It would, then we would know for sure and wouldn't have to just go on instinct.:indiff:

Has anyone else got any thoughts on whether the physics have changed or not?

That's interesting, I had a quick session yesterday, and when I first went on track it did feel less grippy - I had to check that I was still running the right tune - edk's I used for my first session. As the suspension felt different on turn in.

I did manage to beat my sectors individually but not over the whole lap or what I expected, as my t2 on my current splits is fairly slow from what I managed first session.

It might just be my driving, as I am usually all over the place for a few laps, but it did feel a bit worse for turn-in, as if the front was softer and the front camber lower.

I didn't make the connection with the update and the difference I found until I read this though lol.

FWIW, I have felt no difference in the handling and I have lowered my best time by over half a second in today's session. (which still means I am slow as a slug)

Fanatec wheels are effected Chris as they use the Logitech drivers, Since the update I find the FFB to be significantly improved.

The update imo has done something to the physics, I noticed Wes said he couldn't get near his time he set before the update, that tells me there has been a significant change, especially when GTP_TL is struggling to beat Wes, and we all know how fast he is :) (not that Wes isn't fast)

My first ever WRS combo was monaco, I love the track. I wasn't slow when I ran this back in week 6 but I would be ashamed to post splits at the moment which leads me to believe there has been a fairly big change somewhere. If a few people are saying they can't get near their splits it's a no-brainer.

I ran this for 3-4 hours and realized I was getting nowhere, is the update to blame though? :ouch:
I couldn't get near my time, but that was a session I did before the update, so it didn't have anything to do with it. I just had a bad day or my time is really that quick.;)

P.S.: Mike has never beaten me yet.;)

getting a late start on this , looks fun :). Could someone tell me the final breakin HP? I'm using a used version from UCD that i got, I dont know when. I'm @ 308HP.
Thanks

You're at maximum horsepower already.

I installed the update Tuesday night and ran .3 faster than my previous lap, my first thought though was that my wheel felt less "feedbacky" than it had before the update.

I haven't felt any quantifiable or describable difference since the update, but my post-update session last night was much more enjoyable than my pre-update session.
That kind of variability happens to me all the time over the course of a WRS weekly TT, though. :)

And I think the only Standard cars that need break-in are those obtained from a Ticket.

I had a handful of 13.7xx times going through sector 2 but I had to back off due to minor contact earlier in the lap.

This combo is hard. Don't have much real life time this week.

I'd recommend using your fake life time then. :sly:

Practice tonight has yielded these:

27.793
45.750

A better dialed in tune for my style will hopefully yield a bit more.

Besides the special chicane rule, are there any of those invisible walls at this track that we need to be wary of this week? :nervous:

I don't think there are any invisible walls. There could be but I only know about the ones at HSR and Top Gear of course, but you have to be pretty far off the course to hit those.

Although... I swear I missed a wall by inches and still heard a slight thud once. I even checked the replay multiple times and the data logger (which was a hassle because my gas pedal was flickering all the way through that lap) but I couldn't determine if I had made contact with an invisible wall.

Sent my times to fetchy and it replied that I am not a registered driver. I used to be mattymc96 until I changed my name when I got premium. My GTP_ PSN ID is GTP_Matthew.

GTP_Matthew / MattyMc96 / Ireland (3.406 / 3.528)

New splits:

T1: 28.301
T2: 46.181

There's at least one invisible wall, but it requires jumping the curb at the hairpin to hit it and I doubt anyone is going to use that line through that corner. Or every wall has an invisible wall sticking out from it. :scared:

Do the invisible walls make audible noises when hit?

Nevermind, yes they do. :(

Thought I had a clean lap but I brushed an invisible wall coming out of Casino.

An oil change, 2 more attempts and 30 minutes later. Finally a clean lap that was faster than my previous clean lap.

There are often invisible walls a few inches from real walls. The old HSR invisiwall on Prologue was that way. Everyone would check their replay and think they were OK when they saw daylight between their car and the barrier. That's the sort of thing you need to be careful of here.

I had two faster laps than my current. One of them I thought I was clear of the wall but after turning up the volume and listening very closely, I heard a very low *thud* in the exact spot I had checked in photomode that looked clean. The other lap I put a wheel too far into the chicane.

At least I have the confidence now to be able to go back and knock out a similarly quick lap within 2 laps of the tires warming up.

New splits.

T1 27.746
T2 45.734

Lost some time at the tight hairpin, and was slow in t1. Not much of an improvement at the line, but t2 is going a bit smoother now.

Anybody able to help, who should I PM about this?

All I need is a Moderator to change my GTP name for Fetchbot?
