Are you using the right tyres?

Where's this team v tune guys? I would like to try it out? is it hidden away somewhere? or do you have to be a member of some secret group to see this tune? haha only messing
i just wanna nosey at the gears dub dub dib dib
If not no worries forget you ever saw this post! it will self destruct 20 seconds after you have read it
Good one Matt 👍 I honestly don't know how anyone can still drive with a controller at all... considering I played all the way up to GT4 with one, I now can't even manage a half decent lap with one. Got to hand it to the faster DS3 boys, its a different kind of skill.
Ok here's my current fastest 1st sector:
And my current setup:
Edit - New splits:
24.056
21.430
Lost a thousandth in sector 1 and then got it back in sector 2 Better last sector and up 0.074 on the lap.
I'm behind by about 4hp but I am using the correct tires. (Racing Mediums)
Are you using Chris's tune?
And since you've done those splits with a DS3, I guess it is possible to go faster.
Like I told you before, have "Bob" break in your car and you won't have to worry about that aspect of things. It only takes a few hours, if that, running 100 laps in the Indy 500 B-Spec Endurance race. That can be done while you do something else. Having a broken-in car should never be a problem. I do mine right when I find out what car is being used for the week (sometimes I even do two) and its never been a problem for me. You could even do it while you sleep, you don't have to stop it at 100 laps, just let it go overnight. Don't mean to sound harsh Andrew, but that should never be an excuse.
First of all, My GTP Account doesn't have any bobs so I can't just do the Indy race in an instant. Second, I can't just leave the PS3 on for hours with out anyone playing it, I can get in trouble for that.

@Andrew - 5 less bhp equates to around 2 or 3 tenths difference per lap from what I can tell so that isn't the issue anyway. I have no idea how good my setup is with a DS3 so that might be a problem..? Viper seems to have good pace so asking him what setup he has is a good place to start possibly... Other than that.. have you had a look at my first sector vid yet? Sector 2 has 2 key points - fast exit from the 90degree right hander and maximum speed and bravery through the kink. That's it really.
@Mitch - I'm sorry mate but that was a pretty heavy handed response to a reasonable request. I know Andrew is only 16 but that's no reason to treat him like an idiot and he certainly doesn't come across as a spoiled brat to me. Go easy, we're all here for the same reason.

You can always ask for someone to send you one, or if your non-GTP_ account has the car, broken in, you can either send it to the GTP_ account or set it to share and use it that way on your GTP_ account.[/QUOTE]
That was exactly my advice to him in my previous response to him. I did forget about advising him to ask somebody for the car tho, but I would have been more than happy to send him one, fully broken in. I just didn't happen to think about that route at the time I posted. Thanks for bringing that up.👍 Next time the issue pops up, I'll just send a broken-in car to whoever may need one. I don't mind breaking in a car for someone. So, next time someone needs a car broken-in, just ask.👍

I looked at your sector video (I always do ) and at first I pretty much knew what I was doing there. I get consistent 24.2s and .1s there now but I can't seem to hold on to it in T2. Though it wouldn't hurt and it might help me to see the video again.
Thanks guys. That made my day. I just get scared to ask because then I would think that I'm making you guys do all the work.
GTP_CargoRatIts no problem Andrew, all you have to do is ask. Like Chris said, thats what we're all here for.
As for my comments before, I guess that I forget that you are only 16, living with parents, and have to follow certain rules of the household. I really see no harm tho in letting the PS3 go for 1 1/2 hour or less just to break in a car, but I guess I just forget that youngsters have rules to follow. Anyway, it is what it is I guess. Whenever you need a car tho, just ask. Myself, or others, will be happy to help you out.
Hey everyone, been away for a little while. Had some health issues in March and April, but doing good now, and excited about getting back into racing here! Looks like I have some catching up to do. (way to go guys!)
Here are my splits. (running team "v")
24.343
21.589
Damn Andrew, you think you're having problems, Imma bout ready to pull my hair out on this one. Been up on my ghost far enough to give Frank a run for his money, only to loose it all in that last turn to the line. That part of the track has always given me fits. If I ever nail it, Frank is gonna be in trouble.
Hey Joe, good to see you back 👍
Absolutely love this combo, one of my all time favourites, and the car will get a 'star' aswell. It fits me like a glove.... Will not be returning to this tt for a few days, so Mitch it's all yours
I would be able to improve but it is gonna be very hard, and I do not want to overdo it either, so far I ran more then 1500km on this track in this car (+/- 500 laps) but it is so addictive, once I get in my seat I start lapping and before I know it I have to get back to do an oil change
You are truely the class of the D3 field this week Frank. Congrats on the spectacular lap. Well done. Like I said, with all the time I'm leaving out there, if I could just string it together, I could give you a good run but its gonna be hard. Those very last few curves are really giving me fits so I don't know. I'm going to give it my best shot as always, we'll see what happens.
