Don't you feel Supercar Reinassance is underpopulated? The SLR is sorely missed... :( and the Koenigsegg CC8S and the Gumpert Apollo belong here too! (full Forza 4 nostalgia on.)
P.D. Heck! the Rossion Q1 is still around!

I feel the Murcielago would have been a good fit for that division, too.

Yeah I totally agree! And with Fred above as well. Another division that is a bit thin. I think more balance in the car divisions would make the racing more fun, both in the individual game as well as League and Online play. Hopefully this can be a lesson that they learn from for Forza 8.

2:22.150, an entire day spent trying and cannot crack that time. Turns out the 2:22.220 wasn't "rough" it was just because of the rain

Tried a few other cars (Enzo, Carrera, 8C) but the Saleen is definitely the best car for me. I'll keep trying when I get the chance but I've reached that point where the harder I try, the worse I get :irked:

2:23.181 in my special 8C, top Alfa in the wet!
Scratch that, 2:22.215, I updated the tune.
Friday update: 2:21.881! I don’t know how much I can push her, I would be happy with a 21.5xx but it really is not a speed build...

After probably the most stressful race I've ever endured, I managed a 2:21.578 - almost half a second off my previous best.
Annoyingly, I made a few mistakes in that lap and I know I could have got a better time, but in the next 4 or 5 laps it was disaster after disaster :irked:

It’s all part of the hot lapping game, sometimes you cannot get close go away have a cuppa lol come back and it’s there :D

I pulled off 2:22.029 in my Saleen S7. I will try another go around in the Enzo later, and I'll post some times in various cars. I stayed away from the Ford GT and the Carrera. I just don't think those 2 cars will be applicable in the conditions we're racing under.

It really really does affect the performance for sure.
Is the GT-R FE the one that awards a bonus on Suzuka? I must have a blast myself on a dry track, since I know the track inside out now...

Yes it is, a 50% bonus and a 50% for Suzuka !!! A beautiful way to up your credits and enjoy a nice drive through the Japanese countryside!

Nice! I could happily put in 20 or 30 laps of Suzuka in that car, with a few premium mods it would be quite the cash reward. I would also add the full compliment of Drivatars (collision off) for even extra dough :D

Home from vacation, what did I miss .

Off-topic: Anyone planning to go to the Nordschleife this year?

You missed so much. I insist you hit the track immediately :irked:

Welcome back :gtpflag:

What I wouldn't give to go... Doubt it would be worth risking my S4 on though.

I risked my 987 S two years ago. You will regret having never been there. Of course for me it‘s „only“ a 4hour drive.

I've no doubt I'll get there some day. When I had the big A6 Avant (3.0TDi quattro) and was ready for a new car, I planned to strip it out - remove all back seats, carpets, unnecessary materials, and take it to The Ring for a day of fun without worrying about damaging the car.
But then the garage offered me a LOT more than I was expecting as trade-in on my A5 Coupé (£6k, I thought it was maybe worth £2k), so my plans were shelved.

The S4, despite being extremely fast and certainly capable of handling the demands of the green hell, IS still a family car... and far too valuable to risk crashing, especially when the insurance company almost certainly wouldn't pay out if the worst happened :ouch:

Some day...

After some trial runs, I think I will use the Mazdas. The prototypes (Chevy and Ford) are fun, but not as fast, and the open cockpit models don't feel as stable.
And I'm doing it wearing the Astronaut driver gear!

Also want to mention - I have changed week 10 slightly. Rather than Le Mans Old Mulsanne, I have changed it to the new track (with chicanes), as I feel the older track will rule out a few cars from realistically challenging due to the top speed achievable by a couple of Hypercars on Hunaudières.
Unless there is a lot of backlash for that minor modification :scared:

That's perfectly fine with me, we had run that combo (Le Mans, no chicanes in hypercars) in the old series, so a bit of change is more than welcomed.

I was racing this event with the full complement of drivatars. But the damn Mazda's were blocking me at every turn! In terms of the ratings, their acceleration would seem to make this impossible. I had turn it to 0 drivatars. The Porsche was very fast, and the handling was slippery. I managed a 1:21xxx when the lap was clean. I must admit, the faster the car, the more mistakes I make. So gauging my times based on livery, seems to be a moot point. I think the Mazda's are certainly worth a careful look.

I agree as well. I actually prefer the newer track almost all the time.

I was thinking that as well, and adding the chicanes will (should) level out the playing field a little - few cars will reach max speed before the chicane(s).

Likewise mate, loved it ever since Gran Turismo 4 S-license, getting gold with the Bentley Speed 8. Ah... memories <3

Again, I'm brining up the rear. I thought I had a decent time as well, just can't understand how you Top guys can run 6-7 seconds faster. I was full throttle almost the whole course. I agree as well, Maple Valley was a lot of fun with these cars. Surprisingly so. Kudos to the leaders! And on to the next track! Ahhh sweet sunny Spain and GT Cars!!! A pleasure for sure!
