GTP Rolex | Season 5 | Complete! Help Plan!

With the gt6 car list released, what do you guys see for the conti challenge and rolex going forward? I'm certainly excited about the choice of car for conti :)

I think that the options are much better for Conti, with newer cars. Rolex Prototype is as confusing as ever...

Rolex GT will probably be GT3 cars, as they could race in real life.

Right off the bat for CTSCC, we have:

Ford Mustang Boss 302
Chevy Camaro SS
BMW M3
Volkswagon Golf GTI
Mazda Miata
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Dodge Challenger
Scion FR-S
Audi TTS Coupe
Ford Focus ST
Nissan 370Z
BMW Concept 1 Tii

As for the Rolex GT, Definitely some GT3 cars there (though only the BMW Z4, Audi R8 and Ferrari at the moment, which could use some Customizations). Very interesting in seeing if we can imitate the GT3 Viper and the GTS-R.

I think we should use the Audi R18 TDI, & the Peugeot 908 HDi for DP, because the Audi has 2 variations (The Prototype, & the Team Joest version), and the Peugeot has 3 variations (The 2 versions from GT5, & the Base Model).

That's a good idea! The only problem would be the cars may be under different rules. Didn't the rules change in 2011?

Question being; the Peugeot may be much faster than the Audi initially.

Has anybody thought about this as a possible DP car.

R390 for DP, Furai for P2, DeltaWing for DeltaWing if it gets put back in, GT3 cars for GTD.

Alright guys, now that some of our brothers out east have the game and shared the list... We can now truly discuss with 100% certainty the cars.

I think GT should be GT3 cars now, but other ideas are welcomed.

Prototype is just as big a question as ever. I didn't see a Furai in the video of dealerships, but I may have just missed it. I think going full racecar this season would be pretty cool. So maybe we do either all Audi lmp's (there's 2 versions) or all peugeots (3 versions)

Or we do a little blast from the past with Group C again.

The FXX was a cool idea, but I'm not sure it would be easily fast enough through the corners.

And happy thanksgiving!

We have a big enough list of GT3 cars now anyway, I just hope they RM more cars this time around as well, preferably the Ferrari. I'm loving how they have the BMW Z4 GT3, easily my most favourite of the GT3s. If the FFX gets downforce options, and it's light enough, that'd be a nice option.

I was thinking, if lobbies aren't big enough, split the P and GTLM into one lobby, while the PC and GTD go in another. Just a thought, unless that's lame and we're NOT doing the 4 class format at all.

Yeah, that's a valid point.

Does anyone know GT6 has an option to determine race length by time as well as number of laps?

I sure hope that we can do timed races this time around.

I planned on only having two classes, since we don't have any of the real prototype cars anymore, and half the GTD field is also in the GTLM class (car wise, I know they're different) so I figured instead of making each class have 4 or less just have the 8/8 split again.

I'm almost ready to pray for a 458 RM...

Timed races would make things so much easier for these kind of events, and it'd be ludicrous if they haven't considered it for online, given they have endurance races in GT5 that go by a timed format....

For sure. 40-45 minutes for normal races and 75ish for endurance races.

Would the Pagani Huayra be an idea for DP? I'm not sure exactly what you guys want to do, I like the Audi idea as it gives some free choice.

That's one I hadn't thought of. If we can toss a wing on that and the FXX... That may work...

Not sure who it was, but someone brought up the money issue. We may run into some money issues early on.. Especially when the Prototype class will have really expensive cars. We may need some teamwork to get all the cars even, which is why I suggested the Audi or Peugeot because they both have multiple cars that will be equal.

But the Pagani is definitely a cool idea!

I am saying all Audis or all Peugeots.

I know the two won't be equal right off the bat.

@Furinkazen just informed me that there is no basemodel R18... So maybe the Peugeot may be better.
Never count anything when PD is involved. I bet all the LMP cars are different, and I'd be willing to bet that the GT3 cars aren't equal at all stock

I'm sure they won't. I think the GT3 cars should have some power removed. If we go with an LMP1 car it will have about 500-550 HP.

Abs back to 1?

Well in real life the cars in any given series are going to be somewhat different, I think the 0.2 sec difference we get with some of our cars is pretty damn small compared to the 2+ sec difference between some cars they get in the real Rolex series.

I originally was thinking acquiring the cars would take time due to money but hey, you can purchase in game money now and I think all cars are available straight away minus the no doubt high DLC rate this game will have. The real question is what tracks were going to want to use, alot of the original cool tracks like Apricot hill are making a return.....

Just got off the phone with my mom, she's getting my GT6 Pre Order in right now at GameStop (YUCK!). So I will be getting the anniversary edition. Hopefully the GT3 cars won't take too long to spec, and we can just save up our credits to get the prototypes. (Actually I just got done reading a thread about possible hacks...already... :( ) But once we get some cars in our garages hopefully we can get rolling soon after new year's.

For tracks I think a 8-10 week season is about right, however I do not think biweekly would work with that amount of races. I will not be able to race come mid summer, and I actually may be getting a job after new years. But we won't worry about that now. I think our options are pretty limited in courses, as they only added a handful of tracks we can use this time round.. But here's a solid list (In no order):

Daytona
Indy
Laguna Seca
Willow Springs
Silverstone
Brands Hatch
Apricot Hill
(Another Track)

Since a lot more tracks have weather and time change, should we make some universal settings for the whole season?
