Ok... I'm done and submitting with splits on the board. All this rain and it's so sunny outside. I think I'll go out and enjoy the rest of the day and do some windsurfing 👍

Good luck to all those still gunning for podium finishes.

PS> Did enjoy the rain driving a lot and even went through the other sectors and "golded" the challenges... never tried them before and good fun.... haven't done the full lap challenge yet. [Edit: "Golded" full lap]

Tricky combo this week. Just don't have time to put into this. So if you upload any times to the leaderboard at any stage, do you have to submit a final time, or can you back out of it?

Nope you can just not submit your time to "fetchy" and you're good. Your splits will stay on the LB, but you won't show on the final results.

A last try, not with the better T2 but a small improvement at the line.

Think this is it for this week, and not bad considering this is the first time in the "rain"

T1: 58.965

Ran another session yesterday but couldn't quite replicate my final sector, although I know how it's done, saw several (about 5) 57.9xx splits, and one 57.8xx split, gonna have a final crack at it tonight with an intention of shaving off at least 1 tenth from my P.B.

Just thought I'd take part this week after all. Gave it about 10-15 tries - don't have time for more...

T1: 59.963

Submitting with a 58.572
I'm not exactly happy with my T2, could have been faster but alas I hit my target time.

Shaved 1.76 tenths with

57.887

Ended up using 6/7 bb. The more I drive, the more time I see available with this unique combo, 3rd gear drive is so important, aswell as the 2nd corner.

58.55x  Oh shi-

Right back at you
Just can't chase you down, only managed about 4 58.7xx but can't seem to hook up a good T2 anymore. Submitting with splits on the board, good luck all participating 👍

I submitted yesterday and I had given up before then. I'll edit the split of my submitted lap into this post later, it's a little slower than the one on the leaderboard. :indiff: Hopefully I can give a better performance in Week 27. :)

3 tenths up on T1 but only 1 tenth up on overall time so lost some time in T2, was being cautious in the last turn & didn't want to outbrake my self then run onto the grass.. The braking seems to go on forever for that last turn..

T1: 59.622

2 good 2hr sessions on Sunday gave me the lap I was looking for.
Submitting with this.

 and good luck guys, it'll be down to thousandths, I think.

Great combo idea, and looking forward to Trial Mt Reverse now too!

Way to make the D3 podium battle very interesting stanley. 👍

Looks like T13R is in the stratosphere for D3 and has the Gold locked up as I can't imagine him boggling T2 by a half second (which by the way I'm totally capable of ). But it's going to be a heck of a battle for the last two D3 podium spots. Who knows poolhaas or one of the others may have found magic in T2 and we'll all be surprised.

EDIT: Gravitron just put himself almost out of reach... looks like bronze is the battle...

Good luck, can't wait for the results... I'm hoping to reverse the trend of past weeks and move up on the board between the splits and final results... but it's always a mystery to me what the times are going to be on the final sector.

@Manuelos: Amazing shots. Anyone complaining about GT5 is nuts. I got $50 worth of value just running this week's combo and looking at your pictures.

@MarkWebber & w-g-e: Just nuts guys. I can't wait to see how you pulled off a sub 58 lap on a youtube video.

Amazed and humbled as always with the pure talent (and effort level) in this group. In fact given how much I tried this week anyone that ran in the low 59's or better is darn impressive in my eyes. Why there aren't 100s of people in GTPlanet lining up to see where they stack against you guys is beyond me. I guess some people just don't like the taste of "humble pie" as Bill Belichik likes to put it.

I guess I should leave some of this to the results thread, but what the heck.

About to submit, was a smidgeon off my target but the trial mountain event is way too much fun to make me want to try and find it! 👍

@Seken - You definitely had your spinach this week, that's ridiculous pace for D2 bronze!

Good luck to everyone except those in D2 - may your wipers break and your times be slower than mine! :D

Submitted, never got a third session, only about 50 miles this week for me, here's hoping I still manage top 10. :scared:

Don´t have the will/strenght for more a session in the rain 👎

Really strange this week. It tooked always almost an hour just to get on pace, and after that i was exausted and out of focus

All the best to all, and really anxious to see the results

Way to go Joost, looking good 👍

Phillip

Thanks Phillip :)

Finally managed to join the sub-minute group this morning, did a 59.5xxx only to mess up all corners in T2 after seeing the split :sly:. At the time it was still my fastest lap, but I lost at least 0.5 there.

I really wanted to improve this lap this evening but time was running out. Fortunately I just managed to improve, although slower T1, it's faster at the line. I think I could improve another 0.5 at the line with another day, but overall i'm pretty satisfied. Going to sleep now :)

Good luck all!

T1: 59.714

PS: thanks for the extensive write up Dan!

That's me done for this week, left a bit too much time in the track then what I was hoping for due to not using enough track and screwing up the last corner, but online PP restricted races are too fun for me at the minute!

T1: 58.462

Hopefully a few attempts tonight, but we'll see.

I was finally able to get under 1.00 in t1 - barely - , but the split I've already posted is still my best lap, and is already submitted.

Seriously amazed (well, more than normal) at the best splits being submitted. The odds of me running T1 in under .59 are about the same as me actually driving a '54 sl around Nurburgring

Good luck to all 👍

Really, really looking forward to the replays this week.

Thanks! I was chasing your tail for the better part of the week, I only improved on the weekend. My T2 wasn't that amazing so I bet it will be close. We'll see soon eh?

Thanks! And yeah I agree, I don't think I could do even one more run in the rain without losing my sanity to an extreme point.

Submitted with current split time. Ok 1st sector, quite poo 2nd sector. Didn't put much time in this week... started to have decent T1s on Saturday but couldn't match one to a decent T2 - then Trial Mountain Reverse came up and I got hooked on that. Ah well - this was a difficult challenge - well done all survivors 👍

Insane time for D2 Bronze Seken - that was me once
