Just took a quick run at this, now that I have my blisters bandaged up  and I can see that this is going to be very addictive. 👍 I have a love/hate relationship with this track and I honestly don't think I have ever driven this car before, certainly not in its stock form, but this is going to be good fun. 👍 You continue to amaze me EDK with your combos each week.

Is no-one else having a blast yet?

Just us few loonies. :P Seeing you, Kev, and Jon throw down some early splits is always a good motivator, along with the combo being sublime. 👍

Short-shiftin' up a storm:

27.952
26.400
22.054

My first time using one of those Special Restoration coupons, my Tuxedo Black had 44k miles and I decided to see what those do. I think it may be OK...254hp in the tuning screen.
About 25miles on the odo now.

15miles more to find one more tenth:
27.880
26.403
22.140

Kev and Jon .001 apart at T3 already.

I was pushing in the cork. ;)
Haha, fantastic mate.... and a great pic. 👍 That Challenger is a beautiful machine, it really is.

Good job there Lucas 👍 My early splits could be my only splits - we're away tomorrow and not back until next Monday. Busy day today so not likely I'll get a chance to run again. I gave a it a good blast yesterday but it probably won't hold up as everyone gets faster over the week. A shame, its a lovely drive.

You can thank Kevin's local knowledge for that 0.001 :sly: Nice t3 by the way Lucas!

That's a shame Chris. I can see this becoming quite addictive given half the chance. V.busy week at work for the next couple of days but will be running again towards the end of the week

The NASCAR events give you a classic muscle car ticket. I believe you can run the events repeatedly to continue to get the prize (I'm not 100% on that). If you have not run those events on your GTP account, you could run them, get the ticket, and then back the game up and continue to reset until the 63 'vette comes up.

Besides Kevin's suggestion, you could also rename your PS3 (not PSN) account to your GTP tag. If you don't go online, your replay will be labelled with that name, and everything will be ok.

ps: 63 is my year, too, and I believe it is Al's as well

I have three at full power on share
add 'mjdmzn2'

Edit: I will try to send as many cars as I can
but I'm limited to 1 per day

Anyone that needs one send me an FR to either of my accounts and I can share one or two. 👍 I can also send one a day.

Just nabbed a quick go at this, so here are some very early splits:

28.241
26.404
22.107

Had a much better lap than this with a .1 in S1, .3 in S2 and .0 in S3 but royally bodged up the last corner. No idea how you guys are getting through S1 so fast, best I've seen is a very high 27.9. :ill:

The car rotates very well in first gear. I am using first to get in, keeping it there until the power out point, but then short shifting to second for traction and the launch out.

My braking point for the hairpin is just after the 4th marker out, where there's a transition in the runoff tarmac on the right.

Shift point in the car is 5,800 RPM, so it could be straight line speed as well. And of course hitting the apex in the last corner and getting a good launch for start of lap is also important.

I also found the shift point was around 5700-5800rpm so it's not that and my speed over the line is generally about 94-95mph, don't know whether that's any good.

However, I am braking at the 4th marker, which is maybe a bit early, since the car tries to over rotate on the brakes without ABS (5-0 BB as well so it's not that) so maybe that's what is costing me. I've never much liked the first turn here anyway, however I love the rest of the track, so hopefully I can make up time there. 👍

Baaaaahhh! I wish I wasn't so slammed with moving in, these last two combos look sweet, right up my alley 👍

I am braking at the same point as Kevin and, as he's described, using the 1st gear down-change to help rotate the car. I'm also using BB of 5/6 to provide some additional yaw (with ABS of 1). Love this track and I'm surprised how well this car goes around it.

PS. Sorry I can't remember what my speed was as I crossed the line...

I'll try and stick up my 1st sector in a little while - should have time for that. Kevin's description is spot on though.

Sending FR now Manu :)

OK here's a look at my current 1st sector. I actually spun up quite badly exiting the hairpin so there's probably a little more in there. Anyway:
