I think the last time I posted in this thread was before I actually got my first car. That was seven years and eight cars ago, so here's a progression to get myself caught up:
12/2013-5/2016: 2003 BMW 530i
8/2016-5/2019: 1996 Lexus LS400
4/2017-10/2017: 2003 GMC Yukon
10/2017-2/2019: 2006 Honda Accord
3/2019-present: 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350
12/2019-12/2020: 1996 Toyota 4Runner
12/2020-present: 2004 Toyota 4Runner
12/2020-present: 2002 BMW 330i
I had some of these cars concurrently. If you want to see what that looked like, I made a spoiler:
tl;dr: a Lexus got lower, a Mercedes got different wheels, and a house changed colors
The last time I posted around here, you still had your 5 series, which I found to be beautiful!
Sad to see it gone... But if I remember well, it gave you a few headaches no?
The Lexus is immaculate, I particularly like that generation with a more square body line, giving it a stately presence... I wish yours was a better lighter color than dark/black...
The GMC Yukon seems to be the ugly duckling of your stable lol... But the aftermarket beefy wheels gave it a purposeful look.
I don't know why, but I find your Accord so good looking, weirdly find it dare I say the most attractive car in your stable despite the BMW, Merc and Lexus, which really are not shabby at all.
I really wish you had kept it, or had I know maybe picked it up from you...
I like that combination of grey, tinted windows and the wheels that all enhanced the lines of this facelift generation.
That generation E class is among the best looking, and the chosen color is on point... I have nothing to say but praise on the choice.
Both 4Runners are superb, but if I had to choose and really if I were you, I would have kept the 1996, that is absolutely my most favorite 4runner generation!!
Why didn't you sell it to me !!! And those wheels!!!! They are perfect! What size tires did you put on? They don't seem to be OEM size.... You did it correctly mate.
The E46 is IMHO the very best looking 3 series gen, on equal footing with the E30.
The first gen ZHP is exactly what!
And please tell me it is a manual, logically by ZHP definition if my memory serves me well...
The color is very nice, but unfortunately it seems yours has seen better days... You need to clean the black plastic trims to make them pop!
In sum:
You have got great taste in cars...
Personally, your three car garage for me would have been:
Lexus LS
Honda Accord
Toyota 4Runner 1996

The 5-Series experienced pretty much every typical BMW issue you can imagine, plus some bonus items like the torque convertor. During my last week of high school, my mom gave me a call and told me I was on the hook for maintaining the car from then on, at this point I decided to sell it.

The black/gray two tone was actually my preferred color! Silver Jade is my favorite, but the car just had so much presence in black, especially compared to your common white or gold LS400.

I also liked how the Accord looked... When I listed it for sale, it got totaled a week later so the insurance company was the party who ended up buying it from me.

The tires were actually the normal tire size, 265/70/16 or something like that. The '96 is more of an 'experience' whereas the '04 is more livable. This year I'm moving to a location where I'll see more freeway travel versus just driving around town, so I didn't want to keep the '96 and get to a point where I got tired of it. The '04 V8 is pretty ideal for my purposes.

This one predates the ZHP by one year; it's the regular sport package called ZCP. It is a manual, but it has a 5-speed instead of a 6-speed like a ZHP. I finally washed it for the first time yesterday and I can't wait to unleash my detailer friend on it. The hood is too far gone, but I'm curious to see how the rest of the car cleans up. Luckily the E46 was a really common car, so I should be able to buy some trim rather than maintaining these ones that have already been thoroughly washed out after 19 years in the sun belt.

Unfortunately last month the Pathfinder was declared a write-off for bent chassis rails. As transportation during this rather difficult period in my life has been quite necessary, we had to purchase a new car quite quickly:
And here it is. A 2012 Mazda CX-5 Maxx Sport - 1 previous owner with 86,000km on the clock.
The Civic has been gone for ages and my son is now driving the Pilot.
The other two vehicles in the garage are a '19 Tacoma TRD Pro and a '20 Highlander Hybrid Platinum. I actually wouldn't mine the hybrid system in the Tacoma since it won't be offroading and the gas mileage for such a large vehicle is pretty decent.
I drive a 2008 Honda Fit
Wife drives a 2007 Honda Accord
Also have a 2003 Honda S2000 for Auto-X and HPDE track days but its mostly a garage queen
Sorry no pics, they are all stock so you already know what they look like
Update: Sold the 2008 Fit. Sold the 2007 Accord.
I now drive a 2017 Honda Accord coupe with a 6-speed manual. The last year they made the coupe.
Wife now drives a 2016 Honda Odyssey. #vanlife.
The S2000 is still sitting in the garage, gaining value.
Amongst the legendary and iconic cars from Japan in the 90’s, the FTO came along as a wacky option that never really caught on. Underrated? I think so, amazing? Questionable. This car was very much an oddball in my eyes and something different, which is exactly why I wanted one. I bought a project one for dirt cheap and realised I was well in over my head… the 6A12 2 litre MIVEC V6 squeezed in the engine bay where the drivetrain and transmission sat was far too tricky and complicated for a first project car. In comparison my MX-5 allowed me to fall into the engine bay.
I bought this interesting example a few months ago, mechanically in great shape (besides a sensor which typically goes on these) but body wise a bit rough, as evident in the photos. The car is littered with surface rust and probably about to sprout out some roof rust. The car sits at just under 100,000km’s, is a 5spd manual and is pretty much bone stock aside from a head unit some interesting touch ups from the previous owner with those being the intake, tire writing and items such as a fuse box cover, painted calipers… you get the deal.
It's aged fairly well, every option on it still works – that being all electronics and gauges, climate control, windows, demister, etc. the only things that have broken are the stepper motor which I replaced recently, fold up mirrors switch and central locking for the passenger door. But a major downside appears to be the surface rust springing up in quite a lot of the body which is quite disappointing, something I need to sort out properly. Other than that, minor things remain but still a very daily-able car.
Being a unique car – to an extent, it’s always been something I’ve had in my mind but never thought of owning but due to the inflation of the car market I just bit the bullet and bought one to enjoy, and for the past month or so I really have been enjoying it. The larger exhaust provides a nice spike at 2,000 RPM which sounds great. I’ve never been one for driving a loud flashy car but I gotta admit, it’s kinda nice. Of course, I could have gotten something better which from time to time I do think about but it’s the enjoyment it brings and plus I can always just save up and buy another car right…?
Questionably rice, kinda nice. The FTO is here to stay – Assuming I can keep it running nor doesn’t rust away.
Guess I'll post. Always been a one car guy. Probably could own another if it wasn't for youth soccer...Previously owned Cars - '86 Merkur XR4ti Modded (Probably my favorite that I've ever owned); '95 Mustang GT Convertable; '98 Acura Integra GSR; '04 Lexus IS300; '05 Subaru Legacy GT; '10 Mazdaspeed 3; '05 Infiniti G35X; '10 Infiniti EX35; '14 BMW X1 (Traded if for current vehicle).
2019 Q50s AWD Signature Edition current car and I absolutely love it! Can't see myself ever getting rid of. Modded with Burger JB4 and AMS intakes. Running a little over 400HP and best fuel on best map. Will do a few more bolt-ons and some suspension parts as time moves on.
Edit: Also have a 2021 Carbon Edition Mazda CX-9 that my wife drives. It's actually a pretty fun 3-row SUV.
