All right, I submitted my time and got placed in Div 4, gold. I'm much looking forward to do some racing with you. :) Thank you Sphinx for processing my time so swiftly!

Still I have a question about these divisions (I did try to search but even though I know the answer must be somewhere in this forum I can't find it :banghead:). What is the purpose of these divisions? I know the WRS results are displayed by divisions, but why is that exactly? And what does this gold thing mean? What is division 4 and why am I in it? Feeling a bit lost now. :dunce: Thanks to anyone who can answer some of these questions.

Its mainly for the WRS as theres 5 winner every week, 1 for each division and i think in the future there is going to be online races were you race the people in your divisions so it will be a fair race.
 
Welcome to Div 4 .Once you have your GTP PSN go to the Div 4 thread and I'll add you to the list.
 
Hey everybody, recently ive been wanting to register and record a lap time to do so. To my disappointment ive come to realize you guys make this look damn easy and I am apparently far behind you guys in skill level. I know you have divisions to even out the skill levels, but I was curious to know if it is possible to advance through the divisions with improvements that come with experience which i hope to achieve lol. Like I said im pretty disappointed with my lap time so ill try and squeeze some more time outta my lap. Sorry if its stated somewhere already but all i really wanted to know was if i could progress through divisions over time seeing as i cant register a lap time im happy with.

Yes, I believe the plan is to allow promotion through official GTP events when private rooms are finally implemented. Or at least thats what I remember Sphinx saying.
 
Oh ok, thanks for the info. Was just really disappointed with my lap times and didn't want to be stuck in a lower division for all future events. Assuming I actually can improve. Thanks though, back to chipping away at my lap time, or trying.

You can get promoted, so no worries about being stuck in a division. 👍

Unless you're stuck in a division with Hyperuk, who routinely cleans your clock!

If only there were a way to get him booted up to Division 1! :mischievous::mischievous::mischievous:

Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being stuck in the last division.

The point is to have fun and it is more fun to have a close race than one where you suffer in the back.

Indeed, and its not like you'll never be able to race against the Divsion 1 drivers, but I wouldn't be so sure you'd want to :lol:
