that from reading it in 'F1 Racing' magazine. :sly:

Its a shame Jamman won't see his gift till around next year when he finally gets of BF3.

I no longer want the Audi, if everyone is fighting over it then ill move on to something else. BMW or whatever has a free slot.

I know amf & tom both wanted the r8 from last season. If they are too many people that want it I'm just gonna pick names out of a hat.

This is rediculous , you hommes can't be reasonable about anything.
