Ran another session, using same BB of 4/6 defini8tely optimal, managed to hit

33.779 (epic)
20.872

Satisfactory last sector, just satisfactory, not submittable quality though for the position I'm chasing.

I'm bound to hit the lap I want sooner or later, think what helped me get such a low T1 is just careful, calm braking, and calm steering inputs (simulation steering, feedback 1, no aids except ABS1). Gear 1 usage for the initial part of the first 3 hairpins (with the last of such corners being highly 1st geared, only upshifted to 2nd as a way to moderate corner speed and to exit smooth, the last of the T1 sector corners is critical and I noticed that you need to glide the nose in at a high speed, maybe 69-71, then accelerate quite late out of the corner. There is a certain maximum speed you can carry upon exit, and this fast entry technique acquires such maximality. In other words fast in, fast out is the go.

Out of this world

Great splits, but above all thanks for your tips.
If we put together all that you posted now and before, you described how to attack all corners of the track, including gear and speeds.
Being the first time at WRS i´m amazed for your disponibility in sharing:bowdown:
(but one thing is knowing, the other is doing :sly:)

Go Lefty! 👍
I dig that stuff.

Thankzzz Chuck :)

Impesive splits Lefty. Top job.

And I thought that this would be a low stress week, let me see.... hum.... didn't submit for wk 6.... that was a good start, put a bunch of time in on grinding and adding cars to the garage.... now there all gone, turned my fastest time for wk 7 and the PS3 dies due to HD failure, spent nearly all day yesterday rebuilding my new box, great week so far....lol.

T1: 35.009
T2: 21.294

New splits for me, except this time I royally buggered up T3. Not happy, this is really testing my patience not to break something. Anyway, will have another quick go tomorrow to see if I can better T3.

T1: 33.923
T2: 20.849

The thought of people going under 34sec in T1 is unbelievable, i would love to see those replays :)

T1: 34.773
T2: 20.965

Improved S1, S3 as well, maybe can get even more out of S3, but I'm still struggling to do constant 34's in S1 and I've no idea where to get that second in S1. Great job, Mark. Need a rest now, maybe try again later today.

Between Josh, Dan, Rudi and Zoky it really makes me wonder why the rest of us even bother trying. I was well happy when I went under 35.0 for T1, then well happy when I hit 34.5xx, had one very "lucky" 34.3xx... and that was still 0.6 off the current fastest T1... That's just one sector. Its not funny any more guys. From now on you have to drive with your eyes shut.

Second session
T1 : 35.012
T2 : 21.023

Slight improvement, but better time at the finish line.
Like many others some serious struggling with T1 .
Did once a 34.seven,but no idea how to do it again... :)

They are not really that fast, they just keep getting there before we do! :dopey:

This is the point of the divisional system. You do not compete with Holland, you compete with the guys in your division and class.

T1: 35.009
T2: 21.294
Go Lefty go. Sorry about your PS3 bro If you need any cars drop me a message via PSN.

Think I've about maxed out on this event, I've bettered T1 but T2 Is slower. Over all a better result.

Updated times.

It was a joke Thomas :) ... hence the suggestion they should drive with their eyes shut. 👍 I wonder, actually, if they are so good at repetition they can complete a lap with their eyes shut... :dopey:

Is a lap clean as long as you don't have more than 2 tires over the white lines on this track.

Anyone help?

All tarmac is track, incuding tarmac beyond the white line 👍

Improved marginally with these splits,

33.869
20.815

It was an improvement of 0.068 but still something. Cheers.

So how about exiting turns and putting some of your car on the dirt, as long as you have 2 tires visibly on the tarmac thats clean I take it. Just a bit confused don't want to post a dirty lap. On this thread somebody posted that the white line is the track edge, thats why I wanted to make sure that if all tires are not over the white lines the lap will be clean.

Thanks for your help 👍

Yep, that's it... and as long as there's no barrier/wall/invisible barrier contact obviously.... (which is going to be harder to spot this week since we can't use the data logger with these replays.)

Never heard of that word before:dopey: The meaning of the word is quite obvious given the context and I appreciate it:tup: I'm here to help as well as compete.

It means "availability" and has not been used quite correctly... but then it was not posted by a native English speaker. :)

Took a break from crashing into things and missing apexes in Shift 2 to come back to this.

Somehow on my 6th go of the day after playing something as ham-fisted as Shift, I managed this:

T1: 34.707
T2: 20.897

Not that high up in comparison to the REALLY fast guys, but for me, this was an absolute corker! I won't be beating it, so it's on to the new event straight away instead :D

Wow, top T2 Matt 👍 So Shift 2 is good for something.... it makes you better at GT5. Good to know ;) :dopey:

:embarrassed: sorry, think i made a "free" translation for the portuguese word "disponibilidade". = "willing to contribute"

Slow down man, I was hoping to have crack at you this week!:sly:

Again, improved S1 and S2 together, and worsened S3. But overall slightly better time, so:

T1: 34.315
T2: 21.035

Have you ever had one of those days when everything works for you. I cannot do any times better than these. Thanks for all the advice Shigegaki, my T2, T3 times were much better.

T1: 35.238
T2: 21.077

I am submitting today, on to next weeks race.

I've had the same problem. You'll have to open the pedals and clean it out. I've already had to open it 2 times because of that, last time was a few months ago, but now it seems ok :)

Manuelos, thanks for your reply...truly appreciated!
