Wow, your on rails mate 👍 I figure you are flat out at Eau Rouge

I wonder if the weekly race for this will also be in the wet, it would be amazing, it will remind me of this.

 No way. I'm just avoiding that wet line on the track as much as possible, that's all I do.;)
Not true Eau Rouge though, you can't avoid the racing line there.

So you're saying don't drive on the line that is on the road?

I didn't know Spa was in Oregon :sly:

I might give this a little session between the NFL playoffs. As far as racing goes, I'm terribly out of shape, haha.

I had a roommate in college with one of these Supras....until he thought it'd be sweet to drop it into 3rd at 80mph :ouch:

The racing line is clearly wetter than the surface that surrounds it. You can see that, right?
In some corners it's better to stay off that racing line.

I was thinking the complete oppositte, that the line has more grip :dunce:. I never tried driving off it. Thanks.

And great splits.

Will sure give that a try Wes 👍

Found improvement, very bad first sector, left more then 0.5 there. but my best second and third sector overall, improving my best laptime with over a second.

I drive off it, tried driving on it and you have to be more careful especially on exit. In reality the racing line has low grip because of all rubber on it, that becomes slippery, off the racing line theres more grip as there is no rubber. thats why in F1 folks who are on the racing line when starting a race often lose out to the ones on the dirty side. :) funny what you can learn watching f1 a lot

Medium first sector, best second sector so far, but left some time in the last this time, but still good for my best lap time. Giving the fact that I made several mistakes in this lap, it still should be possible to improve.

I think I'm close to my limit, if I can do another .1 in sector 1 and have this lap I'll be happy,

45.411

Got it :) now I'm chasing hundredth, unless I can get into the 1.20s in sector 2

45.047

DAMN Mamba:crazy:!

That is going to be difficult, but just received my playseat, so i will be on full attack mode this weekend;)

Cheers 👍 I just kept finding time lap after lap after lap. I know you'll be improving so I'm not giving up just yet, I'll run a few more stints :)

Hello Gents :) Quieter week this week so couple more hours to spare. Strangely addictive but frustrating this week. You can almost see a better lap then whoops, overcooked it a smidge. :D Great times up there already and Wes is mental! I gave it about 2 hours last night I think -

45.164
80.735

I can see a bit more in there but not sure how much. I should have another couple of hours to throw in this week - should be fun.

Made up some time but lost major time in T1, I dont think Ill have another good T2.

45.408 :(

Nice job Manu.

45.431
80.380

Still .6 left in sectors 1-2 from my best splits. Had a low .5 through t2 then tossed it. Done for now.

Finding some good pace in T2 Baron. 👍 You too Manu. 👍 This is a very rewarding combo once you start getting a good feel for where the grip is. :) I found a little more myself. :sly:

45.003
80.234

This was by far my most consistent lap from last night and knocked about 0.8 off my best from the first session. If I knock any more off, I think it will be less than 0.1 - I'm very happy with this lap. :)

You always make it look easy, nice job.

In theory I should be able to get near that time, but it's gonna be tough.

Great job Christina and Baron. Time for me to buckle down and find some time I guess, don't want to make it too easy for you guys :sly:.

Great stuff Manu!

Hey guys. Thank you all for the well wishing and kind words.

It was my intention not to run again this week, mostly out of respect for my wonderful missus during her grief. Personally I find a good session quite therapeutic and nothing if not escapist... but she encouraged me to "...go and do a few laps..." while she had a nap. A few laps has actually eaten up the last 3 hours; much longer than I would normally run in fact. :odd:

Fully immersed in the search for traction, I just got faster and faster and have now called time, ending the session 1.5 seconds up on my last posted lap. :mischievous:

44.971
79.375

I did a few 44.7 1st sectors over the course of the night but my sector 2 on this lap is my best by over 3 tenths and has an ok finish too. Not sure if I'll get another run given the circumstances in but I'm pretty happy with the lap I think.

Good luck all and take care of yourselves. 👍
