New splits, short shifting as Dan suggested.đź‘Ť A bit of trail braking in the double left, probably not the fastest way thru, but seems the only way I can keep the rear from sliding too much.

Edit, typo guys, corrected T1, .620 not .260 (I wish). Sorry for messing up the leader board.

T1, 18.620
T2, 22.699

Your first split, how?!

Do you guys know how to correct the leader board with a slower time. I don't think the board accepts slower overall splits.

Edit again, I see the board showing the correct time now.

.2?! I think you installed a turbo this week..

Lol, sorry about your luck at the "Ring". Seems you and I have been handing the win to each other lately due to red flags. Let's both get it right this week.:)

New splits:

Stupid G27 with it's unmappeable buttons :grumpy: It's a little difficult to operate the DS3 on that small straight. Had it been a longer straight with no kink, maybe...

I've heard of people that velcro the DS3 to the center of the wheel, I haven't personaly tried it yet but its a thought. :D

Found a bit more time in T1 and T3 this afternoon. Getting close to my limit though. :)

18.396
22.040

edit> For what it is worth, in this lap there is no over-steer. For the rest, I'm still using Dan's settings.

I was running 18.6's and 22.6's after my first session, once you run a few more laps you'll pick it up like I did.:)

Change you're profile name to GTP, this way if you're having internet troubles you're replay will still show up as GTP:tup:

Thanks đź‘Ť

Interesting that the top time in each division is with a DS3 apart from D1, where Dan's magic is keeping Spud at bay (for now), but only by four hundredths...

I haven't given it a shot myself, but it would certainly make the entry to the double left easier as the steering won't snap. I always have to trail brake and counter steer through here, it's losing me a couple of tenths. Probably down to brake balance.

Just ran a better than, this time the replay has my GTP tag. New Splits:

T1: 18.473
T2: 22.229

TD: 50/50 BB: 6/2

I'm consistently running around the same time over the whole lap, but i'm still a couple of tenths short of the front runners in each sector. I guess in order to do that i'll just have the practice, that magic lap will come to me.

EDIT:

Ran with 7/5 brake balance and short shifting, all tips given by Dan :)

T1: 18.350
T2: 22.163

Lost traction in T2, so theres still another tenth to come, with a little more in the final sector too. I think i'm almost done. Dan's technique for T1 seems to work better than what I was doing before.

This may be one of the shortest tracks but I'm having a hard time with it :yuck:
Especially T2 is getting to me, I can feel that I haven't been playing this game more than a week.
And I think my wheel is having issues, when bumping into something (which happens alot here) the wheel is off center and needs to calibrate again.

^^^ Try the DS3, it's easier. :D

Seriously though, even with a functioning wheel, that double left is crazy. Make sure your braking for the first part is only in a straight line, and below 50% pressure. And a really light 2nd brake tap halfway through. I think the braking in a straight line is easier with the DS3 because it naturally centers when you let off the turning stick.

Sorry if those tips are too obvious. :dunce: I've spent 4hrs+ on it so far.

Also I seem to do just fine on the first lap, without needing to let the tires warm up, so have been restarting when I mess up turn 1. When I passed 25 laps in a session, I seemed to get consistently slower times.

EDIT: Also, beware the dreaded "it-saved-my-best-dirty-lap-instead-of-the-slightly-slower-clean-lap-I-meant-to-save" syndrome. đź‘Ž Takes quite a wallbanger for the game to redclock you.

The braking for the double left is how I knew the combo was tricky enough to run as a one lapper here. ;) We ran it a little bit online on Sunday, and there were a few spins there before everyone decided to just keep a little throttle fed in. Straight line braking is definitely a must.

And yeah, I normally back out and save my lap when I know I have a clean "banker". And also just back off for a moment when I have a wall tap and am ahead of my ghost. Saves the frustration.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out with the DS3 later.
You're right about that last part, turn 1 is so narrow and it takes a good hit before it goes red.

Same here, I think its because we can take a wider turn before the straight and hammer down to get better run at the start line.

Now, now, Gooners (or do you prefer mohitraina91?). Bad etiquette to start killing D3 on your first week out...tsk, tsk. :sly: Make sure to throw a 360 drift move on the last turn and you'll be fine.

Seriously, nice splits. đź‘Ť Hate to act suspicious, but make sure SRF is off.

Haha yeah sorry about that, won't happen every week. Give me an FR car and I'll be at the other end of the leaderboards.

I'm pretty sure SRF is off, because I keep ruining every second lap losing the back end of the car , but yeah I'll check again when I give it another go.

Either is fine lol, I don't think I can change my login name.

Nice to have you aboard. My weakness is also FR, specifically race cars.

Now that you're in the registry, it would probably be harder than normal, but I think non-Premium users can have their username changed once. Premium users more or infinite. I had mine changed after I went Premium, for example.

After a 30 lap session I have made a slight improvement... Thanks for the tips Mark
18.685

Ran another session last night.

18.303
21.951

PB's are .211 ad .920, last corer I'm glancig off the rumble strip, droppig o lower tha 70km/h, which requires some throttle modulation, also the double left, I engine brake down to 3rd quickly, seems to help stabilize the car as the limit requires a slight power slide, as you brake as late as possible.

Only .017 off you're overall lap time, don't push the boat out :sly: great splits Dan I know there isn't much time left in this myself, for my standards anyway

Some more laps and a big improvement. Still don´t understand how to do .3x on T1 but don´t know if i will get much better than this.

T1: 18.459
T2: 21.989

Had a quick go at this one... Won't have too much time to devote to it this week, but in an hour my T1 doesn't look bad:

T1: 18.360
T2: 22.463

I can replicate that T1 pretty consistently, but T2 is a mess... I don't know how to approach that section and it seems like I try a different line through there every time and just hope.

A little better in T2, but lost a touch in T1, also did better in T3 so a decent gain at the line:

T1: 18.428
T2: 22.322

I almost decided to skip this week as I hate to drift, but that's not really what it's about and it's a fun quick little lap that's sucking me in.

Thanks WRS admins!

Need to find some time for this one, only had a quick 3 lap bash at it so far with combined splits of 41.xx if I recall correctly, got a spare half hour this evening for it but I don't think it will be enough to match you guys!!
