Using Jon's tune (thank you for that) and my own tuned gearbox.

Still left a lot in first sector....

Just got some time with my own tune, unfortunately very loose into corner and front still locking up under braking.

At some point I'm gonna have to learn the I can't tune tried Chris' Tune and went way faster. Thanks Chris.

Started to see a few .8s through the first sector and even a .7 but couldn't hold it together for the lap.

I had a question about the two tires in contact with the track rule. Is the second tire in contact with the track allowed to be also in contact with the grass slightly as well?
As on a few laps on the final corner I had the front left in full contact with the track but my left rear was always in contact with the track, but also slightly in contact with the grass - where the rumble ends. Is this allowed or is it supposed to be 2 tires 100% in contact with the track?

Cheers,

Louis

(edited my tune slightly - updated in previous post.)

The tires do not have to be 100% in contact with the track.

We have seen examples with only a small part of the tire in contact.
But what important is ,make it not to difficult for the lap reviewers.:)

And in doubt of clean,do not submit.

It is a all different ballgame when the bigboys decide to come and play in div3 :) Grabbing a medal will be hard. At least I improved a bit on my first sector, left 0.1 at the second and ran my fastest last sector so far. Concluding that I am not to far away of my limits with this combo. Fun tough

355hp now. Faster lap, slightly slower T1.

27.100
31.227

I'll get more time to run before the deadline. Hopefully I get a good improvement, although, I feel like I'm getting close to the limit already.

352hp currently.

Wow, that's really close to me. I think i should give one last shot on this combo. I tested the Louis's DS3 tune but it doesn't suit to me. I'll just have to trust myself and give my best.

Tried Lou's tune and improved in the end. Took a while though. Spend too much of the lap on the ragged edge.

Well boys and girls looks like will have too bow out of this one the cable guy showed up and it seemed like he got my Internet going again but within 10 min after he left it went down again so I have no way of posting a replay if I have too ( not that it is very likely ) So until they get it fixed I am out. Don't get me wrong I will still run the combos for fun until I can post again.

Later

New splits:

27.112
31.254

Unless I can find some substantial improvement, I don't think I'll be submitting this week. My above splits aren't even Division 2 standard, let alone Division 1. :(

Threw away two 57.8s in the last corner last night :(

Going to have one last go at this tonight after work, change the oil reinforce the suspension and crack open the red bull lol

I feel your pain bro. That final turn is so easy when you are cruising, yet almost impossible when you are backed by a good S2 split :nervous:.

I am not sure I will have time for another run tonight, already submitted current splits.

Good luck

I've just thrown away a couple laps that I had a 26.9 T1 on, and another lap that I had a 58.1 T2 on with that last corner. The lap I had a 58.1, the final corner launched me off to the pitlane. I was probably up 2 or 3 tenths on my previous lap.

Haven't been able to get that momentum back to run a faster lap, but I know it's out there.

Finally got a faster (clean) lap. Had previously set a lap and then matched it with a lap that had me go into the grass in the last corner, but this one is better than what I started with today.

Dropped a 26.88 which was disappointing but then cam up with this lap. Still just under 0.2 to find on my theoretical best but I've run out of time now. Good luck everyone

I've had that happen several times over the weekend. I am very disappointed with my time, almost decided not to submit but thought that wouldn't really be fair since I did put in quite a bit of time.

Submitted with the time on the board, hopefully my t3 is good.

Bled time in T2, wish I had more time; might try to drag myself out of bed early for a short last blast. Surprisingly difficult to nail; I feel like a car detailer with all the tire scrubbing. I doubt my T3 will hold up in this company, but it's way better than my first efforts.

Fun getting back to a cold Christmas, Jon? Hope it's Merry anyway!

Thanks Ren, yes although not too cold at the moment. Nice splits! Wish I had more time at this but 200 miles is more than I've managed for months now. Had a quick run before work this morning to get the current lap. I've dropped 0.15 to my best in T3 so I imagine I'll drop down the order come the results, but I am very happy that I've managed semi-competitive splits, albeit not on the same lap! Did have one lap that was a tenth quicker, but I had three wheels off at the exit of the last turn :ouch:

Submitting with the lap as it stands

After many, many retries and lots of pain, I managed to get my splits a tenth faster - only find find the lap is dirty as I went wide on the last corner.

I seriously have no idea how to go any faster. I've managed a few 27.0xx T1s and some 31.1xx T2s, but not only can I not string them together in one lap, even if I did I would still only be ninth!

I think I'm going to bow out of this one. I can't face submitting a Division 3 level time when I'm supposed to be Division 1.

Matthew, don't get too hung up on division placings. You have qualified D1 Bronze and that will always be with you. Keep trying, and remember it's supposed to be fun!

Notice: I won't be able to process and post this weeks results until tomorrow afternoon.
