Thanks guys, had fun tonight. Too bad I had to leave before I could witness that great finish (from some distance back, I'm sure). It was really fun, and I learned a few things. Hopefully I can compete in these regularly and begin to improve. Being in Div. 5, I can only get better, right?

Registered as reserve, but very iffy this week - back at work, and might have even tighter schedule than normal. Have fun if I don't make it!

We take a lot of pride when our regular online participants lower their handicaps and move up the ranks. If you have any questions on lines or technique definitely ask. And if you find an approach to a corner that is fast feel free to share too!

Anxious to get your feedback after your race tomorrow. Hopefully your inaugural race with us will be an enjoyable one. It's certainly a tricky combo as the title suggests. They won't all be quite this tightly packed.

What a race! 10 laps of bumper to bumper action, running side by side, and trading spots, somehow, I don't know how, finishing with a 3-wide drag race to the finish line!

Finish was crazy.

Jon wins
Mohit +.028
Me: +.091

Weak slipstream. :D

Awesome race and just as close as my races with Shawn and Christophe earlier :D

For visual clarification of the gap :)

It was even closer finishing the 8th lap :D

Looking forward to the races tomorrow ;)

Based on feedback from practice races, I've changed the Slipstream Strength to Weak (Confirmed).

Just registered for a reserve position, we'll have to see how the day goes.

Haven't run this combo at all, but I'll try to get online early to practice, hopefully I won't be in the way if I do make it.

Been a long time since my last race, hope to see you tonight.

Are the races still done around 10:30p central?

Yes, we should be wrapped up by then. 3 sprints tonight, but we should only need to organize grid for the first race, then we'll be doing reverse finishing order.

Combo is pretty easy offline, and Twissy and Vagabond both posted vids of their offline laps in the results thread.

Hi Baron, long time no race ;)
The quali starts at 9PM Central. The race(s) will start around 15-20 past the hour, so it should be done by then.
Hopefully you can make it 👍

The main lounge is open for pre race practice/warmup.

Jon and Al are already present. 👍

Having troubles with connecting. "Incompatibility with the room owner" ... ???

Will join asap.

Works now...

These were some great races!
Congrats on, yet again :sly:, a very dominating win Wes. Also Anastasis and Mohit for the Podiumspots. 👍

Congrats to Wes and Anastasis!

Sorry for the first race guys. Hit the wall, and the car just bounced off like rubber, wiped out the whole field. Who knew such a small car could be used as a weapon of mass destruction?

EDIT: On the plus side, prolly making the NA race :).

Definitely in for NA race. After that final race I felt worn out from the constant focus needed to not make a mistake plus the quick pace we were all running.

That second race when I had the lead, I was running almost constant 1'07.1 laps while Wes was closing the gap. I did all I could to try to keep him behind me but two laps I brushed the wall on two different laps and that changed everything.

Your crash was not so big Mohit. You only took Jon down with you.
In the same lap further up, in the fast chicane, Shawn (Porsche), Bernie (SnowCrash) and Mike (NINEHUNDRED) had a bit of a bounce too.
Watch the livestream vid to see how I tried not to hit anyone going through the cloud. :)
Fast forward to 21min to hop to the race start

Don't see it on your channel yet, but that's lucky then (except for Jon).

Speaking of Jon, we started side by side in 2 of 3 races, combined with our previous race on this track where we ran side by side the whole time. Sorry for that incident, nothing I could do.

Looking forward to the race tonight. Hope I do all the procedures correctly. I know that right now I'll be a back-marker, I'm just looking to be clean and consistent. See you all this evening.

Cool, see you online tonight 👍
Don't worry about the procedures too much, it all gets explained before the race just to be sure nothing is left out for anyone.

The lobby opens at 9 PM eastern (practice until 10) so it is a good idea to get there at least 15-20 minutes before 10 just in case there are any connection issues. Week to week that shouldn't matter, but being a new driver means there could be a connection glitch to work around.

Thanks for the races guys.

I needed some satisfying moments after the disappointment of forgetting to submit my WRS lap. That was the reason why I stayed up for the NA race really.

Oh, Congratulations Shawn. You got to have a bit of luck on your side to win. But you were the most consistent driver nonetheless. Here's to many more.
Oh and very clean driving even though you made up a lot of placements in the races.👍

What a great combo! Sorry for all the bumps and blocks, I tried to be as clean as possible. Congrats GTP_orsche on your first WRS/3D3 win!

Al

Thanks guys. I definitely was lucky tonight. Hopefully this leads to more wins for me. I tried my best to sweep the races, but when everyone at the front is that close, it's impossible to gain anything on the car ahead.

Congrats GTP_orsche on your first WRS/3D3 win!

+1 👍

In keeping with tradition for a first time winner (it's been a while since we had a first time winner):

Now that's taken care of I'll do my best to make sure you don't get a 2nd anytime too soon. See you guys on track next week.
