When is it possible to register again? I thought I was registered since I participated last year.

According to EDK's message, you should expect the qualifier to be opened since this week...I am waiting for the qualifier as well to be re-opened

Hi, Im new to WRS, and have a simple question. Ive checked all the relevant threads and couldn't find the answer. Does my GTP_account on the PSN need to be the same name as my GTPlanet website account.

Ive made a new PSN account following the instructions, but its not "GTP_barny0111". Does that matter?

Thanks.

Edit: Thanks for the info Munch, much appreciated. Now I'm off to practice.

No problem :) I'm munch2112 on here.... And GTP_Munch.

Infact, I think most peoples are different....

WRS Staff,

When will WRS events start counting towards to promotions? I am asking because currently I have noticed at a lot of my division drivers including myself are performing above and beyond our current division placings. I am just curious is all, I know WRS for GT5 is new for all of us and you guys are still working out the tweeks with all the new updates we keep receiving. Thanks in advance and please keep up the great work for our community. 👍

Well given there are no official results yet, I'd say it could be a few weeks

Probably longer as there is no way to ascertain yet whether people who've performed well above their decision aren't using tuned cars, SRF etc, whether by accident or not.

I understand that since we don't have any solid final results due to some members not submitting they're replays in on time. It's sad that some people would think of cheating in WRS just to get into a higher division. My motivation to get placed into a higher division is because in GT5P I was in Div.3 Silver. It's my own fault for not spending more attention to the qualifier since I was competing in GT Academy and that was the choice I made. I love WRS, don't get me wrong. Competing against different drivers worldwide is really something amazing that this community has created and kept going for a long time. Hopefully soon, we'll be able to find a way to figure out who is using tuned cars, SRF's, etc.

I see you're point, I was delighted to qualify above my GT5p division but had I not, I'd be keen to be promoted. Remember that there is technically a one week deadline for providing a replay, otherwise you will be DQ'd. I'm sure this will be coming in to force soon as people settle in.

I agree that it is sad to think of people cheating to win WRS, during my time in the GT5p WRS, it was a pretty close knit community and it would be difficult to see anyone doing this but with such a large influx of new members, there is always the chance that one or two bad apples might slip through.

I'm sure the mods have it all in hand and I'm sure I read somewhere they would look at promotions on a roughly monthly basis so hopefully your wait won't be too long 👍

I miss those days, even though I only was in a few events, having that one week deadline was nice. Because it separated those who worked hard to improve their driving and those who just run WRS for fun.

@EDK

Any chance we can see the Evora and London again ;)

It's the same qualifier and the Registry Administration will be taking submissions soon, maybe a week or two.

All of you waiting for the Registry to open can still participate behind the scenes.

Some of you may be doing this already and it is a great way to see where you stand even without a division ranking.
I don't recommend posting actual splits as the leaderboard may not pick up the times but go ahead and try the combos and ask questions if you need to.

I qualified and as yet haven't been able to take part in the two events that have come and gone, or the remaining open events.

Does this mean I am cast out to purgatory? I'd quite like to/have time to/want to run the 2 open ones, can I still do that?

I was wondering if there will ever be any off road rally competition for the WRS? I have seen references to different drive trains and types of tracks but there wasn’t any mention of the off road rally stuff like the Eiger Nordwand.

I'd say there will be lefty. They had them in the GT4 WRS(I think) every now and then. Take a look through the archives and you should find some.👍

Hay Ak, so are you in the Registry? I don’t recall seeing any times from you but maybe I missed um, but any way I sure hope that we can get some off road stuff so I can apply my more hung out WFO skills compared to the restrained tarmac tracking that we are applying these days. My fondness for the interior cam is really surprising me these days. My fastest times are coming from that view this week and I think that option really makes the game great.

I see that the qualifier is open again. I sent my times by PM to Vaxen in early February shortly after the qualifier had closed. I was going on holidays and he had said it would be OK to do so in case the qualifier reopened while I was away. I have never received a PM confirming receipt of said times. This leads me to a couple questions:

1. Should I resubmit my times or have they been received already?
2. When can I expect to hear about my placement in the registry?

The qualifier is handled manually, and I don't send acknowledgment PMs.

Your particular submission has been received, and your placing will be included in the next batch.

Expect the next batch to be posted within 14 days (probably sooner).

So for our Race Mod's, do youz all think there'd be an off road event for the WRS anytime in the near future?

Flick thru the threads in this end of the GTP forum until you stuble upon this and read the nice & comprehensive guide that long-term member and friend Nigel has written for newbies like yourself. Be welcome, read it and enjoy racing with us 👍

Hooray! Also first post, so hello to all! Been waiting for the registry to re-open as it was not long closed when I discovered GTP and the WRS.

Now to actually work on my SLS S2 & 3 times :P I've been doing the WRS events as they've come, and my teems seem within a couple of the divisions so I'm looking forward to taking part and competing!

 Rally is in our future. I would say by sometime within the first 10 weeks of competition. ;)

Start by using proper words, capitals and punctuation when you post.

Please review our AUP, particularly the following section -

AUP
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.
