So whats the low down on these new cars. Do they break in and increase HP? Does the oil change increase HP?

Oil change does increase HP, but I don't think it's allowed for this event.

Edit: I guess it is since HP is 446, and mine is only at 425 currently.

@oink83 Were you going for M4 Coop or M4 Coup?

Nice practice with a bunch of people, with a few practice races. Got down to a 1'28.9 :).

I just tried it and oil change adds the HP you're short Shawn. I've been running stock oil so far as well.
Let's see what this bit of extra power has to offer.

I just did the oil change as well.

Didn't mean to leave so suddenly, but my internet decided it was time to go.

I try my best. Did you find The Stig yet?

Edit: Also I am down as maybe, got a bunch of stuff to catch up on from being away this weekend, but I hope to make it to both.

Yes, standing in the middle of the bridge in the first picture. :D

I will be hosting the Wed EU race, so please be sure to send me a Friend Request (GTP_Allibubba99) ASAP. That is if you are not on my Friend list already! :gtpflag:

Good practise last night, got my time down to 1'30.8. Already had the oil changed on my ride, I knew it was allowed as the OP stated 517pp and stock the car is 510pp. Will be doing another practise tonight....

Just did my own bit of practice as part of my training for what will hopefully be my maiden race in the GTP-WRS, down to a 1:30.8 as well.

God, I've missed you Apricot Hill Raceway. M4 is a good car too.

Can you show up to practice this evening? We have been racing only with the guys who ran with us in GT5, but your enthusiasm can't be denied. 👍

You'll need to send friend requests to whoever is hosting practice and the race.

It's a sure thing Grav!

Normally we have an official practice session the day before the race, that's Tuesday.
But we had practice yesterday and probably will practice again this evening as well.
When someone opens a lobby for practice they will post in here.
Welcome!

Spent some time on this last night and after a ton of laps around mid 1:30s finally got it together for a 1.29.898. Not sure how that relates to the online times, I'm usually about 3-5% slower than the fast guys. Have to admit though that the tire screech started to drive me nuts after a while, had to turn the volume down somewhat.

Bart (PASM) was running high 28s, while the rest of us were in the high 29 to low 31 range.

I feel the same way now and then. FF cars are the worst IMO.

The tire noise is excessive, but its really helping me find the limit of the car and letting me know when I am exceeding it. Learning how to use it can definitely make you a better and faster driver.

Just ran a full stint practice (18 laps).
Tire wear:
7 6
8 7

Fuel:
72 litres @ 4 L/lap

Turn 1 offs:
2 goddamn times.

Definitely a one-stopper. It's great to see that PD have updated the fuel pumps, so now you can take it a lot more that 15 litres "for free" every stop. Haven't tested how much exactly, but there's no point knowing it for this race.

Sorry guys, I will not be practising today. Did already a two hour practise, where Paul (Hasselm.) joined me, could only equalize my best laptime, but i was quite consitant.... I will have some more practise tomorrow afternoon....

Going to join you in practise, not 100% sure if i'll run or not tomorrow. Been a bit unlucky with steering wheels recently, had one break and now my DFGT has started riding the throttle without me touching it sometimes. So i'll see how bad it is tonight :)

Practice lobby is open. I am hosting. (GTP_Allibubba99)

Al

If you add someone to your friends list after creating the room, you'll have to create a new one to let them in.

If you've been driving the M4, it does that. I've noticed it too. If it's happening under hard braking, then it's your throttle pedal that's the problem.

That is unfortunate. I can't close the room, there are racers in here already.

Oh its definitely my pedal, its been doing it with loads of cars, and under heavy breaking. Don't know what to do really as it is risky in a race situation :(

My 5-year old DFGT has needed the pedals cleaned twice. There's about 10 screws on the bottom that you can remove, then get all the dust/dirt out of there. Also spray some DW-40 on the actuators. It's cured my similar stuck-throttle problems.

THANK YOU!! I'll give it a try!

As for the lobby, never mind, its a lot of fuss :)

...'parrently, it's telling me the room's full.
Sigh, you're the third one experiencing that. Creating a new room should solve it.
Al, if you want to (if you can), just create an open lobby. It brings less trouble with it.
I'm on my way to fire up my PS3 and join the lobby.
