The penny finally drops. My car was won in the historic cup

Oh just spend some dosh on a shiny new pre-broken in one Matt :sly:

New splits for me... just swapping sectors for pathetically small gains:

24.195
21.655

Up a daunting 0.025 at the line and still looking for 2 tenths - 1 in sector 1, 1 in sector 3. :)

Another try, little faster, harder staying on podium, great competitors in division.

24.559
22.321

About the same sector times, but set my best third sector time ever, giving me an improvement of my best lap with 0.243

24.340
21.976

Kind of crazy when you do some maths ; got just over 1800km on the car, all done on this track 1800 devided by 3.4 = over 500 laps :scared:

Thats a lot of laps, I was amazed last week when I saw that I did 1900 + km on the GV TT and I changed cars quite a bit before settling, I think I did so many laps that I instinctively knew where the braking points were :sly:

Yes it is, and I am not done yet so...

24.498
21.757

Only 0.011 slower than my best time, but more impressive split :)
If I could now nail all these best sectors togheter :dunce:

Were do you guys take all the time to do 500 laps on Rome? O_o

Usually can not do more than a 1000 km on the same combo, sometimes even 600-700 km.

I guess that's why I'm so slow in the TT's, have to invest more time in it, but where to find it

Me too, after 1 or 2 hours , i lose my concentration and the lap times are going down. No more fun.
Then i stop, do something else, tune some others cars and come back motivated 2 or 3 days after ,when i think about it or when i see i'm going down the leaderboard..:)
Sometimes , i feel alone .... nobody but me in the streets of Rome, no lions ,tigers or gladiators whith their tuned chariots... :guilty:
For sure this time i've spent more time than ever because of the fantastic Lancia Stratos RC. Great ride.

><(((((°>°°°°°°

I aswell take some breaks and do something else, it all comes down having the time or not, this week for example I was home for three days (thursday, today and tomorrow).
That would be two more days then a normal week....

And then there is the combos, the last couple where very enjoyable IMO, if i feel I am still able to progress than it is hard for me to stop :) Also the fact that I am on a learning curve that goes up, is very stimulating on itself. And then there are the opponents, It is a lot of fun if you are able to compete against the best in an absolute splendid enviroment (being WRS). I was never active in an online community wich is so honest and helpfull. Everybody helps the others where possible.

Wouldn't this be enough to get any person motivated 👍

I agree with you on the community,Frank, fantastic people here 👍

Praiano explained it fair well, maybe sometimes I'm not motivated because I'm not improving like I would.

And by the way: you're doing great in the last time, Frank, I hope for you you can keep it up ;)

500 Laps?...lol...I haven't ventured into my first TT here yet but in the Seasonals most of the time I'm lucky to get 10-15 laps in ...lol. I don't think I get 500 laps in 2 months in the game...lol..

:) this info is outdated now, at the moment I have passed the 600 mark.

My motivation comes from my disability and overcoming it. I strive to be the best and beings I have one strike against me, it leads me to countless hours of practice, just me and the open road. Have a good day gentleman.

I usually restart a lot, I never do more than 6 laps at a given time before restarting. I do an hour or so per day if Im not improving I stop till the next day for another hour or so.

For this event I got a time I was aiming for really early, I think im starting to get better at this. I think I can get 2 more tenths If I can get a .2 in the first sector, I think now that Hamilton has the pole I have extra motivation to try

What is that thread doing in the WRS archive forum?

I think I voted 4-8 hours, but I'm down to 3-4 hours now. It's hard to keep up the motivation when you've achieved everything you wanted to achieve. Maybe one little thing but that's very unlikely to happen anyway.;)

But, your tune is great with chassis reinforcement Chris.:bowdown:
So glad I made that decision. So everyone who hasn't tried it yet, go put on chassis reinforcement and try Chris' V2 tune.:sly:
It may be smart to make a copy of your gamesave before you do that, but I didn't.:P

After 9 laps:
T1: 24.226
T2: 21.555
Still getting into my rhythm of course, but that 2nd sector was pretty good nonetheless.

Pfft, ya pretty good I'd say.

This is the most fun I've had in a while, great combo Kev.

24.232
21.741

Another .2 left, but I'm already past where I thought I would finish.

Guess I need to put more effort into this when I get the chance to run again. Didn't realize I was so far down the board.

I wonder how you final sector is racingworld, I think I might run again, I was thinking of stopping for the week since I hit my target, but ill probably try and get 2 more tenths or so.

But, your tune is great with chassis reinforcement Chris.:bowdown:
Thanks mate - it was setup around chassis reinforcement - I've no idea what its like without it. That's a great sector 2 - I did a .606 earlier which was way my best but not done any .5s. You're a pain in the ass to chase you know. :sly:

I can do a low .0 in sector 1 so I'm still looking for about 0.2 on the lap as it stands. Once again, I think I'll end up stuck with what I've got now due to the usual lack of consistency.

Good luck all.

Great splits there too Baron. 👍
