Small improvement tonight after a short session.

25.480
30.412

Some very small tweaks to the tune, back closer to what I had when I set the original time. A very small bit looser like this.

EDK Tune
RH -15/10
Springs 14.0/18.0
Dampe Ext 4/5
Damp Comp 6/8
ARB 6/3
Camber 2.5/1.0
To 0.00/-0.12

LSD 7/28/12

Aero = Max

BB 3/3

Transmission

Final Far Right

Top Speed Far Left

Set

2743
2191
1754
1453
1234
1052

Final = 4050

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the car's turning responses are better with ABS off. It's almost like there's a partial ASM attached to ABS. Or it's all just a placebo effect.

Gained a tenth on my previous best after an oil change. I think I'm right at break-in now.

Wow, nice splits porsch, this week theres major pressure, just when I think I've done a good lap I realize I have to keep pushing, hopefully Ill be able to get close to your splits

I think we all do, when I look at my splits and see and feel what is possible, I am convinced I should be finishing in your area aswell, but then again sometimes we see 'alien' times, wich I will not be able to approach this time.

Its hard to put everything together, I've had faster sector 1 times but either lose the time at the circle or in the last sector. Then when I put a decent lap, I may go a bit faster than my PB in a sector so I end up trying to chase some theoretical fastest time. Hopefully I can get a magic lap before the end of the week.

Had another run, but falling short by at least a tenth every lap.
Technically I've still got 0.25 left on track if I add up my pb's but in reality I may well be done.
Gonna get a few more runs in before the deadline though.

Great splits Chris, that's very impressive.

I gave the no abs a try porsche, I think it is better through the corners, but I can't adapt to the braking. Seem to loose the rear end even if I change the bb.

Gonna continue with tweaking the suspension and give it another shot tonight.

Edit:

Couldn't resist one more quick run before work

T1 25.367
T2 30.215

Added some rear spring, as I had it on minimum previously. Seems to be quicker through the last sector now.

I had my BB on 3/1 with no ABS. If you lock up the wheels under braking, your lap is ruined because you've already lost too much time from that.

Also made some slight adjustments to Kev's tune.... which I usually do for combos. I put rear camber to 1.0, LSD accel dropped to 25 and rear toe to -0.05 and it just about eliminated the low speed wheelspin out of the hairpins for me.

Gave up some time in T2, but the lap was about a quarter of a second faster overall.

25.539

Another small improvement.

Changed rear camber to 1.5, rear toe to -0.18.

25.491

Slightly faster splits:

T1 25.317
T2 30.225

Still a bit left to find, but real close to my limit in terms of speed and how much time I can put in before the deadline.

Had a good 45 minute session tonight. Ran good consistent times and then improved my pb towards the end. Using the setup posted by Kevin so thanks for that:tup:

25.200
30.179

Had a few .1 sector 1 but always mucked up. Didn't have a good sector 2 on this lap so I think maybe I could go .2 better. Key word was maybe there:lol:

Well, I finally found time for an hour long session, first time since Saturday morning.

Using a modded Chris super kart. There's about .25 out there yet, and I know I can find more if I can find more seat time. Probably won't try again till the weekend.

Barely lower at the line. New T1 PB. Slow T2(compared to my PB) so pretty sure I can go lower still.

25.839
30.395

Almost 0.2s at the line, but I had a bad T3... so there's quite a bit left for me on the track.

Hard to believe, but I saw a .485 T1 just a bit earlier  ... and then I spun out near the start of T2 :ouch:

EDIT:

25.726
30.518

Another 0.1s at the line, too bad I lost so much in T2...

Had a 10lap run before work, seeing better sector times but can't string a whole lap together with faster times.
Still about a tenth left realistically but with my pbs in every sector I could go a quarter of a second quicker.
Might do a run on sports softs, so when I come back to racing hards I can use the grip better.
Im liking your tune though edk, a lot more consistent through t2 and 3 than mine. Cheers

Can't put two good sectors together.

Often, when I get a good sector 1, I mess up the first turn of sector 2, as I'm not used to having all the speed built up at the T1 split and the braking point for the next turn.

Get in the habit of braking sooner for that turn so you still make the apex. It can be tricky, especially if you are using the extra tarmac from the support road out to the left. You need to make sure you don't start braking while the car is on grass, if you touch the edge of the grass there.

Thanks Kevin! I'll give that a try. When I get a faster 1st sector, then the first turn in T2 I have to shift into 1st gear to make it.

Been away from this one for over a week, and it took a while to get back up to speed.
Switched from Chris' super-kart to Kevin's tune:tup: and took a tenth off:

25.600
30.353

T3 was pretty good, but T1+T2 are yearning for a good .250 (at least).

Now I'm even more amazed at Lou, Jack, Viper, and Mike's DS3 onslaught.
Might have to try that on Monday, since I have that day off. :)

Looked back and my best lap was dirty by a hair, was able to get within a few thousandths for a new lap.
