Close to the limit, going to try chassis reinforcement and different settings now.

Hate this car, especially in the last sector, struggling to find a consistent breaking point there

Had the same problem, needed to figure out corner by corner, not taking you foot of the gas seems to be essential, still have 6 out 10 wrong excits at the big right turn just passed the first sector split.

Im trying to straight line the chicane part and break in a straight line, but sometimes the car reacts funny through the fast right left section before the chicane, which makes it a bit unpredictable

Are people using TC, AS, ASM ? Or combinations of the three ?

No TC for me I feel it would hold you back too much considering you would have to set it at at least 3 to have any effect, I tired ASM but that made me lose a full second in the first sector alone so I turned it off immediately, AS works well in sector 1 but didnt work well for me in the entry of of the first corner of sector 2 and the fast corner down the hill.

My second try. AS Strong, Praiano's tune with Vagabonds tranny. Full second faster than my first try.

Had my best time with TC1 planning on giving it a go without now.
I had Active steering on and off, still prefer to drive without.
ASM I never use.

Just improved my best lap time with 0.034 sec at the line.

Followed Manu's advice and did it without TC, managed to shave another 0.120 sec off my best time, think I am pretty close to a div2 time :)

Better sector times now and another 0.110 at the finish

24.336
22.027

Still tryin to nail the perfect lap 👍

I'm far away now on the leaderboard, going to give a last run this night ....:grumpy: Need to be faster.

New splits
24.773
22.378
And I always seem to do better in the first lap cold tires and all.

I've been ahead of my ghost by more than that at T2 quite a few times, but its T3 was so strong, I could never stay ahead! This time, I actually improved my T3 also, so quite happy with that. Almost 0.36 at the line.

Using Chris's 2nd tune now, it does feel better. 👍

EDIT: Woohoo!

24.313
22.003

And improved my T3 also! That's another 0.3s at the line.

And again....:)
Thanks to Vagabond and his gears, really make the difference.👍👍👍

Im gonna try Chris' tranny when I get home from work, I still need to understand that corner down the hill though are you guys using the curb on that corner? are you using both curbs or just the one on the right?

Added the chassis reinforcement then spent the rest of the night trying to make it feel right again. Should have left it alone.

I think I finally got it to drive decent, but am out of time for now.

Frank, you've just given up waiting for that promotion and stormed it up!
Nice speed you've found lately! 👍
I agree, get rid of those aids, drive this thing like it was designed to be driven.

@Manu, you mentioned straightlining the twiddly bits in T3, which is what I've been doing as well. I found a predictable line by giving a slight lift and crank of the wheel halfway between the final two orange markers on the right, prior to entering the final complex. I also have found a bit of unpredictability when hitting the rumbles in that final complex, which is why my current splits are more than .150 slower than my best banzai run through there.

And for the kink at the end of T2, I avoid the left rumble and turn in fairly early to try and hook the right rumble, downshifting to 3rd (Chris' gears:tup:) and getting slowly on the gas quick (oxymoron?!?). Might need to straddle the exit rumble on the left. :ill:

Great splits Racingworld.

Thanks guys, not satisfied yet tough, very minor improvment is still possible.

@Straffestef : Some very nice sector times you drove there, welldone mate 👍

After about an hour of banging into the wall down the hill and I finally managed to get through there without any incidents and maintain the lap through to the finish line, I think I'm close to the limit now.

24.434
21.869

This combo is teaching me quite a lot about driving fast, you have to be very accurate here, I think my skills will improve a lot after this. Cheers 👍 Kev for the great combo this week

My first laps, with a proper setup on the car. Has to be broken in still because I'm using the prize car from the Historic Cup instead of the OCD version.

Had a go earlier and was rubbish.... I didn't think standards got broken in though??

Will have another try to get some worthy splits!

If it's the car you won from the historic cup, it has to be broken in. If it's bought from the OCD, it doesn't need to be.

Ahh I see. Thanks.

323bhp seems to be the max then. The 2nd gear oversteer is a killer. New firmware first run on gt5 too which feels a little different....having to run 900 degrees :\
