I think know what you mean; Games are not 100% realistic but some are really close to the real thing.

I'm not a PC gamer so I don't have iRacing, it looks like a good game though.

iRacing looks like an excellent sim game, but its too expensive. You have to buy a wheel/pedal setup, have a good computer that can run the game, pay the monthly subscription, and don't you have to buy each car and track with real life money?

Neither am I. Sticking to PS3 (won't go to PS4) until I can either get an incredible deal on a decent PC or get a job and buy my own PC. Although Macs can run a few games.

GT5 was the reason I got a PS3. It will be the same way when I decide to buy the PS4. Weather it be GT6 or 7. I almost feel like I have to buy GT6 for the PS3 though. I've owned all the previous installments of the game so I need to get this one.

Back on to topic. I cant remember off the top of my head, but I think a 1:38 was my fastest lap around Daytona so far on a perfect lap.

A 1:47.xx is not too difficult with the new specs. The real life pole was 1:47.4 or so. The old specs we were too slow.

I think more like 39's for DP and then * for Ant. He shouldnt be grouped with the rest of us. and at the same time.

But yeah my 38 was more like a 38.999 or something like that. Heck, it might not have even been a 38. From last season it seemed like DP was about 7 to 8 seconds faster. So I may have to check my time again when I get home.

Yeah, about that. The Chevrolet pulls out 1:47's but Audi, Ferrari and Dodge are a second off that, give or take.

I'm thinking that the Audi and Dodge may need a little power bump, but let's see how pre-season goes....

Yeah, right. I did a couple sub 1:48s last season in the Audi on the old specs.

We are using no ABS, Rich. Besides, if we're talking Seca, you guys in GT should have hit sub 1:25's and you didn't, given these are faster specs than last season and guys were hitting 1:25's.

I didn't see the issue in my few laps before DC'ing, that is on my BB of 4,2.

It's just about being smooth, go in and jam the brakes and you deserve to crash tbh..

Tbf, if the range on the ds3 between smooth braking and "I killed a man with a trident" is the same difficulty as finding that warm spot in the shower...

For the DS3 what I do (this is what I do)


I put my middle finger between the lip of L2 and the controller, and use that as a sort of added spring.

Brake balance of 4/1 for DS3 should keep control easy enough. As people seen at Laguna I locked up every now and then but it had little effect. That's where you get the time from in no ABS. Once you find the point where you can brake on the limit while being able to control it if you overstep it.

Then it becomes less about braking and back to hot lapping.

I'll be home but I expect GT to be full Polar. If it isn't then it comes down to if I have the energy. Wonder what car I'll get if that does happen .
