First splits, lots of work to do.:yuck:

T1, 25.445
T2, 21.445

It's now official. My entire leaderboard is separated by less than a tenth of a second. I'm either going to bust down the wall by a lot or else spend the rest of the week in constant frustration. Neither option is palatable, but it's better than giving up!! :dopey:

Besides, I still need to catch Jake!!!

Racing On!!

I ran a slower first sector, but was able to get enough acceleration into the second to pass through my ghost. I was calm enough to maintain the line through the last turn and gained .1 at the line.

20.774 👍 👍

...and a T3 good enough to take home to Ma! Whopper of an improvement, Best T2 and T3 of the week by at least .150, but if only I could sort out T1 I'd be in a good place. :|

BB 6/8

LB isn't updating at the moment chaps.

Edit:

25.077
20.763

👍

Found 1/4 of a second overall tonight :D

Nice spilts

Same problem here with that first sector :grumpy:

Tell me when you figure it out, please

Found a little this evening

25.231
20.814

Can see there is loads of time left but struggling to find it.

Wow... great turnout this week 👍 I'll be working on my lap starting tonight (I hope).

The online event is filling up fast with 15 drivers already registered for the EU race next Wednesday. If we get more than 16 drivers we'll be altering the event to accommodate everyone. Come on over and sign up!

Wow... great turnout this week 👍

Highest turnout since Week 35 already and it'll bust through that soon enough, if it hasn't already when the LB next updates.

Awesome stuff :)

I read all of you were eager for a leaderboard update so I decided to do so manually 👍 Hope you like it.

Gonna do this one ;)
After an hour or so

T1: 25.138
T2: 20.807

Lot's of work to do in T1.
Your ID in the left column is so wide that the 'c' cannot be read. Perhaps an idea to only state your GTP name in there?

Is the concrete rumble on the exit of the last turn considered part of the track?

Is the concrete rumble on the exit of the last turn considered part of the track?

I was wondering the same, though I've been avoiding it since day 1. I don't think I would gain any time going that wide on the exit, but others may...

Concrete = Not track.

Does it have a red and white rumble, followed by concrete behind it, or is it just concrete?

It is just a concrete rumble strip, not painted.

Sorry for no pic, but I do think the rule statement regarding track surfaces was clear. I took a pic of the one spot I thought would be most blatantly abused.

The section you took the picture of I am almost never touching, yet the concrete on the right hand side of the last hairpin I am running two wheels into as I exit the corner every lap (still two wheels on track), could do with some clarification by pictures I think before submission time.

here is the rumble in question. It looks like a regular part of the track. Has this been illegal in the past?

Could not say for sure, this is our first time here (in this direction) since GT4.

If we were on a tire/car combination that was more difficult to handle, I would take that into account when setting track boundaries.

In this case, I kept things very straightforward.

Tarmac = Track
Red and White Rumbles = Track
Everything else - Not Track.

Thanks for asking the clarifying question and sorry if I've put a ruin to a good run for you.

But we both know you were going to be back for more anyhow. :mischievous:

If you have 2 on tarmac and 2 on that rumble, no problem. You only need to have 2 on the track surface. You could even have the left tires on that white line and be OK, with the other 2 on grass.

Just can't have it like the pic Jake posted.

Thanks for the clarification Kevin.👍

There goes my 'perfect' lap.. :(

If the rear left wheel is not in the grass then it's clean.
This rumble strip is clean.

You really need to stop posting things like this.

You are not a race admin. And you clearly did not have an understanding of the rules for this race.

No problem, Kev. My current splits don't involve that part, but I did have a blister of a lap which invoked me to clarify... That last turn is catching me out, I am either too early or too late...
