The Missus is still sleeping, and I've had a pot of coffee, so I decided to have a beer and issue salutations. [Beer. It's so much more than a breakfast drink!] I'm also going to share my latest tuning tweaks because it's easier to drink while typing, rather than hot-lapping!

I've lowered the compression on the front shocks to 3, and it made the car more consistent. The rumbles don't upset the car so much, and it takes a shorter stab on the brakes to point the nose. I also changed my LSD setting to 5/10/10. The shock change seems important, as it seems to offer a better reward for smoothness. I think the LSD change is so small as to be irrelevant, but I wanted more control under braking, and the increased deceleration setting seems to be giving me that.

I'm now at about 1200 miles, give or take a couple hundred. Well, I KNOW I'm over 1000, because I checked the odometer. If I put my two best sectors together, I can do another couple of tenths, but I don't think I can make a run at the leaders. We'll see what today brings. Enough for now. Back to the track!

Racing On! :gtpflag:

Well, now we can add another 300 or so miles, along with another tweaking to the tune and new splits!! I changed the LSD to 5/15/10, to give me more entry speed, and adjusted fourth gear to the middle of it's range. I have made my goal for the week!!

T1: 37.960
T2: 38.930

It doesn't move me on the leaderboard, but I know I can get more. Enough for Biffy? Probably not. But I'm still happy to have hit my goal. The Missus is awake, but caught up in Gardens of Time on Facebook. Therefore,...

Racing On!!!

Edit: SOMEBODY STOP ME!!! It's getting ridiculous!

For the record, it's been eight hours, one pot of coffee, a sizable portion of breakfast pastry (with cream cheese filling), eight or so beers, and 400-500 miles of chukability. I've spent a hour checking both the replay and the data logger, and I'm THIS close on two spots in the first sector, but I made it!!

Here are the CHUKABILLY CHRISTMAS SPLITS!!

T1: 37.711
T2: 38.830

The Missus is awake and looking for champagne, and dinner will be going soon, so my progress is most likely done for the day. Still, I'm happy with my tune, and satisfied with today. Peace and Love to all!!

Chuk

P.S. The Missus says no peeking up my kilt!!

Fantastic Chuk 👍 Amazing progress over the week with your usual manic dedication. Merry Christmas mate.

I have not raced for a few days, but just fired up and did a flying lap 0.4 down at the line. I would probably be done now if it was not for that slight wall contact ...

Now I surely need some more seat time before deadline :mischievous:

Biffy and Chuk - nice trashing of D2 (and me)

And wayna - that is one way to enter the LB 👍

It's a Christmas Miracle! I ran a decent lap and was able to finish it! Still got nervous and blew certain corners but faster over by a couple tenths.

T1: 37.865
T2: 39.178

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

Going to submit my laptime with new splits;

38.450
39.596

Tough but fun combo 👍

After 2 hours and just under 400km, all run last week, I'm not going to get any more time on this event unfortunately so am submitting with my current splits. I know I could have gone faster as I have the splits to prove it, just didn't get the seat time to hook them together. Left at least 0.3 on the track but it is what it is.

Happy holidays everyone

I've got a few hours today, so it's one more run at Biffy. I've seen some .6xx in T1, and a smoother shift can get me another tenth in the second sector, but if I don't get it, I'll still be happy. I'm hoping to get a D2 podium!!

Racing On!

Has anyone done a 2nd oil change in the middle of all this? I went in to play with settings the other day and was down to 612HP after only 150 miles. Went and got the oil changed and seemed to pick up a few tenths...

Yup, I change oil frequently, even in the middle of sessions. I had that happen early on.

I received i-kam glasses, glasses that film video, from my parents for Christmas. I'm going to try and capture a lap, who knows maybe my fastest, and post it on here. I want to see the quality of video and it could be interesting to watch my hands from my own perspective as I drive.:dopey:

May give it one last shot tonight, Chuk has got me worried so I'm going to tune the car rather extremely to see if I can get some faster splits. Love your dedication Chuk, great to see you really going for the D2 win but I'm not going to let my first opportunity at a Division win slip away easy :sly:

I guess I'm not gonna submit, nowhere near my true capabilities. If I practiced more I would have got at least 1 second off.

38.021
38.625

I give up. I had been running consistent 37.7-37.8s in t1 but now can't get close. Luckily I had a great t2 to offset. I'm submitting now and walking away.

T1: 39.862
T2: 40.771
(

A couple of last attempts as the Vette doesn't want me to leave just yet, it is still going faster and w/ the new combo lurking I don't know how long I can last knowing that even the best combo I ever had got old, I'm forced to say "cya narya" to a backwards world

T1: 39.005
T2: 40.818

I'm not giving up yet. I plan to still chase my ghost for another hour, and then submit. I wouldn't keep going if I didn't think I could do it. I've had the time at t2 a couple of times, but lost it on the final corner. :ouch:

Cheers Biffy!! It doesn't get much closer than this!! :)

I think you have the unofficial record for km/miles run during a WRS week . Great splits though 👍

I won't be submitting as my fastest lap turned out to be dirty after all.
Invisiwall coming out of the righthander in T3. :ouch:
Haven't had the time to run many laps here so no backup replays to fall down to either...

Sigh. 0.4 from my goal. There seems to be a psychological an invisi-wall here.

37.901
38.747

I've submitted my lap with posted splits. Unless there's a miracle in the next ten minutes, I'm done. But it's been a great race this week!!! 👍
Cheers to Kevin!!
And another for all who participated!!

I think you're safe Biffy. My third sector isn't spectacular. It's been a pleasure chasing you this week!!

On to Grand Valley!!! :gtpflag:

I got a late start on this one but decided to submit my current effort.

37.920
39.734

Good Luck to all in the results. 👍

Kevin

38.642
40.198

In the (saint) nick of time, I was able to put together a lap that wasn't too bad...

Thanks to all who shared setups, tips, etc. Very generous of you all! 👍
