In the event of a field of 13-16 drivers we will disable mics and race with one grid. With 17+ we will split the grid (SEE Lounge Splits BELOW).

Register Here

[dropbox]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46246500/specialGT6_014_reg.png[/dropbox]

(tables will auto update approximately every 30 minutes)

Eligibility

This WRS-Online event hosted by 3D3 Racing is open to GTP_Registered members only. If you are not currently on the registry run the GTP_Registry qualifier and join now!

Registration Instructions

The following must be performed by every driver for every event:
  • Click the registration button above, fill-in and submit the online registration form (be sure to use the PSN that's listed in the registry)
  • Leave a quick note in this thread to let us know you've registered and any other comments.
The following must be performed only one time per driver (not per event):
  • Submit the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form. Your information will need to be verified before you are added to the db and before your ID will appear in the registered driver table above. You can view the official driver database here.
Registration Changes

If you want to change your time slot, add a time slot or update your color choices just click on the registration link and fill out the form again and submit with new values. Your last entry will override any previous entries.

Cancellations

If for some reason, after you register for the event, you are unable to attend please click the registration button above and complete the form again selecting "cancel" as your status. Please also post a note in this thread as the table above can take some time to update.

Delaying or Restarting Race Start

Once the race countdown timer has started, the race will only be restarted in these cases:
  • Multiple drivers report a black screen/hang, instead of the 3-2-1 countdown.
  • One or more drivers get disconnected before race-pace has begun ("GO" for grid-starts, end of formation lap for rolling starts).
  • Steward realizes there is a condition that would lead to an unfair or poor race experience.
Once the race countdown timer has started, the race will explicitly NOT be restarted for:
  • Latecomers, even if you've registered
  • Driver realizes he picked the wrong car parts (ie, tires) or driving options (ie, Auto tranny)
Lounge Splits **Unique to this Event**

First, every driver that confirms their registration will be ranked using their handicap from the official registry.

Second, we will sort the confirmed drivers 90 minutes prior to the race and divide them up evenly. If there are an odd numbers of drivers the extra driver will be assigned to the A room. At that point the stewards convene and assign a director and supporting steward for each lobby. Then at about 50-60 minutes prior to the race the room #s and driver assignments will be published to the thread.

Third, we run an extended 15 minute qualifying session to determine the grid order. Drivers will then be asked to move to the room which they qualified for.

Reserves: Drivers with reserve status at 90 minutes prior to event start will not be included in the lobby assignments, but will be listed with their applicable handicap in a reserve list. They will have to request on the thread to be added to a lobby and the assignment will be at the discretion of the stewards. In that case handicap will be used as a guide, but there are no guarantees last minute confirms/entries will get the room you want and in some rare cases may not get to race at all (e.g. if the room split is such that there is two full rooms or if the new driver would create an additional room that wouldn't be supportable with the number of stewards available). Reserves will be handled on a first to request basis using the online race thread. Do not use the google form to confirm/register at the last minute, but use a thread post instead. If you are on reserve list or not listed at all in the lobby assignments do not join a room until instructed to do so.

Abuse: Because confirming guarantees you a grid spot it's important that nobody abuses the status. If you are fairly confident (80%) you are going to make the race sign up as confirmed ahead of time, but it's important you update your status as you get more information and for sure no later than 90 minutes prior to the race. At that point if you are not 99% sure you should be on reserve. This is a courtesy we ask, not only for the admins/stewards, but also for the benefit of other drivers that have accurately stated their status. We're going to use a three strike rule. A confirmed driver that "no shows" will receive 2 strikes. A confirmed driver that cancels less than 90 minutes of the race, but before race start will get 1 strike. Three strikes in any 8 week period and the driver risks being suspended from the online participation for 8 weeks. We know "stuff happens" and real life comes first so this allows some forgiveness, but we can't manage multiple rooms effectively if we don't know at least a bit ahead of time who is going to be showing up and we can't have people taking advantage of the system to guarantee their spot at the cost of someone else.

The top 3 Championship point Leaders receive the above ballast after each round (max 45kg). Round 5 all ballast is reset to 0kg.

Point system based on Division placement.

The GT500 Championship will be split into two Championships
  • Division A = Division 1 and recognized Div 1 pace Drivers
  • Division B = Division 2 and Below plus recognized Drivers
Division A drivers will not score points outside of Room A.
Division B drivers will run in room B or C only.

If you are a Division B driver and wish to join Division A Championship you are free to do so but the same rules in regards not scoring any points in room B applies, please let us know before Motegi or you will automatically be placed in your respective Division.

Formation Lap
  • No tyre warming allowed
  • Staggered Formation, no overlaps
  • 62 mph / 100kph final sector formation speed, please maintain a steady speed before the final sector.
  • You must not accelerate until the car in front does so.
  • Also the formation is a good lag detector, if you see other drivers jumping around a few times and you are not you are generally suffering from lag, dropping to the back of the grid, hanging back and been patient for a lap or two and the issue can go away, doing this helps everyone have a better experience and gives the effected driver a chance to have a lag free race.

Track Boundary Guidelines
Drivers are expected to do their best to stay within track boundaries per the OLR. Mistakes happens over the course of a long race and the random off or two will be overlooked in most instances, but if a pattern of boundary abuse is observed penalties will be handed out which include 15 seconds for a "minor" pattern of abuse, 30 seconds for a "substantial" pattern of abuse, and a DQ for "complete disregard" of track boundaries. In cases where penalties may not impact the driver (e.g. DC), the penalty may be carried over to the next event and may be applied as a 5 (minor) or 10 (major) grid spot penalty.
It's up to the admins' discretion exactly what qualifies as "minor", "substantial" or "complete disregard". Going outside the rumble by a centimeter isn't as serious as a car length wide excursions into the run off area. Factors such as dirty air and traffic also come into play. If you find yourself going wide then the next lap you're expected to slow down a bit more to make sure you stay within boundaries. If you make the same mistake multiple times and you want to avoid a penalty you can always self-penalize during the race by lifting for a very brief period upon returning to the track. Continuing to hammer the throttle after repeated boundary overruns may very well end with a post race penalty.

General Guidelines:
  • Contact with walls should be avoided. Wall riding/bouncing to gain time will be penalized and/or can result in disqualification. This includes pit entry/exit.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track.
  • If you overrun boundaries by accident, lift momentarily to make sure you don't gain any advantage.
  • Do not complete a pass that was made possible by going outside track boundaries.
Track Specific Guidelines:
  • TBD
Standard Clean OLR Rules Apply:
  • Unless otherwise specified, all rules from the original WRS event apply.
  • You are expected to drive clean at all times as if you are racing in the WRS. All participants are required to follow the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules & Guidelines.
  • 3D3 Race Stewards (who are taking part in race, but will review the replay) reserve the right to kick out or invalidate the result of any driver from the Race Room for driving offensively. If you ignore any warnings from the stewards and are kicked out of the race room, you will not be allowed to participate in future 3D3 events.
  • Contact with walls should be avoided. Wall riding/bouncing to gain time will be penalized and/or can result in disqualification.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track including green painted concrete.
  • Limit your contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

Passing and Blocking: Aggressive blocking is not permitted, but the driver in front has the right to choose his/her line and braking point and drivers behind should respect that line. Be especially careful when you are on older tires than the competition as the speed difference may be significant. These events are "for fun" so just play nice and take a conservative rather than an aggressive approach when possible.

Good Luck, OLR Team:gtplanet:

Just purchased the Supra Base Model , 557 bhp @ 1090kg gets me 600pp not 597 pp as stated above ? Have done an oil change and power limited to 90.6%, guessing it's a typo.

From source: 557 hp, 88.8% power, 1090kg, 597pp, mid turbo + engine state 3

Was it stock aero ?

Ill double check the spec of the Supra base model as it was fine with the yellow hat, do not add the engine upgrade, nissman has not had chance to edit the image on his thread yet.
@Roflwaffle, after further testing with the Supra I decided it will run with only mid turbo as all other cars. So no engine stage 3 installed.

Toyota Supra specs: 557hp/1090kg, 90.6% limiter - Mid Range Turbo Installed

I will update the spec list as soon as possible.

No problem guys I have no problem sharing the specs with you. I hope the specs work well for you guys, they did for us.

To go a bit more in detail on characteristics of the cars.

Supra is very fast on straights and has the highest top speed but is slower in corners and has the biggest tyre wear of all cars probably. But still MSP_J-Town managed to be the champion with the Supra last season so its a good car with the proper tune.

Nissan GTR is an all around car, usualy fast on most tracks but has 30 kg ballast and is the heaviest on the list. Still a safe choice.

Lexus SC430 might be the best option with a good tune. Very fast out of corners, good top speed and low tyre wear, good pace on a long run.

Nissan Z, is a very balanced car but needs a bit more agressive driving style. Drivers got a few great results, fastest laps and poles last season with the Z.

I have to say this event looks great. This is open only for registered WRS drivers ? As I would really like to join you guys if it's posible?

Signed up for race one as a reserve. I'll confirm for sure when we get closer to the race.

Also, once you choose a car to race in one event, are you required to use that car for the remainder of the events you participate in? I think this should be the case so we keep variety on the grid.

Again thanks for your time and letting us use your specs 👍 and showing interest.

Yes its only open to Register'd WRS drivers. But it's very easy to join it takes about 10 minutes now. You only need to provide any saved replay (best lap / ghost replay) while signed into PSN.

Here is the thread which gives you all the details then once you have done that Fill this form out to register for the online races.

I'd like to be part of this! :)

Quick questions:

- Is there a limit as to how many cars there can be of the same type? (For example there are already 2 entries with the Yellowhat GT-R).
- Why is'nt the "Nissan Calsonic IMPUL GT-R '08" in the list despite being in several of the photos, being of the same specs as the others, and even being in nissman's list?
- is the oilchange mandatory, or can you skip it? (gives less PP at the same bhp due to less torque, but you never need to worry about oilchange every 200km)
- The Engine Tuning is applicable on the Nissan GT-R cars, is it allowed?
- The "Nissan Motul Autech GT-R" weighs in at 1030 kg without ballast, I'd assume you are not supposed to add ballast to it? (as it would put it at 1060 kg)

Typos in the OP:

- The Engine Tuning should be N/A on the Nissan Z cars (not applicable)
- The "i" in "Nissan" of the "Nissan Xanavi Nismo GTR" and "Nissan Yellowhat GTR" is wrongly spelled with a capital "I".
- The word "Model" in "Nissan Z Base Model '06" is wrongly spelled as "Modle"

Ok got it. I will register in the next few days 👍

@TRL_Andromeda, specs are tested and made with all cars having an oil change.

Motul GTR obviously doesn't have ballast added as it already has 1130kg.

Mandatory as Nissman has said all cars were tested with oil change

No typo 👍

As been mentioned no ballast needed. Edited post 👍

👍:) Thankyou

Also added @nissman image to the OP
Thanks for the clarification!
What this basically means is that the PP is a constant and not a upper limit then, as there is nothing you can do that will lower it without lowering the peak power at the same time (limiter), wich is of no benefit whatsoever.

P.S, you forgot to change the engine tuning to N/A on the Nissan Z cars ;) (not a big deal tho)

Ok thanks, I will try to find some time this week to register and join you guys.

Edit: Hehe, I forgot I already made a reply about registering. Nevermind then.

Can't wait to be reunited with the Z, as we won the team championship in it in the PURE Japanese Grand Touring Series 3. Such fond memories.

I remember that very well PASM. Probably one of the best forum events on Gran Turismo ever. I still watch the race replays on YouTube once in a while. Still not sure how I got three podiums in that season with such hard competition. As you said great memories.

Edit:

@hasslemoff, before I even try to register. Is there even any space left as I see the grid is alredy full?

Yes there is space available, we will run two rooms if there is a need to (will discuss with the admins and stewards to decide on the number of drivers needed for a room split).

@xStretch- if you wish to join you need to sign up to the WRS. Details are just above your post 👍

Plus @Gravitron @PASM @GTP_Patrick1 could maybe a bit of advertising in the enduro section ;).

And a bump for the drivers who raced in the GT300 triple mix and a few regulars.

@skyline1683 @TeamEdge702 @dangerzone641 @Friday_GTRP @Tuesday_Black @mohitraina91 @numbnuts70 @Mini Stiggy @Doodle @w-g-e @GTPGhost

And a few others i've missed and i'm sure they will get tagged
