For the drivers in the first lobby please pick one of the 4 start time options

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
so does that mean TTs need to be set to that as well?

You can have what ever time posted for your entry time that your good with, chances are that if your running assets your times will be faster then wo/ assets. It's only there so that you end up in a group that is closer to your speed so the racing is fun and someone doesn't just run off and hide. if someone wanted to sand bag it might be difficult because your best time shows in the leader board. My posted time is wo/ assets, so pick the hill ya die on .... lol

WOW grafpt I just noticed that you won a copy of GT5, CONGRATS..... 👍

Do you get it before anyone else ????

Williams please. Did a very rough 1'32.56x It's a fun track, but I swear the hairpin comes at you too quickly.

Thankzzz Sure, Yah the hairpin just shows up "pop" lol. But I think it has to do w/ the speed that your going, GT5p's version will always be the gold standard and for sure GT5's new one will be the last word.

I would assume that your a wheel jocky w/ that time but please confirm, Thankzzzz

Yup, DFGT and a pair of British feet.

Hi guys
Did my first timetrial on suzuka today. My biggest problem is with manual gears it's difficult to downshift fast enough. As I'm driving without assist I need to be off the brakes before starting the turning. But it eventually came together an I did a 1:30:7xx.
I think there is more to be found but it's going to take some trying.

I did a 1:34:4 in time trial but I had a small off on the 2nd corner so it's not valid. Suzuka is a strange track in my opinion. I have good rythem there but I have paid many a visit to those gravel traps. I love the feeling of just managing flat out on 130r. Its like acomplishing something.

WOW that's crazy fast, good job. I only had about 200 laps using different cars to finally get something that would allow me to finally feel comfortable w/ my time, now I feel uncomfortable again … lol

What car would be the best to run. Would it be the best like mclaren and red bull or something in the middle like force India or Williams.

I read a saying a long time a go when moto-x bikes were just starting to graduate from the 6” travel days heading towards what is the standard of 12”, they asked the question “ what would you rather have the most horsepower on the track or the best handling on the track?” I think it really comes down to what you need to make you go as fast as your style will be able to excel with to stay out of trouble using and the kind of power band that works for your ability to not spin out due to a heavy foot. Sometimes slower is faster….lol

------------------------------------- RACE INFO NEEDED --------------------------------------

Question for hm66: What car team are you requesting to use?

Also I was thinking that everyone might want to try to also request an alternate team incase there is a dispute over what is available. The groups that are showing right now are just for registration and I’m thinking would be more appropriately sorted for “ REGISTRATION LAP TIMES”. I need feed back if you see your self in a group that is showing by the lap times that you might get blown away, that’s never any fun.

I mean because the cars are equal online. Is equal good or mid-field pace?

Edit. Never mind. I'll use my Renault. I have a love for that car. :)

I dont know.Isn't the cars all the same in timetrial?I've only driven the mclaren.Have to check when I get home.

I have no preference.

I have no preference.

I won't put anything down for your fav but I think I would drive 4 or 5 different cars before you don't have a choice, I will try to honor the wishes of someone who works through the cars and request one. You might want to look at the request list to see whats left.

Better fill in the gaps hey :-)
Car - Ferrari
Practise Time - 1:30.626

Just went back and read the first post again. How long will the race be.Is it 100%.If it is i'll have to practice consistency.

I’m still trying to get a grip on the different regions and how the Australian drivers will be able to deal w/ the time zones that work for the UK bunch. I know that when we raced the SHIFT league we started at 20:00 GMT and I’m not sure how well that works for the Australian time. Like I have said “I like a min. of 30 minute races and maybe hour + stuff.” I threw out a hypothetical time of 1:45 per lap, not knowing where that would take the overall race time but that would cover any delays.

I'm really confused now, isn't 20:00 GMT 12:00 PM PST ( GMT -8:00) i'm pretty darn sure. I was just using that as a reference but I really wanted to go at 18:00 GMT but if it looks like we can get done in 3 hrs i'm all good w/ that. I'm really concern w/ the Australian time so I think It all looks good if we can finish by 3PM PST. Your list shows 20:00 as 1pm PST so if we can finish in 2hrs lets rock.

Maybe your list shows the most workable time spread for a world wide competition, at least were all racing on the same day 7am - 10pm .... lol

There may still be a problem w/ the time differential because the Ausies would be drinking coffie and everyone else would be drinking the fun stuff, it may give the land down under a distinct advantage…. lol

WOW your right I guess it’s a little late in the adult beverage time line, so the Ausies may be the tail that wags the dog. I feel like I’m in some kind of time matrix trying to get a grip on the time thing. I know there is a work around for this time thing. It’s probably obvious to all the un inebriated but were close. I just wanted the race to go down before the real race by the big boys, so if some of the racers watched the race they would feel like they were just there.

Here are the times for the real race, maybe you or someone else can figure out how the time thing wil work out so that we are done in time to watch the real race ....... lol

I'd say put it to a vote. You should be able to add a poll to this thread.

I always wanted to do a poll, how do you do it?

I would be open for adjusting my schedule normally but I have another commitment at 24:00 GMT. But you know there will be two different lobbies and the second one will need a host …. He he he, are you maybe volunteering to be the second lobbies host, hummm… lol, you could start at what ever time you wanted to … lol
