My car had the same stats as Chris' after I did all the mods (and re-checked them twice) - 94hp, 647kg, 392PP. I thought that 8PP was going to be a big gain for break in, but I will have to wait and see. I haven't driven it enough to need the follow up oil change yet.

That sounds right, TBH. I did drive my car all the way to break in last night before posting the event up. I was pleasantly surpised to see the PP come in at exactly 400, I was thinking I might have to remove the wing to keep it from being over 400 PP.

Thanks Kev, I wasnt going to say anything until I had a confirmed max PP for my car, but it sounds like I'm all good. Just have to drive faster now.

I like this car way more than I expected. Its kinda like a kart with gears. :sly:

Rechecked.
647 kg, , 72kw, 395pp, Wing installed, front spoiler as well, full deployed, 370km now.
Oilchange does not improve pp.
Ok, doesn´t matter. 395 or 400 should not make a big deal.

New last lap time.

Not sure what I might have been smoking, but it is indeed 395 PP.

Here's the transmission I was using.

Hi everyone, submitted my registration last week, and waiting for confirmation. While I wait, thought I would give this a go. Hitting 1'32.xxx on last lap. Trying different lineups to see which are most favorable, where you can pass without slowing down too much. Any way, looking forward to the competition. I have completed 2 accounts, and thought it was time to start competing with real people. I do have one question about this week, can you sideswipe a car as long as you are on track or do not bump a wall?

  • No contact with walls or other objects. Any contact with walls, no matter how minor, will result in a DQ.
  • All Surfaces Are Track
  • AI Contact - 1 Incident in which AI initiates contact is allowed. Review is based on steering input. If car is turned in toward AI car, contact is illegal.

No. There is an allowance for the AI turning in to you (once only), but I'd be really, really chary of that. Sideswiping would be a straight no.

Was wondering if an Admin could post a link to this thread from the leaderboard. I had a little trouble getting in here this week.
Thanks :)

Sorry, not sure what you're looking for.

If you are referring to the thread link that normally shows on the board, I think the length of the event description blocks that out.

But you should be able to go right in from the forums.

This was last weeks. Just a habit to use that link, I'll manage. Just thought it was an oversight.

No, I think it's the structure of the board, and the amount of text I have in the post above that.

The Fetchbot actually automatically parses those details from the thread and puts them in the board.

Good to see you Matt.

I had Bob put some miles on the car tonight while the wife and I caught up on some Sherlock episodes. Good stuff.

I'll be working on this in the next day or two.

I'm going to buy the car and run it in whilst doing laps in practice i think.
I've never driven the car and i haven't had alot of time running here in reverse.
I think it might be the best way for me to get the lines halfway right before i throw AI into the mix.
Just my 2 cents!
Cheers!

Here's my first split.

1:31.552

Found an AI lineup that was pretty reasonable to navigate, only got slowed down at the kink just a tad on one lap, managed zero contact. The contact allowance is there so that a great run doesn't get ruined by Bob turning into the side of your car inexplicably while you are side by side.

I looked at Chris' setup to guide mine.

I'm using

Max Aero

RH -20/-20
Springs 9/10
Dampers 1's around
ARB 5/5
Camber 2.0/1.0
Toe 0.0/-0.20

LSD 5/15/10

Brakes, they are still on 0/0 from when I let Bob do some running at Indy last night, forgot to change them back. Not sure why the car even stops. :lol:

Link is there but its a bit hidden since the description is a bit large, it might not show up in some browsers but it does in chrome, if your familiar with css you can use (stylebot) a plug in and create more space so that its not hidden. I was able to show it by using a bit of css

#week_data_combo {
padding-bottom: 20px;
}
#week_data_track img, #week_data_car img{
padding-bottom: 20px;
background: black;
}

That makes it look like this

Instead of like this

I must say it took me a long time to get a submittable time. Crazy close with a couple of cars! Green surfaces are considered track this week right? It also says run off areas are not track in the OP. Just want to be sure is all! Time Trial #66 in a row and counting!!!!

How I love Rome! :D
Great suitable car here. Didn't expect it.

At 393PP now.

Great tune Chris! 👍

PS; Kevin, I'll fix that 'Save Replay' pic from the OP somewhere today.

I changed the information on the board so that the link shows up correctly. Only removed ": 5 laps:" from the name which I thought wasn't necessary to include.

Didn't mean to be a pain. Thank you very much ! :cheers:

Right. The race specifics always override anything contrary in the "Standard, Clean OLR Rules".

The race specifics say "All Surfaces are Track". So all surfaces are track. Those are updated and changed to be made specific for each event.

The Standard, Clean OLR Rules never change, which means they are sometimes reinforced by race specifics, but at other times contradicted to some extent by race specifics.

I seem to only have 87 HP, the car is new but do I get 10 HP with Break in?

Did you do the stage 1 engine upgrade?

Just need to find the perfect AI-lineup.

Great fun,I will never do good in multilap weeks but that will be compensated with a good amount of entertainment.

Used both Chris and Kevin's tune,both work for me but ended up for now with Kevin's.

Oh and changed again the looks of the car,always an added part of the fun for me.
In the end of the week the car must be 10 kg heavier by all the extra weight sprayed on it.:scared:

Just need to find the perfect AI-lineup.

I got a good rythm but had to go out for an oil change.
Came back and the AI line-up was just aweful compared to what I had the first time. There were always two cars driving together blocking the kink on the first lap. :yuck:
So that was the start of exit, load, drive and see how they did on the spots where you need to overtake them.
