GTP_WRS : New Drivers and Promotions.

It seems some people miss some background: Timppaq was already in 2010 in the national finals in the GT Academy

If you read my post carefully, you would see me mentioning GT5P, that was in 2008. So I knew he was a fast racer a few years before he even became a finalist in the GT Academy nationals... I said I didn't know him because I never had any interactions with him, I had no idea before yesterday that his name was Timo.

However I can see how that link can be useful for people who have never seen him around before.

And what?! MrDinosaw is Div3?! No way...he's a LOT faster than me (and I was the qualifier rusher)...
Something's not right - he's deffo Div1 material!

*IF* that's true and he participates it'll be a while before any of the rest of us "true" D3'ers actually get another shot at Gold. And we just got T13R promoted too. MrDinosaw qualified with a 3.7+ and even if he runs D1 level times it's going to take a while to move that average under 3. But the D3 army doesn't roll over easy... just ask T13R... I think he had to work for the podiums anyway

599 is going off my SLS TG time. (16.286 DS3, no aids, no cutting) but to be honest that took me a very, very long time to achieve.

I don't have a lot of time in a week for the WRS and as such probably wont be running that fantastic of times, I put in what I felt to be a fair bit of time to the qualifier and definitely didn't sandbag. I'm just here to compete & have fun like everybody else, and I'm sure my fellow, more experienced D3ers will be happy to show me the ropes (and their taillights )

I thought I was showing you my 5th-in-D3-this-week taillights, and then was confused how you jumped up there with gooners without making a new post about it. But then I found your massive post on page 5 that you've been steadily editing...Nice trick. 👍 Yeeeeessss, we'll have to keep an eye on you, won't we?

You're current handicap is 3.868, which has improved compared to you're qualifier time (3.940). The handicap required for promotion is anything under 3.667.

Anybody else add to this, or have I covered everything?

I am sure this information is correct, in other words keep doing what you're doing and there's a good chance of promotion:tup:

I remember when my little boy was that age, a fun experience when I had to be up at 5am for work

I preferred it when he was that age though, as they don't seem to go through your bank account as fast as what they do when they get older. My boy is 9yrs old now, and I wasn't ready for this part of their lives where they ask (or want) everything

I also was surprised about how much I improved my AMG time since special event completion, in early days, and also how much gap there was between final submitted time and a time a 'judged' "ehi, this is a very good one. I'll submit this" -> sandbagging avoided.... now I have to struggle with faster people because of that awesome qualifying

When you submit your quali time you are allowed to compete in the current WRS.
You can post your splits just to compare ('cause they won't appear on the board yet)
