O nice one now to work on getting to the top lot :D! hehe!

Congratulations to those that got promoted, and looking forward to racing with everyone :)!

If you were going to write a wish list of all those that you wanted to see promoted, that would pretty much be it, save for one or two. Fantastic and well deserved all of them.

...clip...

Excellent to see Gravitron and Poolhaas up into D3 - the performances over the last few weeks have shown some great times and epic battles between the two of them 👍👍

we wont miss you too much in div4 :sly: Nah, i joke, congrats you two.
i wasn't gonna say it...... ;)

Thanks for the mentions/congrats, guys. ... I think. :dopey:

Actually I think it's pretty clear that a few D4'ers will still be besting me on a fairly regular basis. 👍
Excited for the new challenge, though!

Yep, thanks D4 guys, hope to see you there soon ;)

Btw, haven't metioned Bloodimayhem yet, good job getting in D4 👍

Division 2 Bronze (2.667 - 2.999):

GTP_ZR42 / ZR42 / AUS (2.684)

:odd:

Congratulations everybody on the promotions, seems like everyone is finally pretty close to where they belong now. (for now) 👍

That then would, on the face of it, seem to be the third or fourth instance in recent weeks of people putting little effort into the qualifier and then consequently run out of position with regards division. It's just a shame for those that want to compete for a division podium or even a win if there are a few 'ringers' in the mix. The possibility exists of course for anyone in that situation that they may be unfamiliar with the track and/or car used for the qualifier and if that's the case then I don't mean to cast aspersions on anyones good name or nature.

I mean nothing personal by this ZR42 so please don't take offence. Welcome to the WRS 👍 and I look forward to trying to keep up with you :sly:

I think it's more to do with starting out with the intent of not spending to much time on a single time trial, or week.
I could have ran a faster qualifying time, but wanted to set a standard which I could achieve every week, and frankly, I overachieved like hell, and have to put in more time each week, a LOT more to achieve a D1 Silver time then I did for the qualifier, he may just be unfamiliar with the course.

Just to clarify I'm not throwing accusations out there. I just know on Trial Mountain, online, he was a little faster than me that day, and it was a good day. :)

Likewise, and I realise my post comes across a little harsh.

ZR42, I apologise for passing judgement before you've even had the chance to hit the racetrack - that's poor form on my behalf :dunce:

Thanks matey, Call me Adam BTW.
Looking forward to mixing it with the D4 guys just as soon as i get the wheel mounted and get used to it!
Cheers All !!!

Regarding the qualifier, you have to remember also that it is a different ball game as there is no ghosts to use. In the end it can make a big difference.. I know for me it will, in many ways.

When will we have the pleasure of seeing you in the registry again?

It's on the works.. :) I have little problems though as I moved and currently have no proper place to race.

So hopefully soon..

Well done Adam, on both the promotion and long awaited arrival of the G27. I take it patiently waiting for the G27 was a far greater challenge though :sly:

Lot's of + signs in front of those promotions boys, well done 👍

Also welcome to the new drivers. In regards to the qualifier, i think the other thing to remember is that (In my case at least) you are unsure of what is regarded completely clean or not. I thought for example when I was qualifying, that if a wheel touched the grass at all it was dirty. That being said, I think it still did a reasonable job at placing me close to my skill level.

Agree completely.

Also, I think if you join the WRS early in your "learning curve" the two weeks it takes after you submit a quali time to the time you are registered and submit your first splits can be used to get a *lot* better... it did for me :) I lay the blame on PD for creating those expert seasonals during my two week waiting period which *made* me learn how to exit a corner properly, something I may not have been forced to do in the quali since I was just happy to put in 3-4 hours and hit a solid PR for each quali time.

Thanks, my application is in the mail :) Frustrating to drive that SLS, i kept trying to alter the suspension settings, forgetting it was the AMG challenge...

Thanks, but please note that Vaxen, responsible for handling the qualifications has just gone on holiday. So it may take a little longer than normal before your qualification is actually processed.

Joost, I just sent my qualification and read this on the qualifier topic:

Once you have submitted your qualification time you are then free to begin participating in any current GTP race event regardless of whether you know your division yet or not. Your division will be determined by your lap time submission. Please allow for two weeks from time of submission for your entry to be categorized.

Is this still valid? Does that mean that I can participate on these races and the WRS? I'm a member since GT5P and have my (clean) replays should they be needed.

You can always participate, But I don't know if fetchbot will recognise the splits you post.

I was in that position a couple weeks ago. The fetchbot rejected my submissions (both the official submissions and the splits leaderboard) because I wasn't on the list of registered drivers.

You can run the combo and compare your times like I did to see how you stack up, but you are not going to show up on the splits leaderboard or official results until you're on the official registration list and the fetchbot recognizes you.

Too bad then, thanks.

What is this fetchbot? For some reason I imagine something like this...

Must be a script that fetches the times ran, but what for? Is there a leaderboard outside of this site or something?

Yes, the problem is that I can't place you in the (correct) division. Only Vaxen has all the other qualifiers and can place you.

This means we can't generate an official placing at the end of the week for you since we don't have the correct division.

So we have no other choice but to wait for Vaxen to come back.

In the mean time you can just participate, but your results will not be included in the official results at the end of the week until you've been placed in the correct division.

Hi All, looking forward to posting some times. Don't think it will be this week though, that Ford is very pricey!

Hi Robulus, welcome to the Div4 crew. You can run some of the seasonals and make the money for the car quite fast as I found out. Hope to see you around 👍

Yep. Scratch my previous comment, I just made the cash so I'll have a go and post a time this weekend. Awesome.
