You know, I would appreciate it if someone in my division would go slower than me at this point in the week. I understand I've only done 15 laps (literally) but come on...

Oh, and the OP says "No Tuning or Added Parts Allowed" and I bet you have a band-aid on your toe still. Steward! :sly:

I'm going to need a car for this event. I'll send a few FR's tonight and hopefully someone will still have one available. Can't wait to give this combo a run.

End of 90 min first session (73.6 miles!). Definitely a 1'15.9 in there :D

Not the best t3 but the other four sectors all pretty good.

Hehe Jon, sorry but the bandaid is removed! Driving with a different bit of my foot ;)

Chris will get 1'15.5 soon I'm sure ;)

I have 247 hp after break-in. Can someone post setting sheet showing normal tuning. I must have something turned off!

How many miles on the clock Dale? Might need the engine rebuild if its super high. I'm using an OCD car from a while back with 0 miles and it was 261hp straight away, with nothing in the parts list on the settings sheet.

No need for TCS on this one, just a bit of throttle control. Brake early for turn 1,2 and 4 if using the braking line. Turn 4 in particular hates you if you're late stopping there! Brake really late in the last turn, I use 1st a lot in t1 and briefly in last turn and briefly in the corkscrew. Only use 3rd 3 times and not before the kink cos i find downshifting kills the speed. Change gear at the penultimate 'notch' on the tachometer before 6k rpm - even up the hill you'll notice the speed diff if you don't do this...

Is using 5/6 BB also - thanks Jon, Kevin and others for BB and rpm tips!

There's nothing you can turn off, its a stock car so the HP is as low as you can get it so the issue must be that it's got miles on it or dirty oil.

If the car has lots of miles on it then you will have to go to the GT Auto shop and perform an engine rebuild. You should get some HP back. 👍

Edit: oops, Matt got there first :D

Great splits, Matt. 👍 Thanks for the tips and the info about the HP, which I'll go add to the OP now.

I guess that means the Special Restoration coupons cause the car to need another break-in, since I was at 254hp. :dunce:

I have one set to online status if you need to borrow one...fully briken in of course. GTP_CargoRatt would be where to send your f/r to. 👍

Thanks for the help. Had changed oil after BOB broke in car. had 123.866 miles on it and 247 hp. Overhaul and now 260 hp. Do I now need to have BOB break in again?
Something just came to me....... have I been running high mileage cars in TT's. Hummm!

Car sent Manu, may not be as good as the one Mitch sends but it'll get you going 👍

I've tried during 2 hours to open a "classic muscle ticket" ,13 cars to sort , 60 tries after still no vette '63.
So i change the name of my account.

Here's an interesting story (at least to me). I did not have this car in my garage under GTP_ConRollins so I went looking in all my ID's to see if any of them had it in their garage. With six ID's, I figured the odds were pretty good
that at least one ID would have it. No such luck.

I went into each ID and checked the Used Car Dealer on the off chance that one would show up. Luck was with me. On the last ID I checked, their sat a gold 1963 C2 Corvette about four lines down. The ID had only two days on it and was sitting at a 0 level so I had to level it up to at least a 3 to get the car.

I go into the Seasonal events and choose the 500PP FR Challenge (I can use the 2014 Corvette Stingray that was free, just needed to detune it down to the required 500PP).

So I start the race, and pass a few cars and then a familiar looking car comes into view. Yep, the next car I need to pass is a red 1963 C2 Corvette.

As I passed it, I couldn't help thinking to myself, "If this was Grand Theft Auto, I could just stop and take that car right now!"

Anyway, I now have a Gold 1963 C2 Corvette sent over from one of my other ID's.

As my kid would sarcastically say, "Cool story, bro". :sly: But I'm not being sarcastic. 👍

Great splits Matt. 👍 Back in action in some style.

...and if you did, suddenly the track would be overrun with an abundance of multi-coloured C2s

I managed to squeeze myself another half-hour with this bugger anyway... and considering taking my PS3 and old G25 along with me this week. :sly: "There's room in the car, honestly!"

Got the feel for it I think and pushing harder. Great fun. 👍

Does anyone know if there is a mileage figure at which even a overhaul will not bring the power up to max? If so, what is it?

The last two links in this post of Pekka's may help, but it's going to be more reading than you have time for. I used a restoration ticket.

@Chris, nice T3, that must have been an early power-on in the cork, right? A lot of other combos we've had here you had to be delicate getting out of the cork, but this one seems a little easier to just mash.

The special tickets for car restoral (not the engine overhaul in the garage) will bring car back to 0 miles. I had a car with 55,000 on it, and after using the ticket it was 0 miles. I let Bob break it in and changed oil.
