GTP WTAC Week 99: N1 touring car AWD vs FF

Did some laps with the Integra and managed an 1'27.7xx stock.

For the Mazda6, I used the Touring Car/FF settings, since the car doesn't have much downforce. I tried using the DTM setup, which was the default setting for the car, but all I got was a very stiff ride and lots of understeer.

This is gonna be a tough week, both cars react unpredictably in this track.

Already have 1'27.xxx times with both cars, though it's gonna be quite the stretch to break into 26.

Just to be sure, you do know we're playing GT PSP, right ? Because I see you have a GTP_ tag + Div 1 Bronze| DS3 | PAL, and sometimes people get confused... My apologies if you're not mistaken and good luck if you're in

Gave Mazda 10 laps, came up with a 1:28.5xx. 27 should be easily achievable with some more laps, but not sure if I'm gonna break into 26. Gonna try the Honda later this day.

I have managed 27.7 for mazda and 27.9 for the honda, they both have to be improved but I pretty much think 26 is impossible for me

Haven't done new laps in the past few days, and still have high 27's with both cars, gonna try and reach the low 27's if breaking into the 26 can't be done. I get the feeling we're gonna have another close battle here 👍

i don't know if i will be able to participate in this week... haven't got much time and raced only for about 20 mins. I don't even have serious tries even for one car (in those 20 mins i was able to manage mid 30's with stock setting) i think if i had more time i could have similar times as detroitbb have. Now im planning to go to sleep, wake up about 1-2 PM and then give it at least a little try before i go to work and post my final times. But i promise you that in next week i'll be holding that PSP as often as i can

Apricot Hill was a nice track, but somehow, both cars were unpredictable driving around it, I'm not even sure if I could've extracted more out of these two machines. I'm quite bothered my times, to be honest, cause I can't decide if this is enough for me or not. Anyway...

Mazda6 Touring Car ~ 1'27.457

Now this car was a true pain to set up, it's a different kind of 4WD that's so rigid that setting the suspension to complement it would result in major understeer. In the end, I had to resort to a soft setup.

Honda INTEGRA Type-R Touring Car ~ 1'27.659

I had my work cut out for with the Honda, my only complaint, the gear ratios are too short, so I really had to adjust to shifting or not shifting when I drove this one. Undeniably, this one had better cornering response than the 4WD.

Overall Combined Time: 2'55.116

Finally, I made my times under 1'30 with both cars...I made a record of 1'29.512 using Mazda, but unfortunately, I got out of the track on a corner. Thus, My INTEGRA is faster than Mazda6....However, Integra's short gear feels more comfortable indeed.

Sorry for not submitting earlier, I was so tired to do so.
I ran about 25 laps with the Mazda and 15 with the Honda, I would be able to cut about half a second from each with the double laps. Well done Antares, well deserved!

Congratulations to Anatares26 and easyasashii for their podium finishes (1st and 2nd, respectfully)! Great job, guys!

In the overall standings, we see a bit of movement - vaughan moves up to take 3rd place over from zipiol. Moving up into 6th place overall was easyasashii. We now have four competitors within three points of one another (vaughan, zipiol, Awaren, and easyasashii). This will make for an exciting few weeks as we close in on the end of this current racing session!
