Certainly happy with the times, even though I know there's still room to go faster.. but isn't that always the case 
. Still unfamiliar with most of the tracks in GT5, WRS will be the way for me to really learn them. Just like I learned these parts of Nurb only now. Great to be back, need to try that Merc this weekend 
And thanks Vaxen for being quite swift with the processing time, I guess I submitted conveniently as the last patch of drivers were announced a couple of weeks ago. Welcome and congratulations to the other new drivers as well! 👍

Wow, squeaked into D3 Gold by about .004. That's what I get for missing 3 of the past 4 weeks, I guess.
Guys much more deserving:
Jack, T13R, teecro, stanley - Saw it coming, you're all hella good drivers, especially using the DS3.
Marc, Tim - duh, if I made it to D3 Gold, you guys definitely belong there or higher, as you usually beat me (including tonight, online!👍), and drive me to spend 10hrs+ a week trying to match your times.
poolhaas, MilleRSVR, Lynx_Can - saw those coming as well, nice work men.
Kristof has been busy attending all these real racing events, I bet he'll catch up to/pass me in no time. 👍
Blair, keep it up, and you'll be out of the somewhat empty D4 soon. Podium every week? OK. Nice online race tonight with you, too! 👍
And of course, thanks to Kevin, Joost, Vaxen, Steven, and any other Admins who keep this place rockin' every week.
So far it's been beyond what I expected, but I'm also interested in the changes a-comin' that you've alluded to recently? 💡Welcome new drivers as well!

Congratulations on all the promotions guys, they're well deserved as week by week you D3 guys are clipping at the heels of D1 drivers (I'm sure one or two of you beat me in the Subaru at Madrid)
Yeah that would be good, it would give us D1 Bronze guys a chance. Congrats to Timppaq who set an amazing time in the qualifier. The weekly events are tougher than the qualifier, but i'm sure you'll do just fine 
Any chance of extending the podiums to 5 instead of 3 to give some of us a chance

I remember watching him sail off into the distance at Suzuka when I was fortunate enough to end up in the same race room in Prologue. I was losing about 1.5 seconds per lap thinking "That's just not possible." A joy to watch until the esses and he'd gone....

.631 handicap? That's about 25% of what mine is, so does that mean on a 1 minute lap (for me) Timppaq has to get round in 15 seconds?
Congrats to everyone who has got in or been promoted, especially T13R cos you're in my division and your a pad driver and I think (like me) you started out a little lower than you should and you're now getting up to where you belong!

*IF* that's true and he participates it'll be a while before any of the rest of us "true" D3'ers actually get another shot at Gold. And we just got T13R promoted too. MrDinosaw qualified with a 3.7+ and even if he runs D1 level times it's going to take a while to move that average under 3. But the D3 army doesn't roll over easy... just ask T13R... I think he had to work for the podiums anyway

After promotions or new driver additions, you can look at the official Registry, and note that Vaxen has edited the Division posts with current handicaps. This should give some idea how far one is from their next promotion. 👍
Left number is what they started at (from the qualifier), and right number is the current value, as of yesterday's edit:

GTP_Insatiable / millross / UK (3.918 / 2.506)

The king has finally returned and pretenders like myself can finally step down from keeping his seat warm, which is all we can ever do in the presence of such talent. Well done buddy 👍

My left thumb almost lost most of the fingerprint in one area... that's how hard I have to try to have a chance to get at the top of D3! I've been in D1 for GT3 and GT4 (qualified in D2 both times), I rushed through the qualifier to meet the deadline and landed in D3 bronze this time, but the level of racers in GT5 WRS seems to be much higher than before. It took me 9 weeks to get from D3 bronze to D2 bronze... D3 is highly competitive and I know a few people who will most likely make the jump to D2 come the next round of promotions. I even had my ass handed to me last night by 3 of them. 👍*IF* that's true and he participates it'll be a while before any of the rest of us "true" D3'ers actually get another shot at Gold. It seems some people miss some background: Timppaq was already in 2010 in the national finals in the GT Academy

You're current handicap is 3.868, which has improved compared to you're qualifier time (3.940). The handicap required for promotion is anything under 3.667.
Anybody else add to this, or have I covered everything?
I am sure this information is correct, in other words keep doing what you're doing and there's a good chance of promotion:tup:

Kind of sad, but your mention of WRS in GT3 and GT4 made me wish I had a time machine so I could go back and join in WRS back then, instead of just pummeling the AI over and over, giving a false sense of ability.
So many better things a time machine could be used for, though. 
Didn't realize you were a long-timer, congrats and we'll miss you in D3 (until we join you in D2!
