I was wondering if, as in the situation I have here w/ Little and myself sharing the same console, Little borrows my Weds and runs the combo w/ that rather then spend the time to set up a car? I guess it's more of a WRS procedurs issue but since were all here now .....

I assume you mean that you put the car online for your friends and he borrows it? IMO, that should be OK and I remember people discussing/recommending this exact procedure a few months back (Night Rider) when we used an expensive car and a few people complained about not having the credits to afford it.

Only issue with shared cars is you can't use them online, but for offline practice mode they don't provide any advantage.

Im up 3 tenths at the line , theres maybe another 2 tenths to find but im at my limit I think.

Bigberry, once you hit your limit offline go online and practice so you can join us next week for the live race event! 👍 Your submitted time from this WRS event will serve as your qualifying lap and determine your starting position.

Same invite goes to any of the other "new guys" or "returning guys" who may not be aware that we're running these WRS events online every Wednesday following the WRS combo.

Funny thing I'm finding is I hit my offline limit and commence practicing online looking at tire wear and other unique online factors and then return offline a few days later only to find out I found ways to shave a few additional tenths for WRS. Never got a gold until I started this routine and got two in a row so I'm sticking to it.

Shhh... Don't tell anyone but what I'm really doing online is stealing all of Lefty's "tricks" and coming back to WRS to use them.

I think running with tire wear help you understand the track better and possibly faster than just grinding offline practice. The gradual loss of traction shows you where the limits actually are and when you go back to full offline grip it's like you got a free turbo. :)

I did another lounge session just now and my best was only .1 off my leaderboard lap so I expect to shave a good chunk off that time next time I give practice mode a try (maybe later tonight).

With 818 miles on my Weds means that I have pounded my head on the wall for 350+ lapz....., that means that I have another 1000 to go before I get a grip on this combo :banghead:

Geez w/ you woopen my rearend every week you'd think that it was "You show me yours and I'll show you mine" rather ther other way around .....

Now I think I'm goin ta break out my secret wepon and see how it works "cheerz"

Holy crap am I behind this week! I don't even own the car yet! :nervous:

I was surprised that this car is an MR, weird. :odd:

With my kids' bathroom shower needing an emergency Gravitron-cheapo fix this week, I've been busy, but now I'm waiting the recommended 3 days for the grout to dry.

Huge improvement, courtesy of time attack's settings (Thank you very much sir :sly:)

T1: 24.260
T2: 27.997

Love this car, it just glides through the corners with ease. Went through my first 20 laps as if it was only two laps. Time flies when you're having fun :dopey: Had one of my strangest and greatest GT5 moments just now though. Came out of the last corner with a wheel on the kerb, ended up spinning right into the pits without hitting the walls and with no intervention from me :odd: I was literally sat there with the expression of a Cow on the Moon..

Anyway, first splits:

T1 - 24.690
T2 - 28.293

Got quite a bit of improvement to find.

I did this myself a few times yesterday... In my head I was thinking about perfecting that approach and applying it to the 3D3 race.

Kidding about trying it in a race of course... not exactly a "safe" entry so wouldn't recommend it.

My pit crew were so impressed they swarmed out of their little lair in the pit garage to congratulate me and said I should be a stuntman. Then they changed my tyres and ran off leaving me to do an extra lap just to warm them up 🤬

Very frustrating session, throwing away about 5 laps that were up 0.2 on my current best....

24.241
28.054

Up a measly 0.04 at the line. Now looking for 4 tenths on the lap based on my best sectors but lacking consistency to tie them together.

Nice splits Mark, Yannik, and Welsh 👍 Looks like I'd better get stuck in if I want to keep up with you guys. Got that damn Jonas nipping my heels too... :P

Some how the stupid save feature won't recognize my time, something about bringing in a fast ghost and the time of the ghost was faster the thing wouldn't let me save it. How frustrating to do it all over again .... gerrrrr

I was able to save it as a replay though. If that was my only way to bring up my lap has that ever been accepted?

first splits, enjoying this combo. Have to remeber to submit time unlike last week :dunce:

24.686
28.760

You better tie those sectors together Chris, I'm just getting started! I haven't been below 1000 miles in any race car-week since the Tokyo NSX... :sly:

Just spent the last 45mins trying to improve and managed to take another second off my overall time, but not sure I can get much more off

T1: 25.234
T2: 28.881

It has been a while. The wife and I had a baby. Nice to get the steering wheel back in my hand! I love driving this car

T1: 26.526
T2: 30.733

Al

Finally got what I think might be my best lap this week. Had to look at the replay closely to see if I had accidentally gone completely off of the track but upon reviewing it my wheels were still on the curbs.

T1: 24.703
T2: 28.401

Tweaked the gearbox a little to match certain corners, up .2 at the line.

24.234
28.211

edit: just realized I did this lap with my online tune.
x2: turns out online tune was faster. figures... :dunce:

Lefty I did an experiment and its still possible after Spec 2 to load up a faster ghost replay, say you want to try to beat your slightly dirty fastest lap, and then run a slower time than that ghost and save the slower new ghost replay.

Sorry you had a problem. Maybe its a new glitch?

My turn to get into the race....

Have been trying the last evenings to get the rythm of the track... The car is lovely and sticks to the tarmac, but still I struggle to find the optimal lines thru the corners.

My best splits so far:
T1: 25.241
T2: 29.188

Think this is as fast I can be, with my own setup. Tried Vagabonds setup, but it is to 'aggressive' for my liking :nervous:

I ran into a glitch since Spec 2 where it won't let me load any of my previous ghosts. Not as serious as your issue obviously, but they did introduce some bugs that will hopefully be fixed. I can just exit out and come back and then it loads the ghost properly.

Sorry you had a problem. Maybe its a new glitch?

All fixed just figured out what it was and It was user error :(

I managed to slide under "W" w/ the this one :) almost made it a double

T1: 24.696
T2: 28.416

& my fastest OT so "call the dogs off" (I'm all better now) 👍

Nice step up Lefty 👍

1000 miles..... looks like an intensive weekend ahead then. Time to butter the missus up. :P

Progress again tonight with much gnashing of teeth and growling...

24.087
28.082

Up only 0.1 at the line though... lost my nerve through the last corner and lifted off too much. Still looking for about 3 tenths I reckon.

Splits after a long online practice this afternoon... went quite a bit faster on return to the offline grip as expected. 👍

T1: 24.401
T2: 28.357

New splits, getting a bit faster.

T1, 24.811
T2, 29.123
