I don't know why but for some reason I thought it was bad etiquette to overtake the race winner after they had finished their race.
So for my final lap I followed @MadMax around on his parade lap.
Pekka must have wondered what the crazy tailgater was doing ☺
That's why I ended up 2 and half minutes behind instead of 1 and half. Crazy eh.
Live and learn.

I totally rammed every slow car I encountered, being last is awesome!

I do not think I will make today's races. I have been trying to get my PS3 to read the disk but I am having no luck. Will keep trying but I have been trying since 4pm yesterday.

Constantly?

I've heard of persistence, but that's a new level.

Hopefully I can join the 3am pack later when my bandwidth isn't being throttled.. time to pop my online cherry with you guys  hopefully there's room for 1 more?

Cheers Ron.

Looks like we have plenty of room. 👍

5 confirmed and 7 reserve right now, with room for up to 16. And one reserve is actually @Gravitron who is really out.

I will be there.

Damn! I better try and get used to the tyre wear and how to manage them during a race, this car eats tyres after 6 pushy laps :D ah well I'm on now warming up... hopefully I set all the room regulations up correctly or I'm pretty much pissing in the wind right now

2 pit stops required, and the car is going to take more than 100 Liters of fuel. In other words, you'll need to make 2 stops, take fuel at each of them. Maybe 15 Liters minimum on the first stop, depending on your lap timing.

I might not be able to make it tonight, have a lecture then have to go to the lab to finish some modeling and piston rod stress analysis on the computer.

That said if I'm not there best of luck to you all. 👍

Thanks for the info Kev 👍 for the record my lap timing online is nowhere near my TT offline laps  so 15 litres it is 👍

My fastest online in the room Saturday were 14.9's, so 7 tenths or so off my TT submission.

1 full second is not uncommon, I think fastest of the entire room in the quali was a 14.6 and in race was a 14.7.

But that was not with @mcsqueegy

Oh, and by lap timing I mainly meant where you stop in the race. Stop later for the first stop and you will likely need to take more than the 15 or so. I think the math might say 10 liters, but I would not trust the math. I messed up and zeroed mine out in the first stop Saturday and had to 3 stop. :ouch:

I am working on opening the official race lobby now. I know Ron has a room open, want to make sure I know all the settings and have the NAT 1 connection for the host.

Just warming up mate... will join your room when i see it live 👍
No problem, I just didn't want anyone else joining to be confused.

Lobby is open, I don't have my mic up yet and will be away from keyboard for a moment.

Well,as they say "you have to try everything once" . I tried to run in the NA room after 3 hours of sleep.
The waking up part wasn't the hardest thing, fnding pace on the track however...:dunce: different story.
Despite the sleep hours the start time is at 4AM over here, and let''s just say human beings are not on their best at that time of the day.
So I've noticed..
Thanks all for the driving lesson

I guess you are saying @MadMax is not a human being? ;)

Thanks for coming last night, was good to have you there. I was wondering what might have been going on with you. I was a bit off my optimum pace in qualifying, I was hitting high 14's in warmups and was a couple tenths off that. It only would have meant being in front of you, and then I managed to get a run through that last corner on the second or third lap. I was thinking you must have run wide or missed a shift, not sure. But I noticed the lap prior you'd been running a little bit different line there, so I was trying something anyhow. I was glad it worked!

In any case, I was happy to have a much better race for myself than the Saturday WW, and it was fun having such a top notch turnout from a pace perspective as well. We had 5 of the top 7 TT positions represented in the room, and I think it would have been 6 of the top 8 if @MadMax had not had laptop issues at submission time!

While I was not faster than you and @randy1122 on outright pace in the TT, I managed to get the better of you guys on consistency, strategy, sleep..........something like that.

Great fun last night, guys. 👍
