No way that's my position :D

After doing some quick testing the Audi is very very fast through the infield section but when I come on to the banking and through the chicane I lose a lot of time. Plus my wheel is slowly dieing, unless smoke is an accustomed feature of the DFGT lol

I thought you never used it?

Well I've always used it for F1 2011. Now that I've been using it on GT5 for about 3 weeks now it seems to be finishing it off

Don't worry. The smoke is one of the features of the DFGT. Designed to smell like real exhaust fumes too.

In other news, I won't be competing this season at all because I am in the process now of re-aranging by bedroom fro my new TV and building a new wheel stand, thus my current one is out of action and I can't drive with controller. I will continue to post though.

Jamman, same applies to the F1 series.

EDIT: OMG, quali is starting right now and someone that looks like Mark Webber just ran past my house. Come one Mark! Get back to the track.

Driver change

I will be taking Golfer's spot at Toyota Racing in the 1999 Toyota GT-One, since he has quit the season and I don't feel like grinding all morning for a Mazda 787B :grumpy:

This means there is 1 open slot for a Mazda 787B Driver.

I may be taking that spot in the 787B. I need to grind and test it first.

Either that or the minolta, most likely, unless a R92CP pops up or something.

Make sure to check out the Le Mans Tuning Garage (first post) for some good baseline tunes for the car.

I won't make tonight from taking part in a swimming competition and will pull out of the season as the new time won't suit me and 90% of the time I'll quit mid-race through. Thanks guys for a great few races.

Time to go on a recruiting drive.

I could easily see us having only 3 or 4 cars finishing a race this season due to low turnout and disconnects and quits.

Two drivers lost from season 5 in an hour :(

Does anyone wanna join Audi?

how much is it in the dealership I think I have about 3 or 4 mill but I have not tested it so not sure if I will be any good

Just bought a 787B.
I also own a R8 Oreca.

I'll be gone in one hour for two hours. So if it's 10 now, I'll be gone from 11-1.

About to start testing the 787B.

Edit:
Wow... 787B... I don't think I'm even going to bother testing the R8 Oreca. 787B makes me happy :D

Going to test it on Spa to check a few things. May test the R8. But so far the 787B looks like it will be my car of choice.

What's everyone's breaking points for the fast chicane. I can't find anything (practical) for reference

Tested the R8 Oreca on Sarthe.

I wish I hadn't, now I'm stumped on which car to use.

On to Spa!

drive the 787b

After an all nighter and a 2 hour nap, I'm ready.... Hope i don't fall asleep in the pit lane waiting on fuel!

It's a tough call.

I think the 787B was faster at Sarthe, which is the race I care most about since it's my favorite track and I'm actually decent at it.

At Spa though, the 787B can't take Eau Rouge flat out nor can it take the last sweeping corner flat out [with stock tune anyways]. The R8 Oreca can but I think it's slower at slow speed turns because the 787B had a quicker telemetry than the 88C-V at Sarthe for the slower turns and the R8 didn't.

R8 and 787B both seem touchy, but at different ways.
787B skids a bit in first gear, R8 a bit in second or third.

I think I might stick with the 787B though. Quicker at Sarthe > Quicker at Spa.

Also I'm about to leave for a few hours. Should be back in time for quali, not sure though.
