Ditched my 4-speed transmission and ran Eclipsee's as-is, with BB 6/7 ABS 10.

23.975
35.476

Thanks Ramon 👍
You really have to toss the car around to get the most out of that tune.
I'll throw in the towel after a few more laps :D

Nice Splits. If I could get that T2 I'd be happy. Here are my latest:

T1: 23.963
T2: 35.577

I missed the apex slightly in the penultimate corner, but nailed the final corner like I haven't done before so passed my ghost coming to the finish and dropped my total lap time by a whopping 0.025. :sly:

Thanks Tim, not too shabby yourself 👍

Now that I basically have no time left to drive this one I'm getting really, really addicted
23.967
35.375

Absolutely ridiculous entry to T3, but it worked out ok - ish :nervous:
Hopefully I'll get a final shot tomorrow, but I 'm submitting this lap in hopes it will discourage me from further attempts (Not counting Monday;)) I need sleep...:D

Good Luck Everyone

Damn, I left my home at friday night and I got past by 40 people :embarrassed:. Will see If I have some time for lapping through Fuji, having been so tired for going here and there in my trip

Well I have Submitted with my Current Splits. I am not currently able to commit the amount of time that I want/require to get a lap time that is not terrible but that is life at least its better than where I started the week. Thanks again to everyone who grinded my B Spec Dudes so that I could get the car and run this week. It was a nice little one.

Unfortunately I think this will be my last week for a while. With my new house starting to be built, My Wedding coming up fast and not to mention the two friends weddings and of course My Bucks Night in there aswell I think it will be wiser to spend my time elsewhere.

I will still be looking in on the races and wishing I had the time to run them but for now thanks again for a great week and good luck with the next few.

Now I just forgot to save my best lap..:(:(
Lost all my replays and don't know if I have time again...:yuck:

I'm just going to go ahead and submit now, even though I have the day off work and I'm not happy at all with my time or splits. I can consistently be 2-3 tenths ahead of my ghost after turn 3, fall behind after 4, catch and pass it through 5, and then proceed to lose it over the last couple of turns. I tried Ramon's tune and it's great except I almost always have the rear end break out on the penultimate corner. A week that started so well but ends in so much frustration.:banghead:

Change the brake bias to 7/6 and it won't kick out quite so hard. Probably not as fast that way, but for a mere mortal like me it made a big control difference. Also brake first and shift down after your speed has decreased enough... an immediate down shift under braking with this setup/car/track will send the back side a-flyin'.

In my best lap I actually use that kick out to my advantage, but it's tricky... starting to see some of the tricks the D1 guys use, but not yet up to snuff skill wise to take advantage of them... but the light is shining a little brighter than it did a couple months ago.

Also learning to finish my braking zones turning into corners like turn 1. My old habit was to brake straight and turn after, but after tips from Rees and watching other drivers replays I see a little chunk can be gained by starting off by braking straight, but finishing off the braking zone with a corner entry. It's a very marginal gain and probably not necessary for online racing where you can make up time drafting and can't really afford extra risk, but in a time trial it's a useful change of technique. Was probably obvious to everyone else but it takes a while for me to catch on.

Thanks for the tips Tim:tup:

I may try to brake bias change if I jump back on the game. I did have to start down shifting later, and it helped, but still had huge issues. Metally I'm finished so I don't know if I can even get myself to bring the wheel back out. I put in over a 1000 miles and my best last was before I did 500. The other problem I have is it seems like I have the mental capacity to be good at only 2 sectors at a time, never all 3. If I stuggle on T2 I'm good on the others, and as soon as I figure out 2 I lose T3. A never ending cycle. Oh well, I need to practice at some point for the online race.

Submitting with splits on the board. I've hit my limit with this combo, and although I was getting quicker T1s just now I couldn't keep the momentum throughout the entire lap to improve that.

Agreed. I'm the same. On my best lap I am behind my best split by almost 0.2, but I nailed the final turn. I can go and beat my ghost 5 out of 10 times to the end of T2 just to watch him gobble me up.

We are practicing today for the online race in the GTP_3D3Racing lounge at the normal time (8:00 PM Eastern) and tomorrow at 8:00 PM GMT. Plus I'm going to practice in the lounge at various other times so pop in and maybe I'll see you there. Same invite goes to all -- even if you are not planning to race Wednesday, but just want to run some online laps with other WRS drivers and scope out the lounge feel free to join us. Send a FR to GTP_3D3Racing if you are not already on the list.

The approach is slightly different with a stock tune only so practice is recommended before the race to make the adjustment. The hardest part is adjusting to the different shift points and even different gears in some corners. Also can't be so aggressive on the last corner or hairpin without that extra down force. But once you make the adjustment the car races really well in stock trim.

T1: 23.888
T2: 35.448

It looks more fancy than it is. Saw the T2 split and got a bit nervous in T3, taking it pretty cautiously. Still I think I'm done, a really fun and frustrating combo.

I was having the same issue as you. I used 7/8 in the first two sectors, and 7/6 for the final sector (like Tim said). If changing BB on the fly isn't an issue for you, you could give this a try, worked for me 👍.

Getting right into the DFGT eh?
On the fly BB settings can certainly make a combo like this very interesting.
For a while I was switching from 7/8 to 7/6 after the hairpin, then back to 7/8 just before the final turn. It does kind of mess with my timing a bit, but it helped prevent a really loose back end for the final sector.

My submitted lap didn't have a BB change though, in the end I tried to get used to a whippy back end and just go for it.

Yeah it's a lot of fun, though I'm still having massive issues whenever I oversteer, which is why I pretty much needed the change in BB.
I did the 7/6 on the straight after the hairpin, and 7/8 on the S/F straight, so I wasn't really messing with my flow.

Great time by you too 👍

Submitted with these splits

Not happy with my laptime though

23.774
35.601

Good luck everybody

24.178
36.064

A gain of almost 0.2s at the line, will be submitting with these.

Just finished my final run:

T1: 23.864
T2: 35.682

Good luck to everyone still running,

Cheers

Louis

24.224
36.371

Saw a sub 24.2 in T1 but can't get it back consistently coupled with T2 and T3. :indiff:

Still a couple of hours to go.

Knocked another .2 off the OT so I'm out and submitted, great combo Kevin and the references to the car being a great car were dead on. It was very predictable and your set up just kept on giving........ Thankzzz..... 👍

For D3 that is rather good.... I smell a handicap-board victory for you, sir!

Look forward to see the results...thought I had a chance at 3rd, divisionally - doubtful now with all the times bunching up ahead of me and around me - instead I'll pray to Vaxen for a handicap-beating result

Last time we were here I dropped 5 places from splits to results (5th to 10th @ week 22) - I've learned from that by only being 10th on splits and hopefully maintaining 10th. Yeah!

All the best to those still running til the bitter end! I'm sure Joao is out there somewhere with a 59 flat.... :)

Submitted with slightly better splits.

I left about 2 tenths on the track so I'm decently happy with the lap, could have been better but I'm not fully used to the DFGT yet. The brake pedal was really limiting my T1 times.

:banghead:
Switched off last night in 4th Div 4 with a shot at a podium pending the third sector . . .
Leaderboard thismorning finds me at the back of the bus!!!
I'm submitting anyways and holding on to the faint hope i have that my last sector is good enough to keep me in the mix.

Cheers All !!!

Last and submitted splits:

T1: 23.902
T2: 35.807

Not happy with the T2 or the last session that failed to beat the T3 that followed, and it wasn't even particularly impressive. Fumbled a 59.383 and at least half a dozen 59.5s.

I don't even like the lap! (Messy and slow entry to T2, that I nonetheless had to review a lot, followed by a poor 100R line and hairpin).

Ah, well.

Just pulled a lap half a second faster, but it was unfairly red-flagged :(
Let's try to make it again now ;)

Cheers, i was trying to beat my previous best for an hour, then was about to call it a night when i thought i'd change the oil to get back to 178bhp, and restored body rigidity then was two tenths up at the line on my 2nd lap.
