Good one Matt 👍 I honestly don't know how anyone can still drive with a controller at all... considering I played all the way up to GT4 with one, I now can't even manage a half decent lap with one. Got to hand it to the faster DS3 boys, its a different kind of skill.

Hey everyone, been away for a little while. Had some health issues in March and April, but doing good now, and excited about getting back into racing here! Looks like I have some catching up to do. (way to go guys!)

Like I told you before, have "Bob" break in your car and you won't have to worry about that aspect of things. It only takes a few hours, if that, running 100 laps in the Indy 500 B-Spec Endurance race. That can be done while you do something else. Having a broken-in car should never be a problem. I do mine right when I find out what car is being used for the week (sometimes I even do two) and its never been a problem for me. You could even do it while you sleep, you don't have to stop it at 100 laps, just let it go overnight. Don't mean to sound harsh Andrew, but that should never be an excuse.

Ok, first of all Andrew, I'm just trying to help you, no need to come at me with an attitude.

Second, it only takes like an 1 1/2 hours roughly to run 100 laps at Indy. You should be able to create "bobs" on your GTP account as its supposed to be leveled up to around 20 or so when you created it. At least thats what I was told when I joined. Also, you could always break-in the car on your main and either send it to yourself or just put it on share and borrow it. Like I said, there is really no excuse to not have a broken in car, or at least it should be no reason as to why you are not doing well in the event. Not trying to be mean here Andrew, but when I see someone complaining because they are not doing well in an event and one of the reasons why is because their car isn't broken in, I just find that thats no reason to be complaining.

Also, like I said before, try your wheel. You might surprise yourself at how well you can do with it. If you have aspirations of being a finalist in the Academy, you might as well get used to using it anyway. The sooner the better. Why wait till the last minute. I realise you're only 16, but the longer you use the wheel, the better.

Again Andrew, just trying to help you out here but sometimes I just have to be blunt with my point. As in, "Stop your damn whinning, break in your car, and go get P1" And that of course is meant to be a light-hearted statement.👍

@Andrew - 5 less bhp equates to around 2 or 3 tenths difference per lap from what I can tell so that isn't the issue anyway. I have no idea how good my setup is with a DS3 so that might be a problem..? Viper seems to have good pace so asking him what setup he has is a good place to start possibly... Other than that.. have you had a look at my first sector vid yet? Sector 2 has 2 key points - fast exit from the 90degree right hander and maximum speed and bravery through the kink. That's it really.

@Mitch - I'm sorry mate but that was a pretty heavy handed response to a reasonable request. I know Andrew is only 16 but that's no reason to treat him like an idiot and he certainly doesn't come across as a spoiled brat to me. Go easy, we're all here for the same reason.

Ok, with all due respect to you, please tell me where I treated him like an idiot or said/incinuated that he was a spoiled brat. I did not. Even tho my response may have been a bit harsh, and I even admitted to that, I did not intend no ill will. I make no appologies to how I responded to him as I did not see that I did anything wrong, I even offered a few smilies to show a light-hearted post. Even tho he is only 16, I see no reason to handle him with kid gloves. I treat him the same as I would anyone else. Even tho I am not among the elite such as yourself, I have tried to help him in ways that I can, offering him advice based on passed experiences.

You can always ask for someone to send you one, or if your non-GTP_ account has the car, broken in, you can either send it to the GTP_ account or set it to share and use it that way on your GTP_ account.

That was exactly my advice to him in my previous response to him. I did forget about advising him to ask somebody for the car tho, but I would have been more than happy to send him one, fully broken in. I just didn't happen to think about that route at the time I posted. Thanks for bringing that up.👍 Next time the issue pops up, I'll just send a broken-in car to whoever may need one. I looked at your sector video (I always do ) and at first I pretty much knew what I was doing there. I get consistent 24.2s and .1s there now but I can't seem to hold on to it in T2. Though it wouldn't hurt and it might help me to see the video again.

Me too! I will sometimes break in or use one already broken in on my main account and share it so I can borrow it from my GTP account and sometimes I just dupe it between accounts. Happy to do it for another WRSer if necessary.

Absolutely love this combo, one of my all time favourites, and the car will get a 'star' aswell. It fits me like a glove.... Will not be returning to this tt for a few days, so Mitch it's all yours

I would be able to improve but it is gonna be very hard, and I do not want to overdo it either, so far I ran more then 1500km on this track in this car (+/- 500 laps) but it is so addictive, once I get in my seat I start lapping and before I know it I have to get back to do an oil change

Still want to improve, I have seen multiple first sectors under 24.000, so there is at least a thenth there and ive lost 0.150 in the last sector....

About the last sector, it is not that hard and U can actually do it in one move... just fly through that section, and act as if no walls are there
