Welcome aboard! Your post just reminded me though, that the Group C cars have all been forgotten in all this scrap for cars. Maybe with an increase in power, we may see them back in action. Ace, if you're using one of the Nissans, use the R92, it handles pretty well and as good top speed, not too hard to control either, but tyre wear is rather bad though. No one has tested it since before Spec II, so that could have all changed.

These are some of the new guys that will be joining our series this season.
mixed in with the old vets we should have an awesome field for Season 5

They haven't been spotted in this new thread, but none of them indicated that they had changed their mind...

Ill add them, and create a list. Ill try to finish the thread later tonight

Ahaha I'm complete crap at being consistent. I can get pretty quick sector times but that's usually only one good sector per lap.

I'll see what I can do to get my PS3 connected to my G27. Might have to move some cables around, since I would need to move the PS3 to my room where I have a suitable spot for the wheel.

I've been testing some cars on Grand Valley.

I find it amusing how just about everyone has forgotten about the Group C cars.
V12 LMR is actually a very nice car.

88C-V is at about the same level as the 908, V12 is a bit faster

Bentley Speed 8 [no ballast] is insane with that amount of grip. Geez

CLK-LM and Esperante GTR are nowhere near the other cars [as was expected] but the CLK-LM could probably be a viable option. I would need to mess around a bit more. Esperante has nowhere near the top speed or at least acceleration needed to keep up.

Going to test the remaining few cars I have. All stock, AT, Controller, while in a sleeping bag.

Esperante and CLK are not in this series, so it doesn't matter how slow they are ;)

MU, why not?

If we're racing next Saturday I won't be able to make it. :(

Well there's good news and bad news.

Good news: It's only a pre-season.

Bad news: If you go you get 20 points added to your season points straight away :(

Btw how do you like our new website for the F1 league?

I have to go to a party ffs. Of all days, same thing happened when we were supposed to have the Monza race last season, but I didn't miss much! :P

Yeah Jamman, It's quite good so well done to you and Tom! My only criticism is that the colours clash a bit but it's no biggie. :)

Well Tom created all of it lol. I just thought of name for it. Yeah, another guy said that about the colours too. We are working on improving it lol :)

Bombe, you got another one of those Homme(l) cars that you could give me? Preferably in pink? :sly:

EDIT: Pretty please? :dopey:

I know :P, but then technically the GT-ONE shouldn't be allowed either since they were in the same class.

Final Results:
Speed 8
R8 '01
R8 '05
V12-LMR
GT-ONE
R89C
88C-V
908 HDi
C60 Hybride
CLK-LM
Esperante GTR

Still need to get an R10, the other two C60's, a 787B, XJR-9, R92CP, C9, and a 905 to complete my collection.

Hmm Speed 8 above Audi '01?
V12 above GT-one?

I don't like the way the GT-ONE or R8 '01 handle, and it shows in the rankings.

Edit: At least with a controller I don't like how they handle.

Edit2: Again, all these cars have 0 ballast and are stock tuned save for the engine limiter.

The GT-One was changed from GT specs and put with LMP class.

It wasn't actually.

It was put in LMGTP in 1999 with the Audi R8C's and Benz CLR's.

It was never in the "LMP" category. The R390, CLK-LM, McLaren F1 GTR, and Esperante GTR were with the GT-ONE in the GT1 category until it was removed in 1999. Then the R391 was in LMP as was the V12-LMR.

The LMGTP class stood for Le Mans Grand Touring Prototypes which were evolutions of production cars that the ACO deemed too quick for GT1, so they were forced into a "prototype" category.

Ooo, I didn't really know that much about them. I just got schooled. Maybe I should ban the gt1. Lol

Any chance to join the series? I'm quite experienced in LMP1/Group C, and this could be a great challenge for me
