New splits, slightly slower but faster over the line.
Submitting with these.

T1: 27.991
T2: 34.068

Well I did give it another go and look how much time I found in T2...

27.852
33.425

T3 is a bit better though so it's 5/100 faster than my previous best across the line.

Very nice T2, that 5/100ths should rank you above me easy even without it :)

I find the maths behind it quite amazing, that with all the different styles and permutations of splits that people can be close or on the same splits. Red and Chris was the classic example, exact same split on T1 earlier on. It would be interesting to see both those T1's overlay-ed with the others ghost to see even within T1, where Red and Chris had differences in their 'sub' T1 splits.

Edit: Are you kidding me, just noticed after I wrote the above that you've gone from 1/1000ths behind to exactly the same split. Even enforces the point more :boggled:

Actually what is the WRS ruling if two people have the exact same lap time? Does it go by fasted split, or who submitted the split first perhaps? Or perhaps the earliest replay date? Surely we can't have the same lap , or could we :sly:

Didn't think I'd be disappointed to go .7 quicker but T1 was no where near my quickest. Oh well, it'll do. Submitted this lap.

T1: 28.739
T2: 34.204

If two people have the exact same lap time, then it results in a tie! ;)

This happened on week 1, where there was a tie for 4th place overall.

New splits.
T1: 27.758
T2: 33.458

Sweet time that Chuk lad... very sweet. You really are the epitomy of the spirit of the WRS and a great example of how time and dedication pay off. Nice one mate. 👍

I had a last blast and managed a small improvement in T2:

T1: 27.455
T2: 33.493

I think I'm done.... in the situation now where I can still see faster sectors but can't tie them up and start to make stupid mistakes out of frustration. I'm well happy with this week's progress though and very satisfied with my final lap. Submitted with these splits.

Best of luck to anyone still running... well to everyone taking part. Its been another blast of a week. Cheers guys. :)

Thank you, Chris! Those are kind words, indeed. :)

And Carlos, I was surprised myself when I saw where I was. I triple checked the numbers, though. Whether it is sheer dumb luck or persistence, it's definitely one of my best runs! It must have been the mooing!!! :D

Look out for the tractor :sly:

I saw in another thread that Vaxen and the rest of the Admin are working on promotions this week. If anyone deserves one it's you buddy. Your performance this week and in the NASCAR was spectacular. Just hope that the Madrid and Toscana rally events haven't hurt your handicap too much...

Millross is the other driver from D3 that I'm tipping for a promotion. So consistently fast, week in and week out, and so difficult to beat God damn it!!!! And to top it all off, he's using a DS3

You mean you don't carry your latest lap time around on a scrap of paper, with various other weeks' timings, like me? :dunce: My scrap is almost full, of horrible chicken-scratch thousandth-precision midpack timings. :)

Submitted with splits on board.

See you at Nürburgring. :mischievous:

First Lyvan, and now you stole my first 10th place (nice time BTW 👍)
It's a conspiracy I tell you (just like aliens, but the proof is in the top ten) :dopey:

Seriously nice work Chuck and all, can see that a 21.3xx was possible but 20.5xx by those two up the top. WOW a full second off that, would be curious what kind of T3's you guys were getting. Best I could muster was a 20.19x. Actually scrap that, assuming everyone's splits are their submitted laps I can calculate it myself :)

Still quite happy with this result as it was my most difficult challenge yet.
On to the ring, keep 'em coming Kev

I heard Chuk mooing furiously earlier over by the gate, so I think he's waiting for the tractor Sid :sly:

This week has been my biggest gap to the front of recent weeks, which I suppose is no surprise for such a delicate car and technical track. I'm very happy with second in D3 and to beat Millross (sorry buddy :) ) as he's been my nemesis of late. I'm especially pleased as I was nowhere in D3 prior to my session last night (at the expense of time at the 'Ring') and my previous best would have had me about 8 or 9 places lower down the leaderboard.

Need. More. Practice. Need. More. Practice...

I missed submitting for the 2nd week in 3....*sigh* Only by 6 minutes this time :P

From now on, I think it'll be the last thing I do on Sundays..

Noooooooooo! :)
Your 1'21.424 is less than that ahead of me (.466)! You remain undefeated (officially and unofficially) for now, congratulations. :D

Sid, I'm sorry I took your top ten. I mean this in the most insincere way!!

Seriously, I've been looking hard at the final sectors for a while now since I always lose ground there. This week is the perfect example, where I was seventh at t2 but tenth overall. In the NASCAR event I was tenth at the final split, yet finished eleventh. Anghammarad passed me from a tenth behind to a .5xx lead at the line! :(
[👍 to you, Anghammarad! Sincerely.]

This week, Anghammarad has a t3 of 19.197, while I have a 19.373. So yes, you are losing mad time there. It's something we both have to work on, for sure.

On to Germany! :gtpflag:

20.197 and 20.393 respectively??

Mine was a 20.459 so I'm way off!

I have a feeling this is a record that won't stand for very much longer though. 👍

I was feeling confident in T3 all week. You really didn't need to brake at all in that section and pretty much 90% of it could be done with full throttle. I calculate my T3 to be 20.147 and yours 20.373. Please note that even so, my final sector is as much slower than Zoky's than yours is relative to mine and I am clueless how that is done.

My apologies. I just started typing without thinking. But still, I've been watching the end of your races through the results vs posted times. You are a powerhouse in the final sectors! Are you sure you're not drafting my ghost? :sly:

Thanks but that's not really true. I lose time in the final sector as often as I gain some.
