First crack at the combo (was a long one).
Finally got some good splits, only to screw up the last corner. :P Still finished slightly ahead tho.

I don't know how you're going so fast w-g-e but props! You using EDKs tune?

I made some asjustments to Kevin's tune but nothing worth posting to be honest. I couldn't come close to my best yesterday either.

I'm away in the weekend so I'm just going to sit back and watch you beating those.

I am having the same problem you guys are. I just couldn't find any speed at all! So I went to my other ID and saw I had the Yellow/Orange #22 in the garrage. I quickly gifted it to my GTP account thinking surely a color change (anything different than that God awfull mustard yellow #9) will help.

Wow! I cut a full second off my T1 time! Now we're cooking. Smash into the wall making the right before the tunnel. Ok, no problem, start another lap. Let's go into the garrage first. You know, just to make sure I got the right tires, and such. Yep, racing hards. Ok, do I have enough downforce, yep, maxed out. Let's make sure I have the power right....oh, oh...what's this Engine level 3 thing? AAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know how to remove engine upgrades?

Well, back to the ugly #9!!!

You can't remove engine upgrades unfortunately. What color are you looking for?

I only have access to a #9 and thanks to Vagabond a shiny new #33. I'd gladly "pass it forward" and gift you the black #33 if you like. One good favor (from Chris) deserves another so just say the word.

Appreciate the offer, but if I do this thing, I'm gonna stick with the #9. It's only fitting, an ugly lap should be done in an ugly car don't you think?:yuck:

Tried two other tunes, could not come come within 1 sec. of my PB. So back to Kevin's tune I went and here are my new splits. Oh and I also found 6/10ths in T3! :sly: Thanks Kevin!

My first clean lap so far, easy to lose a lot of time in every corner.

Curse you, Vagabond!!! :sly:
:D You're about 40 years too late for that! If you're a whizz around Monaco, I'm sure you'll find a bit more on your next session anyway... :nervous:

Here's a new target for now:

27.386
45.078

Totally missed my braking point again for the swimming pool so still looking for a few tenths on the lap unfortunately, or this would've been me done for the week I think.

I have a seriously hard time going below 28 at T1 and 1'14 at T2.
I´m so glad i´m not the only one having this problem :ill: :yuck:
Does my scruffy 1st sector video not help at all guys? The only advice I can give is "wring its neck". Get the nose pointed in early and then straight on full throttle. Drift the rear slightly trail braking for Mirabeau (1st right in sector 2) and same for the hairpin. Coast through the left/right of the chicane and get it straightened up early for a full throttle exit, keeping as close to the curb as you can.

Thanks Chris. That's exactly what I am doing. Only really, really slowly!:ill:

I know its probably a redundant and annoyingly obvious statement but bravery with the barriers is paramount. You need to throw it at the Armco and just have faith... If you don't crash, it'll be a good sector time. :sly:

Here's a tidier 1st sector video - 27.386:

Thanks Chris, I think your words and vids helped. 👍 Saw a couple low .6 T1's, but couldn't convert them. T2 seems pretty good though.

Since update can't get anywhere near my T1... Don't know if it's me or new physics or something.

Well I struggled a lot after it too but after a while I was able to match and then beat my pace from before, so I'm not sure.:indiff:

Thanks Chris
Happy to help Lucas mate 👍

Probably just an off-day blip. Can't say anything feels different since the update... I also have a Fanatec wheel, which shouldn't be affected by the updates for other wheels I don't think.

Hmm..

Starting to get there now but the car and the wheel both feel really loose compared to Monday.

Going to get more laps in after F1 practice concludes. I drove the car on my other account, online, after updating the game and I didn't feel any difference in handling. I also didn't have a setup on the car but it still felt fine and was just as slow as I was without the setup on the car I was running offline for this combo.

Just a quick note to say that since the Clio Tropy Race Car '00 is no longer in the OCD I have set my spare one to share, so if anyone wants to run but does not have the car they can add me and still take part.:D

Fanatec wheels are effected Chris as they use the Logitech drivers, Since the update I find the FFB to be significantly improved.

The update imo has done something to the physics, I noticed Wes said he couldn't get near his time he set before the update, that tells me there has been a significant change, especially when GTP_TL is struggling to beat Wes, and we all know how fast he is :) (not that Wes isn't fast)

My first ever WRS combo was monaco, I love the track. I wasn't slow when I ran this back in week 6 but I would be ashamed to post splits at the moment which leads me to believe there has been a fairly big change somewhere. If a few people are saying they can't get near their splits it's a no-brainer.

I ran this for 3-4 hours and realized I was getting nowhere, is the update to blame though? :ouch:

Update might have changed something. I've had issues controlling other cars that should have been easy to handle.

Would be nice if PD gave all the details in their patch notes

It would, then we would know for sure and wouldn't have to just go on instinct.:indiff:

Has anyone else got any thoughts on whether the physics have changed or not?

They have been talking about what they think PD have changed in different parts of the forums, things that seem to come up mostly in posts is that understeer has changed significantly, I personally think there is a little less grip as well.

Interesting observations... I honestly have not noticed any difference at all. I'm 0.2 faster over the lap since the update, with small incremental gains in each sector as I expect from my sessions. I certainly don't feel slower, as evidenced by my improvement last night.

It does state in the update notes that FFB has been 'improved' for some wheels but that doesn't affect the physics per se, only the way your wheel responds... ie, the car itself has identical performance. In any case, I can't say anything has changed for me either way.

I think the tires have changed a bit. Feels like it takes a bit longer to warm up the tires but once they warm up they stay warm. Ran a faster lap, had 2 big slides coming out of Nouvelle and Piscine and a lack of 100% throttle.
