The pain continues... after many, many laps, I finally set a faster time - only to find that it's dirty because I cut the chicane by two inches. :grumpy:

Ok, really disappointed i have to admit as i dont have time to run this event again, but thats part of the game, wondering if i will submit the other one since this one was a lot faster... :(

Thx for the answer. it was a 29, 832 and 47, 947 t2

Finally, some progress:

30.085
48.714

There's definitely a few more tenths to be found, let's hope I find them tomorrow...

Managed too find a little more time too run and also found a little more time on the track.

31.025
51.294

How do I insert a picture?

Just over the window you type in, you will see an little icon that look like a TV with a + on the lower right corner, click on it(it will say ''Insert image'' if you let the arrow on it) , then copy the link of the picture there, it will show the picture in the post when you submit your reply, if you want to see if it work just click ''Go advanced'' instead of submit reply. You need to upload the picture first on something like photobucket or flickr and copy the link from there :)

I try not playing GT5 late when i work the next day but couldnt resist trying again, the last lap was a turn off i almost given up:ouch:

not as good as the other one but at least its clean .

29.876
48.082

lost about a tenth vs my other lap, tomorow last session:scared:

Goodluck everyone!

Time submitted with the current splits.
I tried one more time for 30mn but it was impossible to catch my ghost :(

see you next week in the C7 ;)

Submitted this morning, left about .25 on the track but I've had enough.

I have had it with this one, but I did knock a little more off befor I packed it in

Is the curb next to the wall considered wall? Would that be a DQ??

Damn, my best lap by far too! My luck. I guess I try again tomorrow, that Casino turn is a hit n miss for me. Thanks ED.

Well I was not going to let that ghost get the better off me so I passed him and improved my PB lap time by a full second! :P:P:P:P you darn ghost!

I've got an 004, so i"ll resubmit that OT. The DQ'd lap was -200 better. So ther is better out there, but putting together is a %$#@&.

i dont know about the rest of you guys, but from the pic provided at that certain angle it doesn't look like there is any contact

try zooming in a lot and focusing on the tyre, that might help see if theres a gap, also look at the g-forces right after you thinks contact sometimes the gforce will spike a bit in the opposite direction if theres contact, but from the pic its very close

Went ahead and submitted my time.

Even when I did get 29.9xxs, was hard to stay ahead of previous lap's ghost for the rest of the lap. Not worth it.

Looking forward to trying out the next combo. 👍

Submitting with current splits. Had a quick go this morning before work but couldn't keep up with the ghost. Best lap has a little slide in the chicane and into Tabac, and I've hit a 29.90 in T1 so in theory I've left about 0.3 on the track. Some amazing times out there, well done everyone.

Well, seems that my laser on my PS3 has run its life. Tried everything to revive it to no avail so I guess thats it for me for awhile. Don't know when I'll be able to get it fixed. Will submit my current splits. Truely gutted but crap happens I guess. It was fun while it lasted. Just another roadblock in my path of success. Be back whenever I can. You guys will be missed for sure. I'm gone. Peace.

What is your PS3 doing? I had issues about a month ago but was able to wake it up again.

Had another quick session today but far too tired and impatient with the walls, so didn't get anywhere near previous splits, by some 6 tenths infact...was really quite terrible :banghead:

Checked my replay, it's got a close call but it's clean, so im submitting. Could have been better, never saw a sub 30 sector 1 though and have no no idea why....

Short WRS break for me as I'm not into the Nordschleife so much, be back racing soon though :D

If it is only the laser than it wont be to hard or to expensive... Ask GTP_Straffestef, he has repaired one recently. He bought a new lasersystem (costed him about 50dollar) and fixed it himself 👍

Good news, I got it figured out and its working again. Here is what it was doing. I would put the disc in and for about 30 sec. it would try reading it then it would make a short strange clunking type noise like it ejected the disc but it didn't eject. While I had it apart, I left that little tin cover off to see what was going on. Well, with that cover off, it worked so I assume that cover was mis-alighning the disc somehow or was making things bind inside. Thought it was funny because it was hit or miss sometimes when I would load different games. So, I just carefully put that tin cover back on, put it all back together and it seems to be working fine for now. At least I now now what the problem is. Also good too is the lens are nice and clean now as I cleaned the hell out of them trying to get it to work last night, lol. Just goes back to the words I live by, "Never give up..ever." Thanks for your concern Frank? Now, back to buissiness.

in cognito with mitch's statement I still haven't given up and as a result have been rewarded! not the best T3 ive done but better on line. let a .222 go in T3 on an earlier lap :(

29.847

Great job my friend. See, persistance really does pay off. It may get frustrating sometimes, but if you work thru it all, good things will come. Really happy for you and congrats on the improvement. NGU.

PS. WWMD (What Would Mitch Do) Mitch would NGU (Never Give Up)
Think about that phrase everytime you feel fustrated or feel you have reached your limit...and then continue on. Everyone.
