Which 'last' week? Week 31 or week 32? Not too late to submit for week 32...

Bit of fiddling with setup -

31.611
52.427

In a sharing mood Chris? I suck at tuning and was keen to have a crack at this one, after too many weeks away.

Yeah, of course. As soon as I'm happy with my fiddlings, I'll post it up. I always post my setup :) ....and welcome back to WRS

Cheers, tinker away..

After my excuse for not having a decent setup is removed, I just have to master the chicane after the tunnel.:nervous:

I'm starting to see what this little roadster is looking for. :)

T1: 32.003
T2: 52.688

I haven't seen anything over 100 @ S/F line and my TS is 139

You seem to be on fire this TT Lefty. Thats cool. Keep it up.👍

Edit: I got 101 a couple times at the line Lefty. Whether you want to or not I dont know. I have often seen where if you hit a 1 mph higher speed at say a checkpoint or the finishline...you went alot slower time wise thru the previous corner and that extra speed is meaningless and a ghost who is only 1 mph slower than you will look like he has nitrous compared to you...yet your actually going faster speed wise. lol

T1: 32.489
T2: 53.218

I cut that chicane rumble in T2 as tight as is possible clean this time. No idea how to get a lower T2 time at the moment. Hoping to find something tuning wise to help alot. No idea what.

Can anyone tell me if that gear trick Yanaran used on the C9s 5 speed tranny will work on this cars 5 speed tranny and how to do it? I tried but dont really get how to. lol

Finally on the board
T1: 31.920
T2: 53.060

Missed the first 3 apexes of sector two... back to it

OK, a bit of progress:

31.584
52.104

Have seen a couple of 31.4xx but consistency is a problem as usual...

Setup v1.0:

LSD:
5/9/5

Suspension:
0/-25
12.0/10.0
5/4
5/4
4/4
2.0/1.0
0.00/0.00

5-speed close-ratio (fixed) gear-box

Brakes 3/3 ABS 9

Wait a minute, doing this in the time trial doesn't it mean that people on your friends list can see your best lap time, which defeats the purpose to some extent of not posting up the last split? Just wondering.

Well, one potential workaround to that is to just go run the event in a faster car.

You're allowed to discuss total laptimes using private conversation methods, and I would consider your PSN friends list a private conversation method. If you don't want your friends to know your lap time, run the TT in a faster car so that your fastest time will not be using the WRS car. If you don't want to know other people's times, don't look.

This clearly isn't the first time we've used the online TT's for WRS, and it won't be the last. The benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

I don't have a problem with it, was just wondering that's all 'cause I've never ran a WRS where it's been a TT. Cheers for clearing that up. 👍

Some time to find in the 3rd sector definitely. Hard to say about 1st and 2nd - I'm not good at judging the limit. Quite often I think I have the measure of it and then an alien comes along and knocks off half a second with a footnote to another 4 tenths... :P

Enjoyed the end to last week so much ive decide i will give this a go.

EDIT-I have 243bhp?

Thankz Vagabond for posting your setup 👍 I'll buy a new car and use this to see if it will work for me. I know my time in the sun is about over so hopefully your stuff will postpone the inevitable.

I had a few peeks myself on the last one, but nobody on my list using that car (for top time) was in D1 or 2.

I promptly bought a 2008 Subaru WRC car and ran it a few laps.

Well here are my initial runs after break in:

T1: 32.197
T2: 53.267

I have never used this tire compound before, this is going to be interesting.

This combo seems to be a even harder challenge to me than my first WRS-combo (week 32)...
Having to not only come up with a tune that works, but also drive the car to the limit of both the car and my capability consistently, will put me to the test...

First try certainly leave room for improvements :nervous:
T1: 33.446
T2: 55.354
:ouch:

People will post their tunes in here to at least give you something to start with.

The best thing you can do is add all of the allowed parts and then jump in the car and run laps. That practice will do more to help you improve than any tune will.

I know this might sound like a very nooby question, but just to make 100% sure, as long as there are 2 wheels on the kerb/no more than 2 go over at the chicane kerb at the bottom of hill after tunnel it is clean?

Just had another go first lap

T1-31.881
T2-51.649

T1 was stupid but ill leave it at that got an early start tomorow

What are people doing with the ballast ?

The car is 940kg stock so thats 60kg ballast .

My first go at WRS :D I use a DS3

T1: 32.173
T2: 53.868

I took all the weight reductions to increase the ballast and made the weight balance 50/50.

I don't see your name in the registry.

Have you run the qualifier?

I have, I submitted my results earlier so I gather I wont be down yet.

Reading the info it said after submission im free to enter events.

From Week 6: check this post and the next page in that thread for some questionable examples. I'd try not to cut it that close. Don't make it a pain for your replay reviewer. 👍

Agreed. It seems like last time here, as we got down to the wire, everyone decided that was the place to find time. It made me wish we still had the wall that was there in GT3 and 4.
