I watched most of the race on the twitch stream, good job! And speedy just wondering, how come you shift at only 6300 rpm? Is is actually quicker to shift before redline?

Good race, everyone.

I had a particularly good battle with Pekka for the first half of the race. However, I opted for a 1-stop strategy (as did everyone else) while Pekka tried staying out for the entire duration. It didn't work, and I got past with a few laps to go. Tough luck, Pekka.

It seems that I struggled for pace more in this race, that's likely because I did poorly in the TT.

And of course, congratulations to Jon for the win. 👍

I personally tried to shift up at 6500 rpm. The engine delivers peak power at 6100 rpm, and revving too far beyond that causes the engine to lose power.

I felt it was fastest a hair over 6500; peak power was at 6100 with falloff (edit: Tree'd, apparently).

Enjoyed that race a lot; only hit the pitwall once :scared: Had only a few minutes to slap on Pekka's tune, run a few laps, then quali, also while getting breakfast for mini-me. Thanks for being patient guys, it was a great help.

Once in the race, made sure I closed down the inside line for turn one (knowing that Speedy is nefarious!), had a near-tank-slapper pitwall touch in lap 3, then tried to build some focus. Settled in to manage tires behind Matthew and Pekka duking it out, as there was no realistic way I could pass both of them without an advantage. Squeaked past Matthew just before pitting next lap (lap 22, I think), was ahead when he came out a lap later, and waited for the no-stop madman's tires to go off :sly:

Enjoy the NA race, guys! Hope I'll be able to watch.

We have only 3 in the lounge so far, with Mohit coming makes 4. Need 2 more to show please.

I just got in guys, and I'll make the NA race. Just give me a few minutes if I'm not there right away.

Nice racing again guys! That is a lot of battling we did today Jon, pretty amazing stuff :D.

Nice job Pekka on the podium.

Thanks to everyone for coming out!

As mentioned before , the power peak is at 6100 rpm .
When the gears were set very close it was important to short shift (before redline) to get the most out of the powerband.

EU race report put short: No stop , battle with matthew 👍 , few mandatory lead laps and overtaken by a few one stoppers. [/report]

Pekka

That was a great combo! 👍 to Sjaak for coming up with that one :D
I had a great race with Joe for about 4 laps (then never saw him again) but picked up with Al and that race lasted almost 30 laps with only a few laps running solo due to my time loss just before the pitstop when I let Jon and Mohit go by (rather than block them for a whole lap I pulled wide in turn 1 to give them room as both were exiting the pit but I went off :dunce: - quite a bit too )

Congrats to Mohit, Jon and Pekka
Nice job catching back up Pekka 👍 That pit spin / entry almost got you ;)

I hope all the racers enjoyed the race as much as I did.:)

Congrats to Jon with a great win,you where flying ,Mohit and Ren with the podiums.
Respect for Pekka and the no-stopper.

My part was little ,lost lots of time in the first 10 laps.
After the first pit Speedy showed up in front of me and had a few good laps together...... till I hit a bit of grass and lost it in grace, result>>>a big white cloud of burned rubber.:dopey:

Here is a pic of the first corner after the start,I believe everybody survived it...I race with you guys anytime 👍

It was a team effort ;)
Speedy, Pekka and Myself.
The dream team forgot about the combined results though :dunce:

I had a great time with this combo, Battles with Mike in the E/U race and Marc in the N/A race. It is awesome to finally be in some traffic, I only hope I can keep improving! I have not had a chance to capture any photos due to the busy holiday season, I hope the Admins will not archive this thread until I have had a chance to do so! Hint, hint!!!

It took me a couple of weeks to get some time to capture some moments of this event which I hope we revisit in the future! Hope you enjoy them...
