Had to have a final session as I felt I left too much time out there. Finally improped to lap that I'm satisfied with although if I was to be critical I think I left 0.1 maybe 0.2 out there.

22.581
39.614

Good luck all:tup:

I have a problem....

I just did a review of my replay and its dirty at the chicane :yuck: All of my replays are dirty. :nervous: Another 2 dirty at the chicane, one on the entry to Ascari and 2 more on the exit. Not by much but on the chicane its those curbs where the red/white joins the green. If I can't get a good lap in tonight, I'm doomed.

Well thats me submitted, so close to a top 20 on the leaderboard.

I really enjoyed this over the sliding around of the last 2 weeks i really felt I was picking the lines of the car not just point and hope, steering the rear through the final bend to tighten it up with the throttle (a first for me, WRS paying off?) feels epic.

Feeling for you Chris. Hope you get a good lap.
I'm off for my race to the deadline aswell. :sly:

Feel your pain Chris - just checked my best lap and it's uber close at the chicane and when I saw it I almost passed out :scared: Fortunately it's clean by a couple of inches. I know that you have the consistency and the speed to be able to pull another great lap out - good luck mate 👍

Thanks guys. Getting going as soon as my dinner settles... Christophe mate, can you delete my current splits from the leaderboard?

Been there, had to do that as well, Chris. Still have 3+ hours to go, so good luck.........and a big thank you for the tune! 👍

I know you can do it, Chris! Speedy's probably driving right now, so I went and deleted your time from the leaderboard. 👍 Bumps me into 5th overall. :P

@Jon: Nice, glad you got another session in, and I think you probably have it. I think I've mentally moved on to the Ring already.

This was a very good and instructive combo though, hats-off to Speedy! 👍👍

In the same boat Chris, I'm plugging away at the laps now, but they're nowhere near my fastest :nervous:

Going to check my 2nd best lap, hope it's clean.

WoW Lou what a great charge to the end, I guess It's down to our hole cards now ...... good luk.

Thanks mate, good luck to you as well 👍 Great second sector btw!

I'm submitting now with my current splits, but not too confident in my 3rd sector - I can be a few tenths down at t2 and still be right on the ghost's tail over the start-finish. Should be a very close finish in D3!

Good luck to everyone still running 👍

Cheers

That's the spirit Chris, good on you 👍

Thanks Lucas, but T3 is an easy sector to get wrong so let's see what happens in three hours - agree though that the combo was quite difficult to get your head around. I think part of the issue is that you're braking from very high speed four times on the lap. If you go in a little hot, the SH tyres can't cope with it and wash out - very fine line between grip and slip.

After many many hours yesterday and this morning from about 2am (7:54am now) I have finally cleanly improved my time by 3 tenths overall.
Had one lap faster (0.031) than this but was too close to call if it was clean or dirty, it was dirty in the camera viewfinder but clean (barely) in the photo.
Feeling good about getting another podium but with things this close between so many in D3 I just don't know.

22.775
40.197

P.S 808km of time trial laps this week with 500 or so in the last day :D

my final go before submission

22.711
40.261

slightly slower in t1 but faster in t2 also quicker laptime overall.

Onto the ring now i think.

Will put some more las in after 20 minutes and if I fail to better myself knowing I can go .5 better I'll have to revert back to my time that's +.3.. :grumpy:

I either skip the first chicane or lose .5 on it.. Nothing inbetween..

Have had several laps all around .1 between each other.. And all with NEARLY perfect first sectors bar the fact their all very very slightly cut..

Will kill me to get the best out of this one..

I think it's all these wrs 3d3 races I have been doing I seem to be waking up earlier and earlier :)
By the way Jon my name is also Jon with no h, short for Jonathon :D

I'm Jon short for Jonathan :)

That's really unlucky Mike. Do you have time for another run?

I have to say, if you stopped the replay a tenth of a second later I think that would be dirty..

Not necessarily. Given the understeer, the angle of the front wheel is not necessarily the direction of travel. I have a similar situation here:

I think this is as close as it gets and the car is understeering all the way through the bend. I obviously have an addiction to treading the wire. :nervous: This is from my new fastest lap... :indiff: I've PM'd Christophe to ask if he'll scrutineer it for me before I submit... I'm getting too agitated now and don't think I can beat this lap even though it has a pretty poor first sector.

I'm going to load it up again in a minute and try till the deadline, but my second fastest I didn't even save, so it was probably dirty. The rest are awfully slow laps.

Scratch mine again - its off track in the second left of Ascari. I think I'm done :ill:

I can't find my USB stick anywhere. I think its at my cousins house, I had seasons 1-3 of SOA on it for him. I won't be able to submit this week, sorry for posting splits.

Chris, my chicane is just as yours is, but i think I have another inch or so of rumble underneath me.

EDIT: NOoooo, I can't believe you're off at Ascari mate. Gutted for you. It's just the nature of this track isn't it. Wk18 was the same unsurprisingly - shaving these corners is vital to lap time around here.

Submitted my time with my splits on the board. I tried another long session and tried to find a better tune. Couldnt beat my OT, couldnt find a better tune either.

Good luck everyone.:)👍

Not as close as mine ATM.. I'm taking photos now and will post my splits after I verify that I haven't cut..

It's .2 up on my fastest time yet which was also dirty.

Will edit the pics in afterwards cause I want to make sure my time is in on time.

EDIT:

Lap is actually clean. Very happy. Was hard to pause at right moment though.
