Nice step Tim 👍 I had a quick practice run online earlier - still a huge disparity between offline and online physics... ridiculous really. I'm going to have to put some time in this weekend to find a good setup for the online physics; my current setup seems quite prone to huge lift-off oversteer.

Another small step for me with the offline though:

Calling this my banker lap. In theory, on best sectors, I can go another 0.3ish so I'll probably spend the next 3 days chasing that.... I'll be happy with one more tenth though to be honest. :)
 
Some really great new splits by everyone. Good to see the D3 crew busting up the perfect all blue then all brown then all green then all light blue leaderboard I saw earlier today with only like 2 exceptions. It was almost according to rank. That just looked weird.

Im doing my best to try and break up the solid block of blue at the top of the splits board.:)

Revised splits, had a better lap going by .5 and blew on the last corner.:ouch:

Lift off oversteer is a problem. My ride height change helps just a little online, but I think it's a band aid and not a real fix. I notice it mostly at the end of T1 on the sharp right just before the first tunnel. To combat I brake a little early and get back on the gas early and very lightly (versus coasting) before pegging it full for exit. Same thing happens to a lesser extent offline, but it's much easier to get back in gas so it doesn't seem as apparent. Plus with worn tires online it gets a more exaggerated.

The fun part online is that when the fuel load drops after 25-30 laps the car just gets faster and faster. Change tires, do a lap to warm up tires and you feel like superman.

What HP are you guys running at? My Bspec Bob is on level 0 and I just don't have the patience to get it to level up.
 
Car is 372hp fully broken in. Just start doing laps for this combo and by the time you get somewhere near comfortable, your car will have gone 200 miles! :)

You guys have been busy today while I was working! Lol. Some awesome splits out there!

New splits for me:

T1 - 24.265
T2 - 27.909

First sector is now starting to annoy me :D. A bit more to come when I can find some time.

372 HP after its broke in. But you know this time I didnt really even notice the break in period. Its a pretty fun TT and theres always action even if your not on a new possible best OT lap. Its never dull.
 
I decided to take part in this week's race. I really love this combo!

Here are the splits of my best lap:
T1: 24,182
T2: 27,873

I nailed litteraly perfectly T2 two or three times and could cut maybe 0.030 seconds not a lot more.. So T3 will be the big deal.

EDIT: Oh well as soon as I finished this message I decided to watch my replay, only to discover that it's dirty... And that I ran with my non-GTP account. Double fail :)

That's the gold goal. Decent improvement to set the bar just a little higher for D3:

T1: 24.498
T2: 28.117

I think there is another tenth or two in sector one (for me) if I'm perfect, but I didn't leave much on the track in T2 or T3 and that may be hard to replicate. This is going to be my banker lap for sure and I'll probably shift focus now to online.

Done 80-90 laps, addictive combo. Drives like its on rails.

Make sure you change the oil if you've put in 40-50 laps, you start to lose HP fast.

Great to see a good D4 turn out this week, fun combo with lots of grip.👍

Latest splits, I'll probably submit this lap. Slight improvement in T1 & T2 but I finally nailed the last sector.:) Need to start practicing for the online race.

Just wanting clarification. On the outside of the last corner we have the solid white line then tarmac beyond that, are we allowed to use all that tarmac? Thanks.

0.6 better at the S/F but only marginal improvement at T2 ...

This combo really requires perfection in terms of cornering. Slowly getting there though.

Managed to cut 0.3 of final time..
Lost a bit in T1 and T3, but gained a lot in T2... So I should be capable to get even better OT, but can't get the consistency and the sections to hold up.. :ouch:

Haven't been able to improve after those.. :grumpy:
 
.2 improvement overall, still a good .2 to come, plus 23 is more than doable for T1.

edit: Upon review turns out I didn't just "almost" fumble it, 3 wheels on the green. :( Managed a lap with almost the same OT though that's sparkling clean:

I'm betting the farm that you are correct in that the 4" of tarmac between the white line and the "GreenMac / fake cyber grass" after the red N white rumbles of the last turn are fair game, I'm running the strip there also and have looked at it every which way what so ever and it is tarmac there, so it should be allowable. IMHO
