Had another run, at full power now. Pretty much identical split times but made up nearly 3 tenths in sector 3 - it was very cautious before lol.

T1 27.040
T2 31.047

Great sector times Chris - especially sector 1.

I think I might be able to shave another 2 tenths off hopefully.

New splits, with the car correctly spec'd this time, I forgot to put on the exhaust modifications. I was down like 20 HP.

Ay up James lad. What you been up to?

Duly expected. 👍 WRS will eat your free time like its cake.

This was our last outing at DFR. Might be of help to some in terms of racing line.

Ah you know just been very busy past few months, just not really had any time for racing at all, but its calmed down abit now so hopefully get back on the pace fairly soon. Had a quick go on this combo last night and to be fair I thought I was doing a drift trial, couldn't keep the car on the track. Splits were too embarrasing to post, but should get abit more time at the weekend.

1st one hour session with my 60th TT in a row. :) Lots of time left on the track...

If anyone is having trouble buying this car...its a BMW. The tii on the license plate in the pics made me think it was a Subaru and since its not in the Subaru dealer I thought it must be DLC that I dont have. haha

"WOW" nice setup "V" 👍 other then using my 5 speed your setup balenced the car perfectly :) Thankz........ and the vid rockz also (it's the answers to the test )

T1: 27.653
T2: 31.386

Finally. It took forever to beat my first posted lap. I've had better splits but couldn't get through t3. This lap is very close on the exit of the last turn, but its clean and my fastest t3. Had some .9s in t2 so still more to get.

They are great splits already Chris 👍 Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys, it is going (apparently) surprisingly well so far.

Thanks Lefty - It was a bit hit-and-hope but seems to be working ok. I'm trying to figure out better gearing for the thing but its power curve seems fairly flat so optimising it is a bit iffy too.

1st sector vid with this mobile:

Well I didn't get to sit down at my wheel until after the WRS race started so I went to the TT. Splits are pretty much the same but I knocked 4/10ths off of my T3!!!

Ran some laps and the cars suprisingly quick and quite fun to drive.

Just dont have the time to devote to competing anymore so wont post splits but I did have fun trying this combo and think its a great one and highly recommend people give it a whirl.:)

Rigidity helps 💡

Would anyone like to jump in to the 3D3 main lounge right now for a quick photo shoot for next weeks WRS event?

Just did a quick 10 lap run with stock settings to get a feel for the car on the track.

Ended up with this happening in the open tunnel just before the end of T2 on that 10th lap.

Nice :) ... I wonder how that is possible!

It even looks borderline clean.

In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if all four tires would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.

It used to be 2 tyres on track or vertically above, but yes I see now that it has been changed. When and why if I may ask?

The rule is still the same. It's just been stated differently.

Now I am really confused. GTPorsche's pic would be legal with the old rule (left wheels are vertically above track), but not with the new (if airborne all four must be above track, not just two)? That is also how jammy seems to read it?

What if you go over the inside curb in the last turn (left wheels off track)? There is a high risk that one of your right wheels lose ground contact, if only shortly. That be dirty now, right?

I do not cut that curb, it tends to send the car flying in any direction so I stay off it, just asking. And I guess this has been discussed at lengths before, if you have some links please bring them on!

Sorry guys, the four wheels must be a copy paste error.

I think we used it for a special week, only can not remember which one:dopey:

In week 56 and 70, both on Deep Forest, the rule was two wheels .
So also this week, the picture with the flying BMW is clean.

I will change the OP.

Sorry for the inconvenience.:)

No problem and thanks for the answer 👍

Nige - hope you will be back on GT5 some time!
