While pretty to look at, and though it makes me feel terribly heroic to be able to hold these monster slides, this is not the fastest way around the track.:banghead:

Late start, worked on this most of the day. Try to put some more time in tomorrow.

T1 22.814
T2 40.355

Nice late opener, Joe. 👍

60+ laps after my last reported splits, and I think I finally have something.
0.2 on the lap, with a similar T2 time. Was really tough to get one that
was easily clean...this lap I only got a little bit intimate with the first turn's right wall,
but no touchy.

22.759
40.031

 This man knows his stuff 👍

Just smashed my overall time, T2 was a bit messy, so even more time to get. I now expect a tune from you every week :sly: Thanks :)

22.737
40.774

Nice job and nice splits and Im happy I helped you some. Remember this tune you will find many uses for it. I have since I discovered it in May. Its usually the first tune I try often its so good.

Dont always work but it works more often than not it seems in FR MR an even 4x4. Lsds kind of are the X factor as well as brakes. 2.8 1.8 is like my good luck charm camber I always do awesome in seasonal TTs on it. I do well on 1.5 1.5 on dirt.

Morning Splits...

22.887
40.788

Found .3xx this morning overall

Actually going to submit here and move on to the Nurburgring...that's gonna take me some time, I am horrid on that track.

Fighting a nasty cold, maybe that was what gave me a better time? Although slow it my best so far.

T1 0'23.227
T2 0'41.325

:ill:

Improved time overall but lost on T1 but gainned on T2.

T1: 24.135
T2: 41.385

PS: I have put my controler in my signature

T1: 22.921
T2: 40.598

Finally put it all together and didn't touch the green death, thanks to Jacks setup I was able to know which way to go with my "Vmod" special. Thanks to everyone and their 2 centz.

T1: 22.909
T2: 40.127

Now on to my favorite track :) "Ring Power" Weeeeeee

Happy to help a little. Thats a great T2. Your driving AT right? Makes it that much better.👍

For over a month I have been doing iRacing and using M/T so I started to use the Stick Shift again in GT5 also. The paddles light up some carpel issues in my wrist so that is why I was always on A/T but since I have been iRacing it's all natural again. I always missed the advantages of M/T when I was healing and it's looking like i'm back to normal again :)

That might look good on the leader board, but I gained only .05s at the line.

Thats great Lefty and I see your in the top dog position on the board in D3...I also see that the top three in D3 are within 12 hundreths of eachother at T2. Wow is that tight!

I have been trying to improve my time for hours this afternoon but so far I've been close for no improvement. This is the closest I have seen D3 in my short wrs life, as jack said the top three are within 12 hundredths and MilleRSVR in 4th a whopping 38 hundredths further back.
Time for a little break then I'll have just one more go tonight.

Wow, same here, JTV. :ouch: 40+ more laps tonight and I think I'm done. I can get in front of my ghost by T2, but my T3 is the best I've ever done. Got 925 miles into this one. I'll gladly share a podium with Jon, Jack, and Viper. Oh wait, that's too many people!

The last couple of sessions have been really frustrating, I just haven't been able to get a fast clean lap in. Submitting now and moving on.

Submitting for this one, was up til 2am doing another 30 lap stint and couldn't even get within 0.3s of my previous fastest time, thought I needed an oil change but was running full beans!

Managed to start hitting 22.6xx T1's but couldn't get anywhere near my best T3's, and have come to the conclusion it was a futile effort trying.

By my reckoning this "simple" track almost needs two driving styles, T1 yielded quicker times if I threw the car in with smoke billowing off the front tyres, yet T3 demands super smooth control, I went fastest using the adjustable height suspension kit i.e. stock with 1.7/0.7 camber settings and very low spring rates.

Quite enjoyable and ready to move on, have to do some seasonals as I realised last night I couldn't gift myself the Alfa for some reason, and am running low on credits in my GTP account.

Finding this week quite tough, especially hitting the right line in sector 2, haven't had as much time as I would have liked to run this week.

T1 22.734
T2 40.639

Will get another few laps in before the deadline though, some amazing times at the top of D3 really close too. Hopefully I can pick up the pace!

EDIT

Just tried Jack's suspension tune, was a lot quicker through T2. Thanks for the set-up 👍 New splits:

T1 22.839
T2 40.320

Still need to adjust to the new handling through T1, and how to get the power down out of the final corner but I'm heading in the right direction.

Thanks for the tune Jack 👍

Cheers

Louis

Last ditch effort to keep Lucas at bay and couldn't get within half a second of my best lap despite getting better sectors...until....

22.744
39.952

gave a little away in T1 but gained some back in T2 despite making a right mess of Lesmo 1. Slighty slower to the T2 split than my last best lap, but then hit a PB in T3 for over a tenth at the line. Have left 0.12 on the track but it will have to stay there.

Good luck to those still putting the laps in

Thanks for the tune Jack 👍

Cheers

Louis

Your welcome Louis. If you get to run some more laps I wish you good luck.

@Jon...nice job beating your OT again. I know how it is not getting close to your ghost and then one lap you somehow beat him. I plan on trying before the deadline again. I figure I got a 50 50 chance of beating my OT, either I will or I wont. lol

Good luck Jack. Every time I run I see more time that can be found, but for some reason it's difficult to stitch it all together. Like I said, I'm 0.12 off my best splits, but reckon that there might be 0.2 or more if I got all the corners right. This was my first run since last Thursday and it took a while to brush the cobwebs off. I've done 951km this week which is more than usual, but the track is so fast it racks up quickly. Just keeping my fingers crossed now ;)

Edit: submitted with the splits on the board.

Another 15 laps:

22.614
40.208

Another 7-8 tenths to be found: 3-4 on sector 2, 4-5 on sector 3.

I chased my ghost for almost 1500 KM's caught it a few times only to loose it in T3. I think I will put this one to bed and move on to the ring.

Al

Managed to find a bit of time, mainly in better traction (from a more steady thumb) in the chicane after the end of t1. Had a few 22.6's but either miss the braking point or don't nail it out of the chicane.

T1 22.729
T2 40.212

A couple of tenths lost in t3 compared to my best, but I have found about 8tenths on the lap since this time yesterday.

Submitted and out, I don't think that I have ever won my division but it sure feels good to think about those possibilities. I sure hope my drive to the finish is enough to give me my first win. It's really weird how a light can go on and you can see what you need to correct your mistakes and then wha-la. You have one turn left to go and it can be something that is epic or it can be a hart breaker and w/ the long straight before the final statement the butterflies make their presents known. I hit that turn better then I ever had when it most mattered and oh what a feeling. I just hope that it is enough, good luck to all the die hards that are still left, considering the draw of the ring beckoning to "Come Play With Me"

WoW Lou what a great charge to the end, I guess It's down to our hole cards now ...... good luk.

I'm not going to submit. I wanted to do a long session today but my wheel broke so I couldn't do that.

Good luck to all.👍
