Should we change Race 14 (14 laps of Daytona Oval) and if so to what?

  • 5 laps of Monza (No Chicanes)

Trans-cammer thing, 500ish BHP, Comfort Softs, and an oval and a road course from the one place each week. A race on the Daytona speedway, and then on the roadcourse, then Indy Speedway and road course, and Motegi speedway and road course.

This is very, very, very similar to the idea I had in mind.

I like the idea of the same-track doubleheader. 👍

Indeed.

Only issue is incorporating tire and pit strategy. I really want that to be a factor in S2 as much as it was in S1. I'd like a tire to degrade with 15 minutes of racing but that's not going to happen with Comfort Softs. So, I could make mandatory pitstops but that's not fun or simply increase race distance.

Sport Softs might be a little more close to what you are wanting.

I had an interesting idea for Vintage NASCAR S3 but it could be applied to this. You have 3-4 race weekends but for each round, a different car; the ones I had in mind were the Plymouth Superbird, Trans-Cammer and Buick GNX/Grand National but for this, you could up the number of rounds and add a few more unconventional cars. I'm thinking Cobras, old Corvettes etc.

It's a vintage based idea but you could always switch it up with modern muscle if you wanted.

Ha, I meant to suggest the Grand National/GNX for the next season of Vintage, but posted in Thunder instead. :ouch:

Yeah, I was considering it either way  Probably won't be an S3 for a while; if IndyCar wraps up before December I might bring it back in those same weeks I ran it last year before Christmas.
