Are the ones with a * in the sprint cup? So in theory I’m leading the points for the Nationwide or is Mule?

You are leading the points. Mule isn't as he has a *

I've left them in for reference but left of your car number is your points standing position.

So Crazy needs to look for a driver for the #48...

40 laps at Indy should be way less draining, and there'll be fewer incidents hopefully.

Well I have had 2 drivers in that car so far and I'm not going to any extraordinary lengths to fill that seat in. So whenever me, mudd or dowhat can do double duty on such given day. We will vacate that seat.

Sounds good 👍

Definitely preferring more experienced drivers to enter the field at this moment in time.

We currently have 10 runners towards the Nationwide title so the balance is about right in my book.

Yep, definitely. Rick Ware looking good in the owners, Indy should be slightly less stressful.

The full-time Sprint Cup team are churning it out on the Nationwide circuit too.

Emphasis on the word 'slightly.'

Ah, I'm optimistic, JRM will be strong and I will guarantee that.

I just hope everyone gives each other room and time.

Track position at Indy is much more important than at Daytona so bear that in mind when qualifying next Saturday.

I will most likely move the lobby host to Niop as he can kick people while we all race along. I can trust him with setting the room settings and I know his connection is very strong and I don't think I've ever seen him DC. He is NAT2 so hopefully unfortunate folk like me, jazza, Filipe and Trynor could get a full race.

Man, for the 8 laps that I was still racing, It was scary entering the corners with Dave cutting me up! :scared:

Hence why I'll be going for a top 5 in qualifying, anything less will make the race a real struggle.

Nationwide is great for Ford, just gives us a chance to get some seat time.

With regards to fastfox400 and the start of the race, I'm still concerned with how a few drivers, most notably MustangRyan had him two laps down at the start of the race. My screen showed him on the lead lap until he pitted very early on, going down a lap and staying a lap down until his shifter was unplugged.

I hope his issues can be ironed out for next week as that is definitely not a good sign.

In case anyone is wondering, I will use the GT5 finishing order as the correct finishing order and my replay to check who leads which lap. If you are disconnected like myself, you will be still granted points regarding how many laps you completed.

After watching the replay, I was concerned that Dave was deliberately taking out drivers from other teams. Dave had no lag as far as I or any other steward could see and I've raced with him before and he seemed clean to me but his behaviour on saturday was far from tolerable. His situation became so bad, MustangRyan had to push to make sure he didn't interfere with the lead pack. He wrecked Tom in the last few laps when Dave himself was a few laps down. He was effectively pit maneouvring all drivers bar the RCR guys. I don't what came over him and didn't even apologise or say anything to suggest that what he did was wrong. As you're the owner, I felt as if you should have raced or tested with this guy in a Nascar lobby but after parking him, I felt that is all I could do based on evidence seen.

I counted twenty different incidents in that race, fourteen involving Dave where he would not give the lowline car room at all.

Really disappointed in him as that race would've been highly enjoyable despite the lap 1 wreck.

Why wouldn't the Sprint Drivers get Drivers' points?

Cos' that's the rules in real life. It's to make sure that the more experienced Sprint Cup drivers don't run away with the championship.

I'm fine with dave leaving. He's in the UK and you know I'm not online until 8pm cdt. So that never works. But he expressed interest and had sense enough to host his own series. So I took a chance and made that public in this thread. I haven't seen the replay yet but based on what was said, its enough to make me believe he is a poor driver. There's no hard feelings. I'm just unlucky as to securing that car.

Without sprint cup drivers this would have a 10 car field next week, so we help fill up the grid. Having sprint cup drivers run with the nationwide drivers also lets the team owners see how the drivers compare to those from the sprint cup.

What does that mean?

Irl, the Sprint Cup drivers don't earn points in Nationwide, but we're not pros, and a lot of the Nationwide Drivers here could probably be even with the Sprint Drivers.

I beg to differ mate. ACDC and Joe could sweep the ovals and road courses respectively.

I'm afraid if you let the Sprint drivers earn points in Nationwide, we'll end up with the same Champion in both.

Haha, true.

If anyone else noticed that in the lobby before the first lag test race at 6:35pm GMT last night, Niop casually took to the track and posted a time of 50.437 and went back to the lobby.

I will not allow Sprint Cup guys to earn points despite that being the official Nascar procedure 17 months ago.

The season finishes just when the Nascar Sprint Cup chase begins so there will be movement inter-series anyway at that point.

Next week is a much shorter race and should be far more relaxing.

Considering my eventual pole time of 50.435 was with my original Daytona race setup from before season 2 (faster than my current one but it has worse tyre wear), this doesn't surprise me.

Haha, true. If there's anyone who can top Niop's qualifying speeds, its you.

Those times blew my mind especially when the week before, pole was set with a 50.565 and I could only manage a 50.620 and landed second.

I didn't think it was possible to beat a 50.5 but low and behold, Joe and Niop do it.

Definitely, gonna give you a run for your money this saturday.

I mostly appear to qualify towards the bottom of the field in any oval race (even in the "easier" Nationwide) but somehow glitch farther up the order when the race begins...

I'm eagerly waiting for the road courses, I definitely have no idea of my pace there ^^

I dont believe cup drivers should earn NW points. I hardly tried in the exhibition. I used that race to test the waters and give my team a strategy. (This worked as two guys got a podium, despite daves performance). Then I raced merely to ensure smuffy would beat the two NW drivers he was packed with. If I were racing for points I would be racing on a different level with the NW guys.

I don't think anyone used a qualifying setup the week before, so that may explain it a bit. I only used one to help our team. If Filipe was unable to get pole, the plan was for me to set the quickest time to ensure that nobody else gets the point for pole.

I have a qualifying setup for Indy, but grid position may be more important.

Vice versa for me. I got 3rd and started near last in the lag test.
