I would be interested in these events to hopefully pick up some tips

The thing that worries me about doing this is I am not the most consistent driver, worried I would cause collisions. I tend to out brake myself a lot by trying to take turns faster. This is probably the main reason I have never raced online in GTS

@Special_K I hear you as I am not consistent as well...:nervous:

I am taking a leap of faith tomorrow as this will be my first lobby experience. If you get a chance tomorrow, join us!

Online racing is quite a lot different than Time trialing. In TT there's only you. In Online racing there are others around you and the only way to learn how to behave with others around you is to jump in, try and learn.

There has to be a first time for everything.
Looking forward seeing you guys on track!

Good news...kind of.

Due to the snow storm tomorrow, I don't have to open the hobby shop.

So I confirmed to do the NA race tomorrow night, assuming the snow doesn't take out the power

See you on track (in your mirrors)...1st race...I just hope to finish without nerfing anyone...

There is a good chance the rat will infest both EU and NA races.
I haven't run a single lap of this combo so I better start practising.
Time to change your signature, Mike! :P

Thanks for the great attendance guys!

Wow...that was fun! Kudos to @Argon you are a fine gentleman and it was a pleasure to race with you today! 👍👍

This was my first time in an open lobby and I will be back...for the racers around me, if you have any suggestions, comments to help me improve, please let me know. :)

I did have one question...I use a TM 300 wheel and I have a DS4 controller active as well. I had my headset with mic plugged into the DS4 for sound and chat and that worked great but my wheel was dead. I tried a complete re-boot of the PS4 and entered the room through the wheel but as soon as I plugged in my headset to the DS4, the wheel went dead. Any suggestions?

I slipped up and went wide and let you through and for the life of me I couldn't catch you until we both caught turnup and then you just seemed to go off track but I was so close I couldn't see why. Given the present I wasn't about to turn it down that would have been rude

Great race though and I can't wait until we're at it again..such good fun when you race against good clean drivers who have the utmost respect for each other. That lobby tonight was brilliant and I can't thank our OLR staff enough for organising these.

I'm a bit stumped with your connectivity issue. I have a TM T500RS and Turtle Beach Elite 800 headset so I have my wheel in one USB and the headset base unit into the other. I do have a DS4 as well but I don't connect my headset through it as the TB Elite is completely wireless.

Hopefully someone else can help....you did try switching the USB's around? Back in the day that used to matter but that was a PS2 issue IIRC

Maybe the wheel has to be connected before the DS4? My headset is wired as well. The few times I have used it for sound with my wheel I had to be careful. If the sticks get bumped on the DS4 it will mess you up.

The NA race later will be my first experience in a lobby, and I have a similar setup (G29 plus headset in DS4) hopefully this was just a one time thing, or the other participants will be robbed of my incomprehensible kiwi-isms.

And in other news, I ran a few laps just to get used to this car again, and beat my TT time by half a second.
