That was a tough race. Could only hold my concentration for about 10laps then it was gone and I made some mistakes which cost me a lot of time. After my only stop I could drive some good laps and keep up with @MadMax until that 10 laps again. I just was too tired to race I already had driven 957km in my own car that day without making any mistakes.

Good combo, good racing and the car is fun on this track 👍.

I did have a chuckle in the formation lap when a certain someone fell of the edge on the banked corner , got to say its the first time i've seen it, 👍 to the pack for letting him back through.

Didn't know we had a choice! Might have gone cruel on him if I knew :D

Never come across it and don't think there is any rule on it, if it was the last corner and the pole sitter is about to go I think it would of been different ;)
The only rule I could find was
  • No passing is allowed before the start marker.
So we would of all had to stop who were behind . But it shows the fair and respectful driving that happens in these events as everyone let the dune buggy driver back through 👍.

p.s should do a Dakar Rally i'm sure he would do well :sly:

My NAT type is still NAT3. Will this be a problem for the race? (I don't think I can fix it easily any time soon, I'm still tethering via my phone and don't have "real" internet yet. I *might* be able to hack something together at some points, with proxies and so on.

Paging @AaronDonegal. Quoting your post from the TT thread over here in the online race thread. If you have doubts about your internet, please try to join one of our practice rooms that will be up on Tuesday. If it's determined that you're lagging too much we may have to ask you wait until you get that "real internet". Lag can ruin others' race.

Was a great race on Sat, and with all the possible problems this game has with online at the moment, I think animation stuttering was about the only thing we all experienced...
no sound loss during the race, 15 starts AND finishes (no DC's), no invisible drivers. 👍 Maybe we should just turn the time acceleration down to 1 and hope that it makes the framerate smoother;
I didn't feel that the morning to afternoon transition really contributed much, as I didn't really notice it while concentrating on this tricky track.

Congrats Bart on the narrow win, with Ian right on your heels! Hard fought battle. 👍
Good battle in the first stint @mclarenf176, and your 2 stop strategy had me worried for the majority of the race.
I think it's pretty clear 1-stop is the way to go though.

I'll be missing for a bit.

Good Luck - something's terribly wrong after the update. Game loading for about 5 min and now it crashed at the home screen...reinstalling instead of racing :banghead::grumpy::ouch:

I'm out for tonight too guys. Could you do any racing? Seems like the buggfixer raised some new ones?

Yes ran the full race with no DC's.
But...there was this problem...I was tooling around in 5th when I came smoking into into the banked turn...lost concentration...had a lazy spin...returned to the track....was repositioned going backwards....lost a lap dropped to 8th...and saw what had distracted me...there were two cars in the desert?. After the race others said they had similar problems..I would not be putting that one in the record books.

It would appear that all is not well in PDLAND.

Maybe some Baja racers got lost in the desert.

I also got lost in the desert at lap 16 and when I rejoined the track I was kicked from P4 to P10 and as a super bonus I had to drive lap 16 again. Next time I passed start finish I was 1 lap down on everybody. :ouch: Then I screwed up myself being to eager to get back and lost another lap. I think this was just A nightmare and will wake up in A minute and have A great race.

Thanks for hosting @hasslemoff and @Iceman220 great win and pole. 👍

I also failed to keep the car on track in that sector 3 spot once, where the service road runs, but I came back the same way without cutting.
